To clarify the mechanism in which signals to regulate food intake are transmitted from the gastro-intestinal system to the brain, we analyzed changes in hypothalamic neuronal histamine using cross-intestine parabiotic rats. Pairs of weight matched Lewis rats were sewn together in such a way as to form a common abdominal cavity. The small intestines of rats were transected and reconnected so that food eaten by one rat passed through a segment of its partner's intestine before returning to the intestine of the first rat. Concentrations of neuronal histamine were measured in microdissected hypothalami using radioimmnoassay. Sustained alteration of food intake were observed in both rats, one rat eating an average of 2.2 times (SE 0.15) as much as the other, without development of any significant difference in body weight after seven weeks. We found significant increase in hypothalamic neuronal histamine concentrations in the arcuate and tublomamelary nuclei of the hypophagic *** results are supportive of the theory that histamine acts in response to signals from the gut to regulate food intake.

19世纪西方文明的冲击,促使东亚知识分子重新审视传统学术,并在中国古代思想中发现逻辑思想。日本学界较早接受西方学术,其对中国古代逻辑思想的研究也取得丰硕成果。日本学者最初是以西方传统形式逻辑为标准,考察中国古代思想,后来逐渐开始关注中国古代汉语的特性,从语言学的角度探究中国古代逻辑思想。这些是日本学界中国古代逻辑思想研究的独特途径。此外,日本在这个领域的研究,从以西方逻辑学为标准看待中国的逻辑思想,转向探究中国独有的逻辑思想。中国学界对中国古代逻辑思想的研究也呈现出类似的趋势。两国学界应加强交流,共同推动中国古代逻辑思想的研究。

The Japan Clinical Oncology Group has recently conducted large scale clinical trials with findings that have revealed pivotal strategies for the treatment of resectable gastric cancer *** findings include the fact that D3 lymphadenectomy does not improve survival rates when compared to D2 lymphadenectomy,and it is not recommended for resectable gastric ***,a transhiatal approach is recommended,instead of the left thoraco-abdominal approach,for the treatment of adenocarcinoma of the esophago-gastric junction or gastric cardia which has invaded≤3 cm of the *** with splenectomy and bursectomy had been recommended as a part of the D2 ***,the results of the recent clinical trials revealed that splenectomy should be avoided in total gastrectomy with D2 lymphadenectomy for proximal gastric cancer and that bursectomy should be avoided in gastrectomy with D2 lymphadenectomy for resectable gastric *** splenectomy and bursec-tomy were found to be unable to improve survival,but instead increased operative *** trials revealed that the above-mentioned invasive and aggressive procedures did not provide sufficient survival benefits and that gastric cancer surgery may be trending from an“invasive to less invasive”and“aggressive to more conservative”approach.

We conducted a near-infrared imaging survey of 11 young dwarfs in the Pleiades cluster using the Subaru Telescope and the near-infrared coronagraph imager. We found ten faint point sources,with magnitudes as faint as 20 mag in the k-band,with around seven *** with the Spitzer archive images revealed that a pair of the faint sources around V 1171 Tau is very red in infrared wavelengths,which indicates very low-mass young stellar ***,the results of our follow-up proper motion measurements implied that the central star and the faint sources do not share common proper motions,suggesting that they are not physically associated.

Green building practices benefit many users because it imposes less of a burden both on people and the environment and plays a central role in achieving a sustainable lifestyle. Covering rooftops with tall evergreen trees increases evaporation and reduces energy consumption by heating and air conditioning systems. Japan has a cereal-crop culinary culture and rice cultivation is a primary activity. According to the Biophilia Hypothesis exposure to a lush greenery environment conducive to survival facilitates more effective relaxation and recovery from fatigue than simple elimination of stress. The impact of rice paddies is not only about reduction of energy consumption, but also about mitigating the urban environment and its physiological and psychological effects on the human body. Focusing on the spread of the rice canopy and exposure of water surfaces, clarified the reaction of the human body to thermal sensory perception and outdoor thermal environments, and the correlation between them. Rice fields where the rice canopy was smaller, and where ample standing water surfaces received short wavelength solar radiation, have a high heat capacity, which works to increase the longwave length thermal radiation in the time period when the accumulated amount of short wavelength solar radiation increases. Meanwhile, where the spread of the rice canopy was greater, and the surface of the standing irrigation water covered with rice plants, a mitigation effect on the outdoor thermal environment evaluation index of ETFe (enhanced conduction-corrected modified effective temperature) through reduction of long wavelength thermal radiation came into play, and it became clear that thermal sensory perception improved through visual stimuli that engendered images of humidity. Dwarf, late-heading (DL) Napier grass is suitable for both cut-and-carry and grazing management due to sufficient yield and quality potential. This species can hardly produce viable seed, and thus vegetative propagation should be essential before winter in temperate regions of southern kyushu. The objective of this study was to determine the efficient storage methods of DL vegetative propagation. Two experiments were carried out, the first focused on indoor storage of 10-node stem sections under room or chilling (10°C) conditions and the second, on underground storage of ten-node and one-node stem sections at 10 cm, 25 cm or 40 cm depth. After both storages, both of ten-node stem sections, cut into single nodes, and one-node stem sections were transplanted into the soil and counted for the emergence every month in 3 months of planting. In indoor-storage, while storage temperature hardly affected the emergence (P > 0.05), storage period significantly reduced the emergence percentage. In underground storage, while one-node storage achieved constantly 60% emergence, ten-node storage achieved a higher emergence at 80% under 25-cm and 40-cm depths. The results of the study suggest that underground storage of longer stem sections at 25 cm depth could be applied to practical vegetative propagation in the region.

日本临床肿瘤组最近进行了一项大规模临床试验,结果揭示了可切除的胃癌手术治疗的关键策略。研究发现:与D2淋巴结清扫术相比,D3淋巴结清扫术不能提高生存率,且不推荐用于可切除的胃癌。此外,对于侵犯食管≤3 cm的食管–胃交界处或胃贲门腺癌的治疗,建议采用经食管裂孔入路,而非左胸腹入路。过去建议将胃切除伴脾切除术和网膜囊切除术作为D2淋巴结清扫术的一部分。然而,最近的临床试验结果显示,对于近端胃癌,伴D2淋巴结清扫的全胃切除术应避免脾切除术;对于可切除的胃癌,伴D2淋巴结清扫的胃切除术应避免网膜囊切除。脾切除术和网膜囊切除术均不能提高生存率,反而增加手术并发症。这些试验结果表明,上述侵入性和激进性手术未能使患者得到生存获益,胃癌手术可能将向"从侵入性到低侵入性"和"从激进到较保守"的趋势发展。
