Seismic attribute and well-log analysis for channel characterization in the upper San Andres and Grayburg formations of the Midland Basin,Texas

The permian Basin is one of the most prolific,and currently one of the most active,oil and gas basins in the *** Lower permian strata in the permian Basin have produced more than 14 billion barrels of oil(BBO),making it the largest volume of hydrocarbon in the *** in the Midland Basin during late Leonardian through early Guadalupian(ca.272-269 Ma)resulted in progradation of shelf edge and ultimately closure of the basin by Middle permian *** analyzed a merged seismic survey covering parts of the permian Basin(i.e.,central Basin platform and Midland Basin)in Andrews,Ector,and Midland counties,*** seismic survey and well logs show the presence of gently dipping(ca.1°)clinoforms in the Upper San Andres and Grayburg Formations on the eastern edge of the central Basin platform and western Midland *** seismic attributes,curvature,and spectral decomposition identify low sinuosity slope channels oriented north-south,but such channels do not appear beyond the *** shelf edge shifts from north to south during deposition of the Upper San Andres and Grayburg *** identify five basinward shifts noted by the migration of the shelf edge toward the basin center and the presence of channel features along the depositional *** petrophysical analysis indicates that channels cut into carbonate rocks and are filled by siliciclastic sediments;this interpretation is supported by the most negative curvature anomalies along the channel axes caused by the differential compaction between the carbonate and siliciclastic *** are a few channels with a northwest-southeast strike,which matches the direction of the concho Lineament observed by satellite *** observations are consistent with previous interpretations of the northern Midland Basin closure during Middle-Late permian time.

Effect of porosity on the Mechanical properties and Wear performance of 2% copper Reinforced Sintered Steel Used in Shock Absorber piston production

powder metallurgy （p/M） method has mainly been used to produce automobile parts such as self-lubrication beds, shock absorber parts, and gear wheels. In order to investigate the effect of porosity on the mechanical and tribological properties in sintered steel, specimens with 10%, 15%, and 20% porosity were produced in a 10 mm×10 mm×55 mm prismatic shape by pre-alloying powders of the MpIF Fe-c-0.205 alloy used in the production of shock absorber pistons. Sintering was carried out at 900℃ for 45 min in an argon atmosphere. Tensile, charpy, and microhardness tests were performed on these specimens. In addition, the wear performance of a 2% cu reinforced sintered steel alloy under dry sliding conditions was determined. Metallographic studies such as pore formation, worn surface, and fractured surface analyses were performed by scanning electron microscopy and optical microscopy. The results indicate that irregular pore formation tendencies increase with an increase in porosity （%）. Furthermore, an increase in porosity was shown to decrease the mechanical properties and increase the wear trace area and the friction coefficient of sintered steel.

Water quality and sediment contamination assessment of pazarsuyu Stream, Turkey using multivariate statistical methods and pollution indicators

The spatio-temporal variations of surface water quality and the level of metal contamination in the sediment of pazarsuyu Stream were determined by using multivariate statistical techniques and pollution indicators,*** water and sediment samples were collected monthly from four different stations along the pazarsuyu Stream between June 2014 and May 2015 and analyzed using standard *** were assessed according to national and international water quality criteria and the water quality parameters in some stations were found to be over these criteria *** present study showed that statistical techniques such as pearson correlation Index (pcI),principal component Analysis (pcA),cluster Analysis (cA),One Way ANOVA need to be used to get better information for the studies on the water quality of surface *** identified six factors accounting for 82.88% of the total variation in the *** abundance of sediment heavy metals was in the order of Fe > Mn > Zn > pb > cu> cr > co > *** heavy metal contamination in the sediments was evaluated by applying the enrichment factor (EF),contamination factor (cF),geoaccumulation index (lgeo) and potential ecological risk index (pERI).pb was heavily contaminated and has a significant enrichment of contamination according to calculated EF ***,the stream water can be used for irrigation with precaution but extensive treatment required before using for domestic purposes to prevent adverse public health effects.

Meshless Method with Domain Decomposition for Submerged porous Breakwaters in Waves

Investigation of the ^(121)Sb(α,γ)^(125)I reaction cross-section calculations at astrophysical energies

Role of public space design on the perception of historical environment:A pilot study in Amasya

The experience,perception,awareness,and appreciation of the environment created by public spaces are important elements of urban *** this context,a strong link exists between perception,public spaces,and historical *** is one of the multilayered historical cities in ***’s holistic urban texture,close relationship with the river,and public spaces are associated with both the Iris River and the historical *** pilot study examines the yalıboyu promenade,a contemporary open public space designed along the river and across the historical texture in Amasya in Turkey to reveal how it affects people’s perception of the historical *** study uses the mixed method approach,which includes qualitative and quantitative *** the theoretical discussion,the study investigates the context of the *** survey results revealed how the firsttime visitors had perceived the historical texture of the promenade based on Rapoport’s method of using environmental *** results were interpreted by jointly evaluating qualitative and survey ***,although some aspects need improvement,the promenade solidifies the perception of the historical ***,when the public space is integrated with the historical environment and public life,it offers multidimensional contributions that cannot be ***,examining the promenade from perceptual aspects and offering a design approach to promote integration with the historical environment may help to establish a precedent case for future initiatives.
