Chaotic Aquila Optimization Algorithm for Solving Phase Equilibrium Problems and Parameter Estimation of Semi-empirical Models

This research study aims to enhance the optimization performance of a newly emerged Aquila Optimization algorithm by incorporating chaotic sequences rather than using uniformly generated Gaussian random *** work employs 25 different chaotic maps under the framework of Aquila *** considers the ten best chaotic variants for performance evaluation on multidimensional test functions composed of unimodal and multimodal problems,which have yet to be studied in past literature *** was found that Ikeda chaotic map enhanced Aquila Optimization algorithm yields the best predictions and becomes the leading method in most of the *** test the effectivity of this chaotic variant on real-world optimization problems,it is employed on two constrained engineering design problems,and its effectiveness has been ***,phase equilibrium and semi-empirical parameter estimation problems have been solved by the proposed method,and respective solutions have been compared with those obtained from state-of-art *** is observed that CH01 can successfully cope with the restrictive nonlinearities and nonconvexities of parameter estimation and phase equilibrium problems,showing the capabilities of yielding minimum prediction error values of no more than 0.05 compared to the remaining algorithms utilized in the performance benchmarking process.

Tuning the optoelectronic properties for small organic compounds as organic solar cell applications

Recently,organic solar cells have attracted the attention of many researchers owing to flexibility,low cost,light weight and large-area applications,and significant improvement in the power conversion efficiency(PCE).In this work,we designed chains from organic compounds as donors and replaced the core unit in each series with a variety of acceptors in order to enhance their optical and electronic characterization and performance for power conversion efficiencies in organic solar *** utilized density functional theory(DFT)and time-dependent density functional theory(TD-DFT)to investigate the geometry optimization by using the Gaussian 09 *** electronic and optical properties were determined,which involve the lowest unoccupied molecular orbital(LUMO)and the highest occupied molecular orbital(HOMO)levels,the band gap energy,maximum absorption wavelength(λ_(max)),open circuit voltage(V_(oc)),and light harvesting efficiency(LHE).Our evaluation denotes that the small compounds suggested are predicted to exhibit the best performance compared to the first series(SC1),like a lower band gap energy,a lower HOMO energy level,a greater absorption range,and a larger PCE.

In this editorial,we comment on the article entitled“Advances and key focus areas in gastric cancer immunotherapy:A comprehensive scientometric and clinical trial review(1999-2023),”which was published in the recent issue of the World Journal of *** focused on the results of the authors’bibliometric analysis concerning gastric cancer immunotherapy,which they analyzed in depth by compiling the relevant publications of the last 20 *** that,we briefly describe the most recent data concerning the epidemiological parameters of gastric cancer(GC)in different countries,attempting to give an interpretation based on the etiological factors involved in the etiopathogenesis of the *** then briefly discuss the conservative treatment(chemotherapy)of the various forms of this malignant *** describe the treatment of resectable tumors,locally advanced neoplasms,and unresectable(advanced)*** attention is given to modern therapeutic approaches with emphasis on immunotherapy,which seems to be the future of GC treatment,especially in combination with *** is also a thorough analysis of the results of the study under review in terms of the number of scientific publications,the countries in which the studies were conducted,the authors,and the scientific centers of origin,as well as the clinical studies in ***,an attempt is made to draw some conclusions and to point out possible future directions.

Photometric Studies of EV Cnc and AH Cnc in the Open Cluster M67

Contact binaries at various stages of evolution unveil various operating mechanisms that drive *** report the photometric and period variation analysis of two contact binaries EV Cnc and AH Cnc in open cluster *** observed the cluster from the JCBT 1.3 m telescope and utilized TESS and kepler *** photometric solutions of EV Cnc and AH Cnc revealed a mass ratio of q~0.41 and~0.15 with an inclination of i=42°and87°*** solutions suggest that EV Cnc is probably a semi-detached and AH Cnc is a deep low-mass ratio contact *** study of O-C variation analysis indicates that for both systems,the period is increasing which suggests the mass transfer is occurring from secondary to *** the case of AH Cnc and based on simulations by randomly varying the time of minima to fit the LITE solution,we noted the third body orbital period to be around P_(3)=26.82±2.54 yr,which is different from earlier reported values and conclude that future observations are required to confirm this *** compare these two systems with other similar contact binaries to get an estimate of the final configuration of the respective systems.

LiDAR-based estimation of bounding box coordinates using Gaussian process regression and particle swarm optimization

Camera-based object tracking systems in a given closed environment lack privacy and *** this study,light detection and ranging(LiDAR)was applied to track objects similar to the camera tracking in a closed environment,guaranteeing privacy and *** primary objective was to demonstrate the efficacy of the proposed technique through carefully designed experiments conducted using two *** Scenario I,the study illustrates the capability of the proposed technique to detect the locations of multiple objects positioned on a flat surface,achieved by analyzing LiDAR data collected from several locations within the closed *** II demonstrates the effectiveness of the proposed technique in detecting multiple objects using LiDAR data obtained from a single,fixed ***-time experiments are conducted with human subjects navigating predefined *** individuals move within an environment,while LiDAR,fixed at the center,dynamically tracks and identifies their locations at multiple *** demonstrate that a single,strategically positioned LiDAR can adeptly detect objects in motion around ***,this study provides a comparison of various regression techniques for predicting bounding box *** process regression(GPR),combined with particle swarm optimization(PSO)for prediction,achieves the lowest prediction mean square error of all the regression techniques examined at *** tuning of GPR using PSO significantly minimizes the regression *** of the experiment pave the way for its extension to various real-time applications such as crowd management in malls,surveillance systems,and various Internet of Things scenarios.

Investigation of Microstructure, Microhardness and Thermal Properties of Ag-In Intermetallic Alloys Prepared by Vacuum Arc Meltings

Ag-In intermetallic alloys were produced by using vacuum arc furnace. Differential Scanning Calorimetry(DSC) and Energy Dispersive X-Ray Spectrometry(EDX) were used to determine the thermal properties and chemical composition of the phases respectively. Microhardness values of Ag-In intermetallics were calculated with Vickers hardness measurement method. According to the experimental results, Ag-34 wt%In intermetallic system generated the best results of energy saving and storage compared to other intermetallic systems. Also from the microhardness results, it was observed that intermetallic alloys were harder than pure silver and Ag-26 wt%In system had the highest microhardness value with 143.45 kg/mm^(2).
