Assessing suitability of Andrographis paniculata genotypes for rain-fed conditions in semi-arid climates

Medicinal plants are generally suggested for degraded land or areas having low *** paniculata is an important medicinal plant known for its diterpene lactone *** exposed 26 genotypes of *** to rain-fed condition during early-season rain-fed(ESRF)and mid-season rain-fed(MSRF)conditions and compared with the control to assess their suitability in semi-arid climate region of Gujarat,*** study was performed during two consecutive years 2016–2017 in split plot design with rain-fed conditions as main-plot treatment and genotypes as sub-plot treatment in three *** gaseous exchange parameters taken at 85100 days after transplanting exhibited mean photosynthesis rate was 20.5 lmol CO_(2) m^(-2)s^(-1) ranging between 15.9 lmol CO_(2) m^(-2)s^(-1) and 24.0 lmol CO_(2) m^(-2)s^(-1).Exceeding 7%decrease in stomatal conductance was recorded compared to the control plants under imposed rain-fed *** mean value of transpiration rate was 4.8 mmol H2O m^(-2)s^(-1).The mean value of water use efficiency was *** condition decreased leaf water potential from-0.517 to-1.189 *** dry herbage decreased by 29.2%due to MSRF condition as compared the *** andrographolide yield per plant suffered significantly and under ESRF condition it reduced mainly due to reduction in andrographolide *** andrographolide yield per plant in MSRF condition was mainly due to reduction in herbage *** revealed that ESRF and MSRF condition characterized by erratic rainfall pattern and dry spell is not beneficial for quality production in *** on the least decrease in andrographolide,yield two genotypes viz.,AP 6 and AP 12 identified to be suitable for ESRF condition and two genotypes viz.,AP 19 and AP 6 suitable for MSRF ***,four genotypes,AP 35,AP 39,AP 61 and AP 24 were suitable as the promising genotypes having high andrographolide yield.

Role of Ag microalloying on glass forming ability and crystallization kinetics of ZrCoAgAlNi amorphous alloy

Bulk metallic glasses(BMGs) with new chemical compositions(ZrCoAgAlNi) were fabricated and the effects of Ag minor addition on the glass forming ability(GFA) and crystallization kinetics were studied. The x-ray diffraction(XRD) test was applied to identify the amorphousness of BMGs or possible crystalline phases. Using differential scanning calorimeter(DSC), the thermal stability and crystallization kinetics under a non-isothermal condition at the different heating rates were studied. Considering the heating rate dependency of glass transition and crystallization kinetics, the activation energy was evaluated and measured for the mentioned processes. It was revealed that the rise in Ag content led to the decrease in activation energy for glass transition, while the activation energy for crystallization increased. The thermal stability and GFA were also studied and it was found that the Ag addition strongly affected the inherent features of BMGs. With the increase in Ag content, the atomic mobility and structural rearrangement changed in the material and consequently, the GFA and thermal stability were significantly improved.

Comparative analysis of entanglement measures based on monogamy inequality

We evaluate the monogamy inequality for symmetric, non-symmetric pure states of importance in terms of squared concurrence, squared entanglement of formation, squared negativity of partial transpose and compare the corresponding tangles. We show that though concurrence and concurrence tangle are zero for two special classes of mixed entangled states, both negativity tangle and entanglement of formation（EOF） tangle turn out to be non-zero. A comparison of different tangles is carried out in each case and it is shown that while the concurrence tangle captures the genuine multiqubit entanglement in N-qubit pure states with N distinct spinors（containing GHZ and superposition of W-, obverse W states）either negativity tangle or EOF tangle is to be used as a better measure of entanglement in the W-class of states with two distinct spinors and in the special classes of mixed multiqubit states.

Dust Deposition’s Effect on Solar Photovoltaic Module Performance:An Experimental Study in India’s Tropical Region

Monogamous nature of symmetric N-qubit states of the W class: Concurrence and negativity tangle

Using Majorana representation of symmetric N-qubit pure states, we have examined the monogamous nature of the family of states with two-distinct spinors, the W class of states. We have evaluated the N-concurrence tangle and showed that all the states in this family have vanishing concurrence tangle. The negativity tangle for the W class of states is shown to be non-zero, illustrating the fact that the concurrence tangle is always lesser than or equal to the negativity tangle in a pure N-qubit state.

In this article, we consider a two level supply chain to evaluate the impact ofpostponement strategy on the retailer. Here the cost parameters are *** distance method is used to defuzzify and to obtain the estimation of thetotal cost in the fuzzy sense. The common variable production cost, commonfixed cost and the common unit holding cost per unit time are assumed to befuzzy in nature. Inventory models are formulated for postponement system andindependent system such that the total average inventory cost function per unittime is minimized. Algorithms are given to derive the optimal solutions of theproposed model. Theoretical analysis and the computational procedure helps tostudy the impact of deterioration rate on the optimal inventory policies. Acomparative study between the postponement system and independent systemconsidering fuzzy costs is also made.

Standalone systems cannot handle the giant traffic loads generated by Twitter due to memory constraints.A parallel computational environment pro-vided by Apache Hadoop can distribute and process the data over different desti-nation *** this paper,the Hadoop cluster with four nodes integrated with RHadoop,Flume,and Hive is created to analyze the tweets gathered from the Twitter *** stream data is collected relevant to an event/topic like IPL-2015,cricket,Royal Challengers Bangalore,kohli,Modi,from May 24 to 30,2016 using *** is used as a data warehouse to store the streamed *** analytics like maximum number of tweets by users,the average number of followers,and maximum number of friends are obtained using *** network graph is constructed with the user’s unique screen name and men-tions using‘R’.A timeline graph of individual users is generated using‘R’.Also,the proposed solution analyses the emotions of cricket fans by classifying their Twitter messages into appropriate emotional categories using the optimized sup-port vector neural network(OSVNN)classification *** attain better classi-fication accuracy,the performance of SVNN is enhanced using a chimp optimization algorithm(ChOA).Extracting the users’emotions toward an event is beneficial for prediction,but when coupled with visualizations,it becomes more ***-chart and wordcloud are generated to visualize the emotional analysis results.

Comparison of TiAlN, AlCrN, and AlCrN/TiAlN coatings for cutting-tool applications

Monolayer and bilayer coatings of TiAlN, AlCrN, and AlCrN/TiAlN were deposited onto tungsten carbide inserts using the plasma enhanced physical vapor deposition process. The microstructures of the coatings were characterized using scanning electron microscopy （SEM） and atomic force microscopy （AFM）. The SEM micrographs revealed that the AlrN and AlCrN/TiAlN coatings were uniform and highly dense and contained only a limited number of microvoids. The TiAIN coating was non-uniform and highly porous and contained more micro droplets. The hardness and scratch resistance of the specimens were measured using a nanoindentation tester and scratch tester, respectively. Different phases formed in the coatings were analyzed by X-ray diffraction （XRD）. The AlCrN/TiAlN coating exhibited a higher hardness （32.75 GPa）, a higher Young＇s modulus （561.97 GPa）, and superior scratch resistance （LcN = 46 N） compared to conventional coatings such as TiAlN, A1CrN, and TiN.
