Variational Approach to 2D and 3D Heat Conduction Modeling

The paper proposes an approximate solution to the classical (parabolic) multidimensional 2D and 3D heat conduction equation for a 5 × 5 cm aluminium plate and a 5 × 5 × 5 cm aluminum cube. An approximate solution of the generalized (hyperbolic) 2D and 3D equation for the considered plate and cube is also proposed. Approximate solutions were obtained by applying calculus of variations and Euler-Lagrange equations. In order to verify the correctness of the proposed approximate solutions, they were compared with the exact solutions of parabolic and hyperbolic equations. The paper also presents the research on the influence of time parameters τ as well as the relaxation times τ ∗ to the variation of the profile of the temperature field for the considered aluminum plate and cube.

Nowadays,researchers are becoming increasingly concerned about developing a highly efﬁcient emission free transportation and energy generation system for addressing the pressing issue of environmental crisis in the form of pollution and climate *** introduction of Electric Vehicles(EVs)solves the challenge of emission-free transportation while the necessity for decarbonized energy production is fulﬁlled by the installation and expansion of solar-powered Photovoltaic(PV)***,this paper focuses on designing an effective PV based EV charging system that aids in stepping towards the achievement of a pollution free *** overcoming the inherent intermittency associated with PV,a novel DC-DC converter is designed by integrating both Trans Z-source con-verter and Luo converter,which offers remark.ble beneﬁts of high conversion range,lesser voltage stress and excellent efﬁciency.A novel robust Lion Grey Wolf Optimized Proportional Integral(LGWO-PI)controller is designed for sig-niﬁcantly strengthening the operation of the integrated converter in terms of peak.overshoot,Total Harmonic Distortion(THD)and settling time.A 3’Voltage source Inverter(VsI)is employed to convert the stable DC output from the PV sys-tem to AC,which is then used for driving the Brushless Direct Current Motor(BLDC)motor of *** speed of the BLDC is regulated using a PI *** BLDC motor gets the power supply from the grid during the unavailability of PV based power *** grid is integrated with the designed EV charging system through a 1’VsI and the process of grid voltage synchronization is carried out with the application of PI *** simulation for evaluating the operation of the presented EV charging system is done using MATLAB and the attained out-comes have validated that this introduced methodology delivers enhanced perfor-mance with optimal efﬁciency of 97.6%and lesser THD of 2.1%.

Cryptotanshinone ameliorates cladribine-induced cognitive impairment in rats

Objective:To evaluate the neuroprotective effect of cryptotanshinone against cladribine-induced cognitive impairment in ***:Rats were administered with cladribine(1 mg/k.,p.o.)and cryptotanshinone(10 and 20 mg/k.,i.p.)for four *** tests such as Morris water maze and elevated plus maze were conducted to check.memory impairment caused by *** day 29,all rats were sacrificed,and the brains were separated for estimation of neuroinflammatory factors,biochemical parameters,neurotransmitters,Aβ(1-42),blood-brain barrier permeability,nuclear factor erythroid 2-related factor 2(Nrf2),and brain-derived neurotrophic factor(BDNF).Results:Treatment with cryptotanshinone dose-dependently enhanced spatial memory,improved the levels of neurotransmitter and antioxidant enzymes,and suppressed proinflammatory cytok.ne *** also decreased Aβ(1-42)accumulation and increased the levels of Nrf2 and BDNF in the ***,the histopathological results showed that cryptotanshinone reduced cladribine-induced neuronal death in the ***:Cryptotanshinone exhibits a promising neuroprotective effect against cladribine-induced cognitive impairment in preclinical studies,and may be a potential phytochemical for the treatment and management of cognitive impairment.

AIM： Chronic organ-donor shortage has led to the acceptance of steatotic livers for transplantation, despite the higher risk.of graft dysfunction or nonfunction associated with the ischemic preservation period of these organs. The present study evaluates the effects of trimetazidine （TMZ） on an isolated perfused liver model. METHODs： steatotic and non-steatotic livers were preserved for 24 h in the University of Wisconsin （UW） solution with or without TMZ. Hepatic injury and function （transaminases, bile production and sulfobromophthalein （BsP） clearance） and factors potentially involved in the susceptibility of steatotic livers to ischemia-reperfusion （I/R） injury, including oxidative stress, mitochondrial damage, microcirculatory diseases, and ATP depletion were evaluated. REsULTs： steatotic livers preserved in UW solution showed higher transaminase levels, lower bile production and BsP clearance compared with non-steatotic livers. Alterations in perfusion flow rate and vascular resistance, mitochondrial damage, and reduced ATP content were more evident in steatotic livers. TMZ addition to UW solution reduced hepatic injury and ameliorated hepatic functionality in both types of the liver and protected against the mechanisms potentially responsible for the poor tolerance of steatotic livers to I/R. CONCLUsION： TMZ may constitute a useful approach in fatty liver surgery, limiting the inherent risk.of steatotic liver failure following transplantation.

Micro-encapsulation of shrimp oil using the mixture of whey protein concentrate(WPC)and sodium caseinate(sC)(1:1,w/w)as a wall material was carried *** impact of core/wall material ratios(1:2 and 1:4,w/w)and homogenizing pressures(13.79 and 27.58 MPa)on characteristics and stability of emulsion was *** size of emulsion oil droplets decreased with increasing homogenizing pressure(Ps not influenced by core/wall material ratio(P>0.05).During the extended storage,particle size,flocculation factor(Ff)and coalescence index(Ci)of all emulsions sharply increased,especially in emulsions prepared at 13.79 MPa with a core/wall material ratio of 1:2(Pspray drying,micro-encapsulated shrimp oil(MsO)prepared at 13.79 MPa with a core/wall material ratio of 1:2 had the larger size than others(PsO prepared using a core/wall material ratio of 1:4 with homogenizing pressure of 27.58 MPa exhibited higher encapsulation efficiency(EE)(51.3%–52.8%)than ***,both core/wall material ratio and homogenizing pressure directly affected micro-encapsulation of shrimp oil.

An Evaluation of Inter-Fractional set-Up Errors in Patients Treated with Distinct Immobilization Equipment for Varying Anatomical Regions

This study aims to evaluate inter-fractional set-up errors in patients treated with distinct immobilization equipment (thermoplastic mask. k.ee-fix and feet-fix, wing board and vac-lok. for four anatomical regions including brain, head and neck.(HN), thorax and pelvis. Data of randomly selected 140 patients who were treated for four anatomical regions were obtained using Hi-Art Helical Tomotherapy (HT) system. Pre-treatment planning was based on automatic registration readings of computed tomography (CT) and mega-voltage computed tomography (MVCT) on a daily basis. Distinct immobilization equipment was used for varying anatomical regions. Individual mean set-up error (M), systematic error (Σ), and random error (σ) values were calculated through daily translational and rotational deviation values. The size of translational, systematic and random error was 1.31 - 4.93 mm for brain, 2.28 - 4.88 mm for HN, 4.04 - 9.90 mm for thorax, and 6.34 - 14.68 mm for pelvis. Rotational values were as follows: 0.06° - 0.73° for brain, 0.42° - 0.6° for HN, 0.48° - 1.14° for thorax and 0.65° - 1.05° for pelvis. The highest translational, systematic and random error value was obtained from the pelvic regional. The highest standard and random error value in pitch and roll was produced in the rotational direction of the pelvis (0.05° and 0.71°), while the highest error value in yaw was (1.14°) produced from thorax. Inter-fractional set-up errors were most commonly produced in the pelvis, followed by thorax. Our study results suggest that the highest systematic and random errors are found for thorax and pelvis. Distinct immobilization equipment was important in these results. safety margins around the clinical target volume (CTV) are changeable for different anatomical regions. A future work.could be developed to new equipment for immobilization because of the reduced margins CTV.

The aim of this study was to investigate the effect of rosmarinic acid against gonadal toxicity caused by cyclophosphamide, an important anticancer drug. A total of 28 rats were divided into 4 groups, with 7 animals in each group. The groups were created as follows;Group 1 (control) (n = 7): Subjects received only 1 ml of 0.9% saline solution per day intraperitoneally for 14 days. Group 2 (Rosmarinic Acid) (n = 7): The subjects were given 20 mg/kg Rosmarinic acid intraperitoneally for 14 days. Group 3 (Cyclophosphamide) (n = 7): Only 1 ml of 0.9% saline solution was administered intraperitoneally to the subjects for the first 7 days. Cyclophosphamide 20 mg/kg per day was administered intraperitoneally for the last 7 days (from the 8sup>thsup> day). Group 4 (Rosmarinic Acid + Cyclophosphamide) (n = 7): The subjects were given 20 mg/kg Rosmarinic acid daily intraperitoneally for 14 days. From the 8sup>thsup> day of the experiment to the end of the experiment (last 7 days of the experiment), 20 mg/k. cyclophosphamide was given intraperitoneally daily. At the end of the experiment, body weights of all rats were measured first. Afterwards, the weights of testicular tissue samples were measured and the averages of the weights were tak.n. Routine tissue follows up was performed on the testicular tissues tak.n. Hematoxylin-eosin staining was applied to tissue sections of 5 μm thick.ess. As a result of the statistical analysis, it was determined that cyclophosmadine decreased body and testicular weight, but rosmarinic acid had a protective effect on the contrary.
