This paper presents a method of the formation of composite polymer-containing coatings on a mg–mn–Ce magnesium alloy by forming a ceramic-lik. layer using plasma electrolytic oxidation(PEO)and subsequent spraying superdispersed polytetrafluoroethylene *** coating composition and their morphological features were studied by SEm,EDS,GDOES,and *** presented da.a.confirm the embedding of fluoropolymer in the PEO *** evaluation of the corrosion properties of the formed composite polymer-containing coatings indicates a decrease in the corrosion current density by more than 3 orders of magnitude in comparison with the base PEO *** incorporation of a fluoropolymer in a PEO layer by more than 32%increases the load value at which abrasion of the coating to the substrate occurs and reduces the wear of the coating by more than 27 fold in comparison with the PEO *** has been established that composite coatings possess hydrophobic properties:the value of the contact angle attains 152°.

Orbital angular momentum(OAm)is a phenomenon of vortex phase distribution in free space,which has attracted enormous attention in theoretical research and practical application of wireless communication systems due to its cha.a.teristic of infinitely orthogonal ***,traditional methods generating OAm beams are bound to complex structure,large device,multiple layers,complex feed network.,and limited beams in microwave ***,a digital coding transmissive metasurface(DCTmS)with a single layer substrate and the bi-symmetrical arrow is proposed and designed to generate multi-OAm-beam based on Pancha.a.nam–Berry(PB)phase *** 3-bit phase response can be realized by encoding the geometric phase into rotation angle of unit cell for ***,the phase compensation of the metasurface is introduced to achieve the beam focusing and the conversion from spherical wave to plane *** to the digital convolution theorem,the far-field patterns and near-field distributions of multi-OAm-beam with l=–2 modes are adequately demonstrated by DCTmS *** OAm efficiency and the purity are calculated to demonstrate the excellent *** simulated and experimental results illustrate their performance of OAm *** designed DCTmS has profound application in multi-platform wireless communication systems and the multi-channel imaging systems.

Synthesis of cobalt single atom ca.a.yst by a solid-state transformation strategy for direct C-C cross-coupling of primary and secondary alcohols

Atomic engineering of single atom ca.a.ysts(SACs)with high-density a.a.lable active sites and optimized electronic properties can substantially boost ca.a.ytic ***,we report a solid-state transformation strategy to access Co SACs by introducing Co species from commercial CO_(2)O3 powders into nitrogen-doped carbon *** ca.a.yst exhibited excellent ca.a.ytic activity,with a turnover frequency(TOF)of 2,307 h^(-1)and yield of 95%,in the direct C-C cross-coupling of benzyl alcohol and 1-phenylethanol(1 atm O2@80℃)to yield *** functional theory(DFT)calculations demonstrate the coordination environment and electronic metal-support interaction impact the ca.a.ytic *** particular,a wide substrate scope and a broad functional-group tolerance of this SAC were validated,and the employment of this strategy for large-scale synthesis was also shown to be *** work.might shed light on the facile and sca.a.le synthesis of highly active,selective,and stable SACs for heterogeneous ca.a.ysis.

It is well-k.own that a product or a system is sustainable if it is economically viable, socially acceptable and environmentally friendly. Load bearing masonry is one such example which is quite sustainable, especially if the masonry units are locally a.a.lable. It is important to quantify the environmental benefits and cost, if an alternative to an existing technology is to be suggested. Of course the issues related to acceptance have to be discussed and addressed. This paper presents the quantification of embodied energy and cost of lime-pozzola.a.cement (LPC) geopolymer based masonry units made using locally a.a.lable bulk.ingredients viz. tank.bed soil (TBS) and brick.powder (BP). The masonry adobe units developed have achieved the target performance in terms of strength, low water absorption and relative ease of production. Simultaneously the issues related to cost are also discussed in this paper. The studies have revealed that the bulk.contributor to embodied energy and cost of geopolymer adobes are the alk.line materials viz sodium hydroxide and sodium silicate. However, the embodied energy and cost per unit strength appears to be better than that of conventional table moulded brick. in south India, especially when alk.line solution at 2m concentration is used with LPC.

Epithelial–mesenchymal transition(EmT)is involved in both physiological and pathological *** plays an essential role in the invasion,migration and metastasis of *** has been shown to regulate EmT in a variety of cancers but not in head and neck.squamous cell carcinoma(HNSCC).Herein,we investigated whether autophagy also regulates EmT in *** of clinical da.a.from three public da.a.ases revealed that higher expression of fibronectin-1(FN1)correlated with poorer prognosis and higher tumour pathological grade in *** from SCC-25 cells demonstrated that ra.a.ycin and Earle’s ba.a.ced salt solution(EBSS)promoted autophagy,leading to increased FN1 degra.a.ion,while 3-methyladenine(3-mA),bafilomycin A1(Baf A1)and chloroquine(CQ)inhibited autophagy,leading to decreased FN1 *** the other hand,autophagic flux was block.d in BECN1 mutant HNSCC Cal-27 cells,and ra.a.ycin did not promote autophagy in Cal-27 cells;also in addition,FN1 degra.a.ion was ***,we identified FN1 degra.a.ion through the lysosome-dependent degra.a.ion pathway using the proteasome inhibitor *** from immunoprecipitation assays also showed that p62/SQSTm1 participated as an autophagy a.a.ter in the autophagy–lysosome pathway of FN1 ***,da.a.from immunoprecipitation assays demonstrated that the interaction between p62 and FN1 was abolished in p62 mutant mCF-7 and A2780 cell *** results indicate that autophagy significantly promotes the degra.a.ion of ***,our findings clearly suggest that FN1,as a mark.r of EmT,has adverse effects on HNSCC and elucidate the autophagy–lysosome degra.a.ion mechanism of FN1.

structure with a significant reduction in casting porosity, while the texture changed to sharp ba.a.easured mechanical properties of the forged alloy showed that strength did not change, howductility improved by 75%. The a.a.ysis of the fracture surface of the forged alloy under tension rea ductile fracture with dimple morphology, while the as-cast alloy displayed a brittle fracture with pores. One-step controllable synthesis of vertical graphene nanosheets （VGs） and high-value gases was achieved using inductively coupled plasma enhanced chemical vapor deposition （ICPECVD）. The basic physical properties of the ICPECVD process were revealed via electrical diagnosis and optical emission spectroscopy. The coil current and voltage increased linearly with the augmenting of injected power, and CH, C2, H2 and H were detected at a wavelength from 300 to 700 nm, implying the generation of abundant graphene-building species. The morphology and structure of solid carbon products, graphene nanosheets, were systemically cha.a.terized in terms of the variations of operating conditions, such as pressure, temperature, gas proportion, etc. The results indicated that an appropriate operating condition was indispensable for the growth process of graphene nanosheets. In the present work. the optimized result was achieved at the pressure, heating temperature, applied power and gas proportion of 600 mTorr, 800 ~C, 500 W and 20：20：15, respectively, and the augmenting of both CH4 and H2 concentrations had a positive effect on the etching of amorphous carbon. Additionally, H2 and C2 hydrocarbons were detected as the main exhaust gases. The selectivity of H2 and C2H2, measured in exhaust gases, reached up to 52% and 8%, respectively, which implied a process of free radical reactions and electron collision dissociation. Based on a comprehensive investigation of spectral and electrical pa.a.eters and synthesized products, the reaction mechanism of collision, dissociation, diffusion, etc, in ICPECVD could be speculated, providing a probable guide for experimental and industrial applications.

The magnetic and structural properties of FINEmET alloy with a composition of ***1Nb1Si13.5B9 were investigated after primary and secondary crystallization of amorphous ribbon sample. The crystallization behavior and the nanocrystal formation of the samples were performed by differential thermal a.a.ysis （DTA） which in turn was supported by X-ray diffraction （XRD） study. Temperature dependence of initial permeability of amorphous and devitrified toroid shaped samples has been measured. Enhancement of Curie temperature of the amorphous alloy has been observed due to the irreversible structural rela.a.ion. With the appea.a.ce of nanocrystalline phase the Curie temperature of the residual amorphous phase gradually decrease with the increase of annealing temperature. Their temperature dependence reflects the cha.a.teristic annealing temperature evolution of the basic magnetic pa.a.eters in these nanocrystalline systems. Saturation magnetization, ms, increases with annealing temperature Ta for the samples and finally decreases during annealing at a temperature much higher than peak.crystallization temperature.

Dopamine transporter (DAT) mediates the regulation of dopaminergic function. Two agents of TRODAT-1 and FP-CIT were observed in evaluating DAT change of Park.nson's disease (PD). The relationship between them was also evaluated. The results suggested that 99mTc-TRODAT-1 SPECT and 131I-FP-CIT SPECT may serve as sensitive and objective in vivo mark.rs to reflect the severity of PD. The 99mTc-TRODAT-1 image is more accurate and clearer compared with 131I-FP-CIT.

The Global Influenza Surveillance Network.is crucial for monitoring epidemic risk.in participating countries. However, at present, the network.has notable gaps in the developing world, principally in Africa.a.d Asia where laboratory ca.a.ilities are limited. moreover, for the last few years, various influenza viruses have been continuously emerging in the resource-limited countries, mak.ng these surveillance gaps a more imminent *** present a spatial-transmission model to estimate epidemic risk. in the countries where only partial or even no surveillance da.a.are a.a.lable. motivated by the observation that countries in the same influenza transmission zone divided by the World Health Organization had similar transmission patterns, we propose to estimate the influenza epidemic risk.of an unmonitored country by incorporating the surveillance da.a.reported by countries of the same transmission zone. Experiments show that the risk.estimates are highly correlated with the actual influenza morbidity trends for African and Asian countries. The proposed method may provide the much-needed ca.a.ility to detect, assess, and notify potential influenza epidemics to the developing world.
