To address current challenges regarding sustainable development of wastewater treatment and provide scientific support in decision procedures towards sustainable solutions, new approaches, framework. and methodologies about different possible solutions and their potential sustainability implications are needed. One way to facilitate sustainability assessment of wastewater is Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) methodology;however, it fails to map the full scope of wastewater impacts. This paper presents a framework.to evaluate the performance of Wastewater Treatment Facilities (WWTF) tak.ng into consideration various factors for insuring environmental sustainability. A total of nine indicators, seven environmental and two economic related to four wastewater treatment facilities, were assessed. Apart from evaluating the sustainability, this study also discussed the link.of life cycle approach and social aspects of wastewater. The results show that for the environmental dimension using LCA provides information on different types of environmental activities and different impact categories. LCA can thus be used to quantify and compare the multiple types of impacts caused by one type of use or emission, as well as the various resource uses or emissions that contribute to one type of impacts. For the economic dimension, there is still a need for consistent and robust indicators and methods. The empirical results suggest that the environmental sustainability framework.can be used in the first phase of the decision procedure that leads to a strategic choice for sustainable resource recovery from wastewater in developing countries. This motives researchers and decision-mak.rs to consider the whole picture, and not just individual aspects, when considering different futures scenarios.

Biological mark.rs that evaluate physical healing as well as psychological impact of a burn are essential for effective treatment of paediatric *** objective of this review is to summarize the evidence supporting the use of biomark.rs in children with *** extensive review of the literature was performed using Pubmed.A total of 59 biomark.rs were identified relating to burn presence,specifically relating to processes involved in inflammation,wound healing,growth and *** addition,biomark.rs involved in the stress response cascade following a burn trauma were also *** many biomark.rs have been identified that are potentially associated with burn-related physical and psychological trauma,an understanding of burn biology is still lack.ng in *** propose that future research in the field of children’s burns should be conducted using broad screening methods for identifying potential biomark.rs,examine the biological interactions of different biomark.rs,utilize child-appropriate biological fluids such as urine or saliva,and include a range of different severity *** further research,the biological response to burn injury may be fully realized and clinically relevant diagnostic tests and treatment therapies utilizing these biomark.rs could be developed,for the improvement of healing outcomes in paediatric burn patients.

Back.round: Hemorrhoidal disease is most frequently encountered in proctology affection;it is defined by signs or symptoms attributed to hemorrhoids. Its pathogenesis is based on old theories and vascular mechanical which are nevertheless based on the current therapeutic approach. General Aim of the Study: To study haemorrhoids’ pathology in order to improve its management. methodology: A retrospective cross-sectional study was conducted over a period of two (2) years from 1 January 2012 to 31 December 2013. Data were collected from outpatients records in hepato-gastroenterology and digestive surgery services at “Polyclinique Notre Dame de la Paix” in Ouagadougou (2294 files). Results: 140 cases of haemorrhoids were recorded during our study period. The frequency was 6.1% of consultations. males predominated with 75.71% of patients (sex ratio = 3.12). The average age was 39.58 years. Civil servants were most affected by this disease (60%). Rectal bleeding was the most common reason of consultation (52.14%). The crown shape was predominated (59%). The frequency of external haemorrhoids was the highest (65.71%) and stage 4 (40.79%) was the most represented. Anal fissure was the proctologic pathology, the most associated to haemorrhoids (17.14%). medical treatment concerned 89.28% of patients with 69.6% of favorable short-term evolution. No instrumental treatment was performed. Surgical treatment consisted of 10.71% of patients and the technique used was the milligan-morgan performed under spinal anesthesia. The postoperative complications were mainly represented by anal intense pain and acute urinary retention. The healing period of wounds was on average 6 week.. Conclusion: The hemorrhoid has often underestimated in our regions. The instrumental treatment is nonexistent and should tak. an important place;it must be an indication before surgery.
