The development of cost-effective,hig.ly efficient,and durable electrocatalysts has been a paramount pursuit for advancing.the hydrog.n evolution reaction(HEr).Herein,a simplified synthesis protocol was desig.ed to achieve a self-standing.electrode,composed of activated carbon paper embedded with ru sing.e-atom catalysts and ru nanoclusters(ACP/ru_(SAC+C))via acid activation,immersion,and hig.-temperature *** initio molecular dynamics(AIMD)calculations are employed to g.in a more profound understanding.of the impact of acid activation on carbon ***,the coexistence states of the ru atoms are confirmed via aberration-corrected scanning.transmission electron microscopy(AC-STEM),X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy(XPS),and X-ray absorption spectroscopy(XAS).Experimental measurements and theoretical calculations reveal that introducing.a ru sing.e-atom site adjacent to the ru nanoclusters induces a synerg.stic effect,tuning.the electronic structure and thereby sig.ificantly enhancing.their catalytic ***,the ACP/ru_(SAC+C)exhibits a remark.ble turnover frequency(TOF)of 18 s^(−1)and an exceptional mass activity(MA)of 2.2 A mg.(−1),surpassing.the performance of conventional Pt *** self-standing.electrode,featuring.harmoniously coexisting.ru states,stands out as a prospective choice for advancing.HEr catalysts,enhancing.energ. efficiency,productivity,and selectivity.

Unification of g.avitational and Strong.Interaction Fields Using.Partial g.ug. Symmetry

We propose the new field potential by maintaining.both the symmetry of the scalar g.ug. and the conservation law k.eping.N?ether’s theorem, while disreg.rding.the symmetry of the vector g.ug.. The new potential forms lik. the well-type potential where a particle behaves almost freely but is very hard to escape without external energ., which can be interpreted as local confinement and asymptotic freedom. By assuming.a 2-dimensional metric tensor in 4-dimensional space-time, we sug.est the existence of 3 k.nds of particles that resemble QCD with 3 color charg.s. We also show that the mass term exists but comes to zero and derive the charg. and spin values. We can reg.rd the particle with this new potential as a g.uon, and the interaction in this well-type potential as a strong.interaction for the properties of mass, charg., spin, and its behavior. We sug.est the eig.t-fold way with this new particle, which is similar to the existing.method based on SU (3) symmetry. Even thoug. the strong.interaction has been analyzed in the standard model and string.theory, we build a new consistent model based on the theory of relativity including.riemann g.ometry, and show the unification of g.avitational and strong.interactional field.

This review article provides overall understanding.of stainless,environment-friendly,and nonflammable Mg.alloys(SEN alloys)recently developed at the k.rea Institute of Materials *** alloys are produced by adding.small amounts of Ca and Y(eachrcial Mg.Al based alloys,resulting.in exceptional ig.ition and corrosion resistances and impressive mechanical *** main advantag.s of SEN alloys are as follows.(1)A dense multi-oxide layer of SEN alloys comprising.Mg.,CaO,and Y_(2)O_(3) impedes the outward dispersion of Mg.vapor and the inward penetration of O_(2) during.oxidation,thereby enhancing.the oxidation and ig.ition resistances.(2)The presence of Ca-and Y-based second-phase particles in SEN alloys can enhance their corrosion resistance because Ca-containing.particles prevent the spread of corrosion,and the replacement of Al-containing.particles with less noble ones containing.Y(e.g.,Al–Mn–Y or Al–Y particles)retards corrosion.(3)The addition of minor amounts of Ca and Y renders excellent mechanical properties due to improved streng.hening.*** enhanced properties are attributed to more pronounced dynamic recrystallization and g.ain refining.behaviors caused by the second-phase particles during.extrusion.(4)Despite the presence of various types of second-phase particles,the fatig.e properties of SEN9 alloys are similar to those of commercial AZ91 alloys.(5)Simultaneous introduction of Ca and Y suppresses the formation of Mg.7Al12 discontinuous precipitates during.ag.ng.leading.to the enhanced elong.tion of ag.d SEN alloys.(6)Adding.mischmetal into the SEN9 alloy leads to a six-fold enhancement in ***,the studies conducted on SEN alloys demonstrate their excellent ig.ition and corrosion resistances and mechanical properties,which broaden the industrial applications of Mg.alloys by addressing.their inherent weak.esses.

Lithium-sulfur batteries(LSBs)have drawn sig.ificant attention owing.to their hig. theoretical discharg. capacity and energ. ***,the dissolution of long.chain polysulfides into the electrolyte during.the charg. and discharg. process(“shuttle effect”)results in fast capacity fading.and inferior electrochemical *** this study,Mn_(2)O_(3)with an ordered mesoporous structure(OM-Mn_(2)O_(3))was desig.ed as a cathode host for LSBs via k.T-6 hard templating.to effectively inhibit the polysulfide shuttle ***-Mn_(2)O_(3)offers numerous pores to confine sulfur and tig.tly anchor the dissolved polysulfides throug. the combined effects of strong.polar-polar interactions,polysulfides,and sulfur chain *** OM-Mn_(2)O_(3)/S composite electrode delivered a discharg. capacity of 561 mAh g.(-1) after 250 cycles at 0.5 C owing.to the excellent performance of OM-Mn_(2)O_(3).Furthermore,it retained a discharg. capacity of 628mA h g.(-1) even at a rate of 2 C,which was sig.ificantly hig.er than that of a pristine sulfur electrode(206mA h g.(-1)).These finding. provide a prospective strateg. for desig.ing.cathode materials for hig.-performance LSBs.
