In this paper, a bio-heat transfer model of temperature distribution in human eye is disc.ssed using appropriate boundary c.nditions for c.rnea and sc.era. Variational finite element method with c.ank.Nic.lson sc.eme is used to c.lc.late the transient temperature distribution in normal human eye. The temperature with and without the effec. of blood perfusion and metabolism on retina is simulated and c.mpared for various ambient temperatures, evaporation rates and lens thermal c.nduc.ivities. The obtained results are c.mpared with experimental results and past results found in literatures. The results show that the steady state c.rneal temperature is ac.ieved in around 31 and 45 minute of exposure at ambient temperatures 10℃ and 50℃ respec.ively. Steady state eye temperature is ac.ieved earlier at higher evaporation rate. Similar result is ac.ieved for higher lens thermal c.nduc.ivity and also for lower ambient temperature.

A new alk.li metallo-organic.single c.ystal of Lithium Sodium Ac.d Phthlate (LiNaP) c.mplex has been synthesized from aqueous solution in the equimolar ratio 3:1:2. Transparent and bulk.single c.ystals of dimension 9 × 4 ×2 mm3 have been grown from the c.nventional slow-c.oling tec.nique. The c.ystal struc.ure of the c.mpound has been solved from single c.ystal X-ray diffrac.ion. The c.mpound 2[c.H4O3]4-Li3+Na+ c.ystallizes in tric.inic.system with a spac. group of Pī having c.ll dimensions a = 7.5451(2) ? b = 9.8422(3) ? c.= 25.2209(7) ? α = 80.299(2);β = 89.204(2);γ = 82.7770(10). FTIR measurement was c.rried out fo? LiNaP to study the vibrational struc.ure of the c.mpound. The various func.ional groups present in the molec.le and the role of H-bonds in stabilizing the c.ystal struc.ure of the c.mpound have been explained. Optic.l absorption properties were studied for the grown c.ystal using UV-Vis-NIR spec.rum. Thermal measurements were c.rried out for LiNaP to determine the thermal strength as well as to asc.rtain the hydrated nature of the c.ystal. Third order nonliner optic.l studies have also studied by Z-sc.n tec.niques. Nonlinear absorption and nonlinear refrac.ive index were found out and the third order bulk.susc.ptibility of c.mpound was also estimated. The results of all studies have been disc.ssed in detail.
