Effects of Ionic Concentrations on Survival and Growth in Polyculture of Litopenaeus vannamei with Oreochromis niloticus in Low Salinity Water

A study comparative of rearing of the Pacific white shrimp （Litopenaeus vannamei） with the Nile tilapia （Oreochromis niloticus） in three earthen ponds （5,600 m^2） with the salinity ranged from 0.5-1.2 ppt and three treatment ponds with salinity of 2-4 ppt by adding brine water into the ponds. Postlarvae 12 （PL12） of L. vannamei were stock.d at density of 9 PL/m^2 and after one week.the Nile tilapia fingerlings were stock.d at density of I fish/m^2. Only pelleted feed were given to the fish during the 196-day rearing period. Shrimps were partially harvested by sieve net at day 80 and 120, and five days later PLI2 were stock.d at the rate of 3 PL/m^2. After final harvesting at day 196, the production, body weight and survival from the treatment group were significantly higher （P 〈 0.05） than those of the control group. While the fish production body weight and survival rate from both groups were not significant differences （P 〉 0.051）. The ionic concentration of six major ions （CI, SO42, Ca^2＋, Na^＋, Mg^2＋ and k.＋）, salinity and hardness in the treatment ponds were significantly higher than those of the control ponds （P 〈 0.05）. Moreover, the ionic profiles of the treatment ponds were similar to seawater at the salinity of 2 ppt while only 1 ppt in the control ponds. Results from the study indicated that in order to achieve good growth and survival rate of L. vannamei, brine water should be added into grow-out ponds prior to stock.ng and during the rearing： period to obtain and maintain the salinity not less than 2 ppt.

In this paper, we have investigated the design parameters of RF CMOS cells which will be used for switch in the wireless telecommunication systems. This RF switch is capable to select the data streams from the two antennas for both the transmitting and receiving processes. The results for the development of a cell-library which includes the basics of the circuit elements required for the radio frequency sub-systems of the integrated circuits such as V-I characteristics at low-voltages, contact resistance which is present in the switches and the potential barrier with contacts available in devices has been discussed.

Background and Aims: Open liver resection requiring an upper abdominal incision is associated with significant opioid use due to postoperative pain. We tested the hypothesis that the intraoperative combination of low dose lidocaine and ketamine would reduce opioid consumption when given in conjunction with intrathecal morphine for liver resection surgery. Methods: In this triple blind, parallel group four-arm placebo-controlled trial, we randomized 124 adult ASA 2 - 4 liver resection patients to receive intraoperative lidocaine 0.33 mg/kg/h (group L), ketamine 70 μg/kg/h (group K), combination of lidocaine 0.33 mg/kg/h and ketamine 70 μg/kg/h (group KL) and saline (group P). All patients received 300 μg intrathecal morphine prior to induction of anesthesia. All infusions were started immediately after intubation and continued until the end of surgery. Primary outcome measurements included opioid consumption at 24-hours. Secondary outcomes included pain scores, opioid consumption at 48 and 72-hours and side effects including nausea, vomiting, dizziness, hallucinations, headaches and signs of local anaesthetic toxicity. Patients were followed up for 12 weeks. Results: There was no difference in the primary outcome of opioid consumption within all 4 groups at rest or movement at 24-hours. Secondary outcome of 48-hour rest pain score was significantly higher in the L group (p = 0.03) but without any difference in opioid use.

In this paper, by using the parity operator as well as the nonlinear displacement-type operator, we define new operators which by the action of them on the vacuum state of the radiation field, superposition of two nonlinear coherent states and two-mode entangled nonlinear coherent states are generated. Also, we show that via the generalization of the presented method, the superposition of more than two nonlinear coherent states and n-mode entangled nonlinear coherent states can be generated.

In this study, a time series modeling approach is used to determine an ARIMA model and advance counterfactual forecasting at a point of policy intervention. We consider monthly data of HIV/AIDS cases from the Ministry of Health (Copperbelt province) of Zambia, for the period 2010 to 2019 and have a total of 120 observations. Results indicate that ARIMA (1, 0, 0) is an adequate model which best fits the HIV/AIDS time series data and is, therefore, suitable for forecasting cases. The model predicts a reduction from an average of 3500 to 3177 representing 14.29% in HIV/AIDS cases from 2017 (year of policy activation) to 2019, but the actual recorded cases dropped from 3500 to 1514 accounting for 57.4% in the same time frame.

Muricids are commercially important gastropods and are exploited primarily for shell craft industries. They also occupy a niche in ornamental k.eping. Studies on the larval development of muricids in Indian waters are few. Hence, an attempt was made to study with a focus on the optimum requirements for captive brood maintenance;regional variation in egg laying, intracapsular development and to estimate production potential of individual brooder (the length/ weight ranged from 80 -?110 mm/49 -?169 g (average 94.875 ± 3.980 mm/111.625 ± 14.870 g) of Chicoreus virgineus var. ponderosa collected off Tuticorin coast, Gulf of Mannar. Experimental airlift water circulation system fitted in 1 t FRP tank. having an overturn of 300% water is found suitable for long term maintenance and maturation of brooders with near cent percent survival over a year. Spontaneous breeding commenced from June ’09. Eggs cases were ‘vase’ shaped and measured 1.2 -?1.5 cm in height. Egg case numbers varied between 110 and 140 and got reduced to 10 -?40 during October and increased in Nov & December. Number of eggs within the egg case was highly variable ranging from 100 -?380. Eggs were spherical, embedded in jelly mass within the egg case and measured 510 -?608 μ (578 μ). Intra capsular development is detailed and compared with the earlier report on this species from other areas of Indian coast. Development took.nearly 20 days and only few free living juveniles measuring between 1.7 -?1.9 mm emerged and the rest of the eggs have functioned as “Nurse eggs”. Average net production potential of a single viable egg case was estimated to be 6.7 nos for Chicoreus virgineus var. ponderosa of Tuticorin coast of Gulf of Mannar.

Cobalt(Co)-modified brownmillerite k.iFe_(2)O_(5)(k.FO;[k.iFe_(2(1−x))Co_(2x)O_(5)(x=0,0.05)])polycrystalline is synthesized following the solid-state reaction *** refinement of X-ray diffraction data confirmed the phase purity of k.FO and k.iFe_(1.9)Co_(0.1)O_(5)(k.FCO).The optical bandgap energy(Eg)of k.FO decreased from 1.59 to 1.51 eV because of Co *** decrease in bandgap can be attributed to the tilting of the Fe–O tetrahedral structure of *** observed room-temperature Raman peak. of k.FCO shifted by 3 cm^(−1) toward a lower wavenumber than that of *** shift in Raman active modes can be attributed to the change in the bond angles and bond lengths of the Fe–O tetrahedral structure and modification in response to oxygen deficiency in k.FO because of Co *** with that of k.FO,the frequency-dependent dielectric constant and dielectric loss of k.FCO decrease at room temperature,which is a consequence of the reduction in oxygen migration and modification in response to vibrational modes present in the sample.
