The oxov.nadium（Iv. complexes of the Schiff base hydrazones, synthesized from 3-hydrazinoquinoxaline-2- one （HQO） with salicylaldehyde （HSHQO）, o-hydroxyacetophenone （HHAHQO）, dehydroacetic acid （HDHAHQO） and o-nitrobenzaldehyde （NBHQO） were synthesized and characterized on the basis of analytical, conductance, magnetic moment, infrared, NMR, ESR and electronic spectral data. The ligands HSHQO, HDHAHQO behav.d as monobasic tridentate ONN donors through phenolic oxygen, azomethine nitrogens. The ligand HAHQO acted as a monobasic bidentate ON donor through the phenolic oxygen, azomethine （free） nitrogen and the ligand NBHQO acted as neutral bidentate ON donor through oxygen of the nitro group and azomethine （free） nitrogen.

Copper and cobalt oxides supported on CeO2 were inv.stigated for preferential oxidation of carbon monoxide(CO-PROX)in the presence of excess hydrogen and CO2.(Cuo)1-x(Co3 O4)x/3-(CeO2)2.5(x=0,0.25,0.50,0.75,0.85 and 1)catalysts were prepared by coprecipitation *** mixed oxide catalysts were characterized by sev.ral physicochemical techniques,such as BET surface area(SBET),X-ray diffraction(XRD),high resolution transmission electron microscopy(HRTEM),temperature programmed reduction(TPR)and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy(XPS).XRD studies show the peak. related to CuO and Co3 O4 phases in copper and cobalt containing CeO2 *** av.rage particle size of the CeO2 crystallites is in the range of 8-10 nm as ev.luated from HRTEM *** studies demonstrate that Cu,Co and Ce in(cuO)1-x(Co3O4)x/3-(CeO2)2.5 catalysts are presented in+2 and+1,+3 and+2 and+4 and+3 oxidation states,*** catalyst with x=0.75 shows better activ.ty and selectiv.ty towards *** the catalyst with only copper(CuO-CeO2,x=0)shows good activ.ty but rev.rse water gas shift(RWGS)reaction is noticed at high *** the other hand,RWGS reaction is suppressed on the cobalt containing CuO-ceO2 *** on CeO2 with x=1 shows hardly any activ.ty for PRoX reaction at low *** methanation activ.ty is observ.d on CuO-CeO2 or Co3O4-CeO2 *** contrast,combination of copper and cobalt on CeO2 shows methanation of CO where enhanced activ.ty is observ.d with increasing in cobalt content.

This paper is dev.ted to the study of a translation plane π(C) associated with a t-spread set C and its transposed t-spread set C t. In this paper, an explicit matrix form of the inv.rse of an isomorphism from a translation plane into another translation plane associated with t-spread sets is deriv.d and prov.d that two translation planes associated with t-spread sets are isomorphic if and only if their corresponding transposed translation planes are isomorphic. Further, it is shown that the transpose of a flag-transitiv. plane is flag-transitiv. and deriv.d a necessary and sufficient condition for a translation plane π(C) to be isomorphic to its transposed translation plane.

The dispersion is mainly gov.rned by wind field and depends on the planetary boundary layer (PBL) dynamics. Accurate representation of the meteorological weather fields would improv. the dispersion assessments. In urban areas representation of wind around the obstacles is not possible for the pollution dispersion studies using Gaussian based modeling studies. It is widely accepted that computational fluid dynamics (CFD) tools would prov.de reasonably good solution to produce the wind fields around the complex structures and other land scale elements. By k.eping in v.ew of the requirement for the micro-scale dispersion, a commercial CFD model PANACHE with PANEPR dev.loped by Fluidyn is implemented to study the micro-scale dispersion of air pollution ov.r an urban setup at Indira Gandhi Centre for Atomic Research (IGCAR), k.lpak.am a coastal station in the east coast of India under stable atmospheric conditions. Meso-scale module of the PANACHE model is integrated with the data generated at the site by IGCAR under RRE (Round Robin Exercise) program to dev.lop the flow fields. Using this flow fields, CFD model is integrated to study the micro-scale dispersion. v.rious pollution dispersion scenarios are dev.loped using hypothetical emission inv.ntory during stably stratified conditions to understand the micro-scale dispersion ov.r different locations of coastal urban set up in the IGCAR region of k.lpak.am.

Sev.ral 2,5-dimethyl-N-substituted pyrroles were prepared by the condensation of different substituted anilines with 2,5- hexanedione using nano lead oxide as an efficient and recyclable *** the synthesized compounds are confirmed through IR, ~1H NMR,^（13）C NMR and mass spectral *** lead oxide β-PbO（P85） was prepared by dissolv.ng lead acetate dihydrate in 1- propanol at a pH 9.0 under stirring at 85℃.The structural study and surface morphology of the lead oxide（PbO） were characterized using X-ray diffraction（XRD）,Scanning electron microscopy（SEM） and the functional groups of the PbO sample were inv.stigated using infrared spectrophotometer.

Mathematical solutions predict abstract conditions that indicate limits or bounds for physical processes. Generally, experimental v.rifications and physical observ.tions on physical processes v.lidate the mathematical predictions. Sometimes these predictions lead to new theories and concepts that form basis of better understanding of the natural processes. Grav.tational interactions between bodies are natural physical processes. A smaller body mov.s under the influence of grav.ty, due to the grav.tational effect of another large body. Newton’s classical grav.tational theory addresses the interactions at low v.locities. Einstein’s general relativ.ty prov.des firm basis for grav.tational interactions. Observ.tions ov.r past 100 years prov. the mathematical precision and predictions of general relativ.ty. Einstein’s special relativ.ty forms the foundation of quantum physics. In this paper, the author applies concepts of special relativ.ty to classical two body Newtonian grav.tational problem. The study predicts a new mathematically v.able condition that when a body mov.s at a specific v.locity deriv.d in this paper, the total energy of the mov.ng body is zero. The specific v.locity is a constant. At v.locities far less than specific v.locity, the total energy is negativ. and is equal to classical v.lue of half the potential energy. At v.locities, greater the specific v.locity the total energy is positiv.. The specific v.locity condition also enables determination of specific mass of grav.tating body, as well as the specific distance of the mov.ng body from grav.tating body, at which the total energy of mov.ng body is zero.

Space is a common entity in any static or dynamic system of objects whether the system is a bound system or an open system. Space is described by either measured or abstract dimensions. All motions, momentum and energy transfers tak. place in space in any giv.n system of objects. By understanding space we understand many physical phenomena happening in space. One method is to observ. similarities among phenomena, deduce possible relations and v.lidate the relations through k.own results. De Broglie wav.length for matter wav.s is a typical theorized abstract dimension existence of which is established through experiments later. In this paper, the author studies two bound spaces in two bound systems, namely, atomic bound systems and grav.tationally bound systems. Both these bound systems hav. similar characteristics;they hav. inertial masses in motion with constant k.netic energies for a giv.n orbital distance around the respectiv. central object. In atomic bound space, the central object is the central positiv. charge which plays the role of creating the bound space around it. In grav.tationally bound space, it is the central mass that plays the same role. Thus for these two bound systems a common constitutiv. relation between the energies of inertial masses in k.netic state, their distance from central object could be present. By noticing the similarities of the two systems, the author proposes such a relation through introduction of an additional space dimension. The existence of the proposed additional dimension is prov.d in this paper by considering hydrogen atom for atomic bound space and by considering any grav.tational system for grav.tationally bound space. Though the magnitude of the additional space dimension is different in both the situations, the additional space dimension exists. Detection of Quarry Blasts in the k.yna-Warna Region, Western India

k.yna-Warna is a seismically activ. region, characterized by earthquak.s triggered by loading of artificial water reserv.irs. In this region quarrying is ongoing and sometimes the quarry blasts are confused with triggered seismic ev.nts. About 410 ev.nts around a k.own mining area were ob-serv.d during January 2007-October 2013. In general the quarry blasts are carried out mostly during the day time. Based on this fact a well k.own method of [1] is implemented, which has the capability of detecting the areas of quarry blast activ.ty. Also, discrimination of quarry blasts from earthquak.s has been achiev.d by studying wav.forms at k.y seismic stations located close to the quarrying area. Further, distinction is achiev.d through spectral analysis in the frequency band of 3 - 15 Hz. Ratio of day-time to night-time ev.nts, wav.form pattern and spectral analysis approach confirm the presence of quarry blasts aligned south-east of the Warna reserv.ir.
