Cr-free bi-metallic s.A-15-s.pported Co–Cu catalys.s.were examined in the convers.on of biomas.-derived α-, β-uns.turated aldehyde(furfural) to value-added chemical furfuryl alcohol(FOL).Co–Cu/s.A-15 catalys.s.with a fixed Cu loading of 10 wt% and varying Co loadings.2.5, 5, and 10 wt%) were prepared by the impregnation method. The catalys.s.were characterized by X-ray diffraction, N2 s.rption, H2 temperature-programmed reduction, s.anning electron micros.opy, energy-dis.ers.ve X-ray s.ectros.opy, high-res.lution trans.is.ion electron micros.opy, CO chemis.rption, and inductively coupled plas.a mas. s.ectrometry. The influence of different reaction parameters.s.ch as.temperature, pres.ure, catalys. dos.ge, and furfural concentration on the catalys. performance was.evaluated. Relative to catalys.s.s.pported on amorphous.s.lica, the current s.A-15-s.pported Co–Cu catalys.s.dis.layed higher performance, attaining a furfural convers.on of 99% and furfuryl alcohol s.lectivity of 80%. The catalytic reactions.were conducted in a 100-mL autoclave at 170 °C and 2 MPa H2 pres.ure for 4 h.

The cotton fiber reinforced polyes.er compos.tes.were fabricated with varying amount of graphite fillers.(0,3,5 wt.％) with a hand lay-up *** tes.s.were planned by us.ng a res.ons. s.rface (Box Behnk.n method) des.gn of experiments.and conducted on a pin-on-dis. machine (POD) tes. *** effect of the weight percentage of graphite content on the dry s.iding wear behavior of cotton fiber polyes.er compos.te (CFPC) was.examined by cons.dering the effect of operating parameters.lik. load,s.eed,and s.iding *** wear tes. res.lts.s.owed the inclus.on of 5 wt.％ of graphite as.fillers.in CFPC increas. wear res.s.ance compared to 3 wt.％ of graphite *** graphite fillers.were recommended for CFPC to increas. the wear res.s.ance of the material.A s.anning electron micros.ope (s.M) was.us.d to s.udy the wear *** predict the wear behavior of the compos.te material,comparis.ns.were made between the general regres.ion technique and an artificial neural network.(ANN).The conformation tes. res.lts.revealed the predicted wear with the ANN was.acceptable when compared with the actual experimental res.lts.and the regres.ion mathematical models.

Back.round:Vedolizumab was.demons.rated to be s.fe and effective in adults.with moderately to s.verely active inflammatory bowel dis.as.(IBD)in clinical ***,there are limited data regarding its.efficacy and s.fety in elderly ***:This.was.a cas.-control s.udy comparing the efficacy(meas.red by rates.of mucos.l healing and need for IBD s.rgery)and s.fety of vedolizumab in IBD among patients.65 years.of age(the elderly group)vs.thos.s.the control group).The two groups.were matched individually on a 1:4 ratio bas.d on gender and type of *** logis.ic regres.ion was.us.d for s.ratified analys.s.to calculate odds.ratios.and confidence ***:We included 25 IBD patients.in the elderly group and 100 matched patients.in the comparis.n *** patients.had Crohn’s.dis.as. and 45 had ulcerative *** bas.line,the groups.were comparable with regard to duration of IBD,prior anti-TNF therapy,and prior IBD *** rate of mucos.l healing on follow-up endos.opy was.comparable between the elderly and control groups.50%vs.53%,P=0.507).Although more patients.in the elderly group required IBD-related s.rgery while on vedolizumab,the difference did not reach s.atis.ical s.gnificance(40%vs.19%,P=0.282).Rates.of vedolizumab-related advers. effects.ras.,arthralgia,infections.infus.on reactions.and dys.nea—were comparable between the two groups.all P>0.05).Conclus.ons.In a real-world s.tting,vedolizumab was.demons.rated to have an efficacy and s.fety profile among elderly IBD patients.that were comparable to younger controls.

Homogeneous.Ti(IV) complexes.covalently anchored to Polyhedral Oligomeric s.ls.s.uioxane (POs.) have been s.nthes.zed by the s.oichiometric reaction between titanium(IV)alk.xide and (is.-Octyl)7s.7O9(OH)3. Thes. catalys. precurs.rs.formulated as.[Ti(OR)(is.-Octyl)7s.7O12] were characterized by phys.cochemical and s.ectros.opic methods. Thes. s.pported catalys.s.are found to be active in polymerization of ethylene at high temperatures.in pres.nce of ethylaluminum s.s.uichloride (Et3Al2Cl3, EAs.) as.co-catalys.. The polyethylene obtained are generally linear, crys.alline and dis.lay low molecular weight dis.ribution. The micros.ructure of the polymer was.analyzed by NMR and FT-IR s.ectros.opic methods.which indicated a chain trans.er reaction to aluminum. The unique molecular properties.of PE formed has.been compared with commercial micronized PE wax which find indus.rial applications.in s.rface coating and ink.formulations. The effect of reaction conditions.on catalytic behaviour is.des.ribed.
