Van der Waals.heteros.ructures.have been lately intens.vely s.udied becaus. they offer a large variety of properties.that can be controlled by s.lecting 2D materials.and their s.quence in the s.ack. The exact arrangement of the layers.as.well as.the exact arrangement of the atoms.within the layers. both are important for the properties.of the res.lting device. However, it is.very difficult to control and characterize the exact pos.tion of the atoms.and the layers.in s.ch heteros.ructures. in particular, along the vertical (z) dimens.on. Recently it has.been demons.rated that convergent beam electron diffraction (CBED) allows.quantitative three-dimens.onal mapping of atomic pos.tions.in three-dimens.onal materials.from a s.ngle CBED pattern. In this.s.udy we inves.igate CBED in more detail by s.mulating and performing various.CBED regimes. with convergent and divergent wavefronts. on a s.mewhat s.mplified s.s.em: a two-dimens.onal (2D) monolayer crys.al. In CBED, each CBED s.ot is.in fact an in-line hologram of the s.mple, where in-line holography is.k.own to exhibit high intens.ty contras. in detection of weak.phas. objects.that are not detectable in conventional in-focus.imaging mode. Ads.rbates.exhibit s.rong intens.ty contras. in the zero and higher order CBED s.ots. whereas.lattice deformation s.ch as.s.rain or rippling caus. noticeable intens.ty contras. only in the firs. and higher order CBED s.ots. The individual CBED s.ots.can thus.be recons.ructed as.typical in-line holograms. and a res.lution of 2.13 A can in principle be achieved in the recons.ructions. We provide s.mulated and experimental examples.of CBED of a 2D monolayer crys.al. The s.mulations.s.ow that individual CBED s.ots.can be treated as.in-line holograms.and s.mple dis.ributions.s.ch as.ads.rbates. can be recons.ructed. Individual atoms.can be recons.ructed from a s.ngle CBED pattern provided the later exhibits.high-order CBED s.ots. The experimental res.lts.were obtained in a trans.is.ion ele

Few-layer graphene (FLG) has.recently been intens.vely inves.igated for its.variable electronic properties. which are defined by a local atomic arrangement. While the mos. natural arrangement of layers.in FLG is.ABA (Bernal) s.ack.ng, a metas.able ABC (rhombohedral) s.ack.ng, characterized by a relatively high-energy barrier, can als. occur. When both types.of s.ack.ng occur in one FLG device, the arrangement res.lts.in an in-plane heteros.ructure with a domain wall (DW). In this.paper, we pres.nt two approaches.to demons.rate that the ABC s.ack.ng in FLG can be controllably and locally turned into the ABA s.ack.ng. In the firs. approach, we introduced Joule heating, and the trans.tion was.characterized by 2D peak.Raman s.ectra at a s.bmicron s.atial res.lution. The trans.tion was.initiated in a s.all region, and then the DW was.controllably s.ifted until the entire device became ABA s.ack.d. In the s.cond approach, the trans.tion was.achieved by illuminating the ABC region with a train of 790-nm-wavelength las.r puls.s. and the trans.tion was.vis.alized by trans.is.ion electron micros.opy in both diffraction and dark.field imaging modes. Further, us.ng this.approach, the DW was.vis.alized at a nanos.ale s.atial res.lution in the dark.field imaging mode.

Thermally activated ultrafas. diffus.on,collis.on and combination of metal atoms.compris. the fundamental proces.es.of s.nthes.zing burgeoning s.bnanometer metal clus.ers.for divers. ***,s. far,no method has.allowed the k.netically controllable s.nthes.s.of s.bnanometer metal clus.ers.without compromis.ng metal ***,we have developed,for the firs. time,a graphene-confined ultrafas. radiant heating(GCURH) method for the s.nthes.s.of high-loading metal clus.er catalys.s.in micros.conds.where the impermeable and flexible graphene acts.as.a diffus.on-cons.rained nanoreactor for high-temperature *** from graphene-mediated ultrafas. and efficient las.r-to-thermal convers.on,the GCURH method is.capable of providing a record-high heating and cooling rate of～109℃/s.and a peak.temperature above 2000 ℃,and the diffus.on of thermally activated atoms.is.s.atially limited within the confinement of the graphene *** a res.lt,due to the k.netics.dominant and diffus.on-cons.rained condition provided by GCURH,s.bnanometer Co clus.er catalys.s.with high metal loading up to 27.1 wt% have been s.nthes.zed by pyrolyzing a Co-bas.d metal-organic framework.MOF)in micros.conds.repres.nting one of the highes. s.ze-loading combinations.and the quick.s. rate for MOF pyrolys.s.in the reported *** obtained Co clus.er catalys. not only exhibits.an extraordinary activity s.milar to that of mos. modern multicomponent noble metal counterparts.in the electro catalytic oxygen evolution reaction,but is.als. highly convenient for catalys. recycling and refining due to its.s.ngle metal *** a novel GCURH technique paves.the way for the k.netically regulated,limited diffus.on dis.ance of thermally activated atoms.which in turn provides.enormous.opportunities.for the development of s.phis.icated and environmentally s.s.ainable metal clus.er catalys.s.
