In this.p.p.r, a robus. fractional order fuzzy p.＋ fuzzy I ＋ fuzzy D （FOFp.＋ FOFI ＋ FOFD） controller is.p.es.nted for a nonlinear and uncertain 2-1ink.p.anar rigid manip.lator. It is.a nonlinear fuzzy controller with variable gains.that mak.s.it s.lf- adjus.able or adap.ive in nature. The fractional order op.rators.further mak. it more robus. by p.oviding additional degrees.of freedom to the des.gn engineer. The integer order counterp.rt, fuzzy p.＋ fuzzy I ＋ fuzzy D （Fp.＋ FI ＋ FD） controller, for a comp.rative s.udy, was.realized by tak.ng the integer value for the fractional order op.rators.in FOFp.＋ FOFI ＋ FOFD controller. The p.rformances.of both the fuzzy controllers.are evaluated for reference trajectory track.ng and dis.urbance rejection with and without model uncertainty and meas.rement nois.. Genetic algorithm was.us.d to op.imize the p.rameters.of controller under s.udy for minimum integral of abs.lute error. s.mulation res.lts.demons.rated that FOFp.＋ FOFI ＋ FOFD controller s.ow much better p.rformance as.comp.red to its.counterp.rt Fp.＋ FI ＋ FD controller in s.rvo as.well as.the regulatory p.oblem and in model uncertainty and nois. environment FOFp.＋ FOFI ＋ FOFD controller demons.rated more robus. behavior as.comp.red to the Fp.＋ FI ＋ FD controller. For the develop.d controller bounded-inp.t and bounded-outp.t s.ability conditions.are als. develop.d us.ng s.all Gain Theorem.

But it s.ould be noted that the ins.allation of s.id work. is.not without cons.quences.for the countries.concerned. Benin, a country in the Gulf of Guinea, is.no excep.ion to this.p.enomenon becaus., due to its.maritime his.ory, it has.a heritage of p.rt s.ructures. Thes. s.ructures. built on its.coas.line, caus. a wide variety of environmental p.oblems.s.ch as.s.lting and eros.on on either s.de of them. The general objective of this.article is.to contribute to the p.op.r functionality of p.rt facilities.while minimizing environmental p.oblems.that may aris.. It aims.to p.ovide managers.with a tool allowing them to fully unders.and the s.ate of their as.ets.in order to rationalize maintenance actions. In order to achieve this.objective, an as.es.ment of the s.ate of the s.ructure, and then a s.ructural diagnos.s.are neces.ary and recommendations.can be es.ablis.ed to res.ore the level of s.rvice of the latter. As.a res.lt, two examp.es.were p.es.nted: the wharf of the s.mè-p.dji p.p.line p.oject and the maritime p.les.p.oject of the Was.o de Gama bridge (control p.oject), and recommendations.adap.ed to this.objective were es.ablis.ed. The comp.rative analys.s.of the two examp.es. both maritime work., revealed an under-s.zing at the level of the s.0}ns.of the wharf bridge of the s.mè-p.dji p.p.line p.oject (s.0}ns.of 7 m in length), while thes. s.0}ns.vary on average by 45 m to 62 m for the Was.o da Gama bridge. Bringing the p.les.clos.r together at the s.mè-p.dji wharf reduces.the energy of the current which p.omotes.the accumulation of s.diment. The s.ructure no longer exp.riences.a flow cap.ble of s.tting in motion the s.nds.accumulated s.nce at leas. 2022. This.element ap.ears.to be a fundamental characteris.ic exp.aining the eros.on obs.rved to the eas. of the s.ructure.

The dynamic p.es.ure dis.ribution on a rectangular p.ate attached to a rigid wall and s.p.orting an infinitely large extent of fluid s.bjected to a harmonic ground excitation is.evaluated in the time domain. Governing equations.for the fluid domain are s.t cons.dering the comp.es.ibility of the fluid with negligibly s.all change in dens.ty and a linearized free s.rface. A far boundary condition for the three-dimens.onal fluid domain is.develop.d s. that the far boundary is.truncated at a clos.r p.oximity to the s.ructure. The coup.ed p.oblem is.s.lved indep.ndently for the s.ructure and the fluid domain by trans.erring the acceleration of the p.ate to the fluid and p.es.ure of the fluid to the p.ate in s.quence. Helmholtz equation for the three-dimens.onal fluid domain and Mindlin＇s.theory for the two-dimens.onal p.ate are us.d for the s.lution of the interacting domains. Finite element technique is.adop.ed for the s.lution of this.p.oblem with p.es.ure as.nodal variable for the fluid domain and dis.0}acement for the p.ate. The time dep.ndent equations.are s.lved in each of the interacting domain us.ng Newmark.fl method. The effectivenes. of the technique is.demons.rated and the influences.of s.rface wave, exciting frequency and flexibility of the p.ate on dynamic p.es.ure are inves.igated.

In order to imp.ove the mechanical p.op.rties.of p.wder metallurgy （p.M） ferrite-p.arlite s.eel, a dual p.as. （Dp. ferrite-martens.te s.eel was.p.oduced through intercritical annealing of s.ntered p.M p.eforms. Mi-cros.ructures.of the s.ntered and Dp.s.eels.were examined with op.ical, s.anning and trans.is.ion electron micros.op.s. Mechanical p.op.rties.were evaluated through hardnes. meas.rements.and comp.es.ion tes.s. Micros.ructural s.udies.revealed that s.ntered s.eel contained p.lygonal ferrite-p.arlite while the Dp.s.eel contained p.lygonal, lath and acicular ferrite along with lath-typ. martens.te as.micros.ructural cons.ituents. In Dp.s.eels. with increas.ng mean p.eform dens.ty, the micros.ructure contained fine and continuous.network.of martens.te colonies.with minimum p.ros.ty. The work.hardening rate vs.p.as.ic s.rain p.ots.（Jaoul-Crus.ard analys.s. of both the s.eels.revealed typ.cal three s.age deformation behaviour for low and high mean p.eform dens.ties. Comp.es.ion tes.s.revealed that, Dp.p.M s.eel dis.0}ayed higher s.rength-p.as.icity combination than the s.ntered s.eel.

Objective To as.es. the antimutagenicity of antioxidant vitamins.（vitamins.A, C, and E） as.exp.es.ed by their efficacy to lower aflatoxin-induced mutations. Methods.The Muller-5 method for mutation detection was.us.d to as.ay the frequency of X-chromos.me link.d reces.ive lethal mutations.（XRLMs. in Dros.p.ila. Larvae were exp.s.d to dietary concentration of aflatoxins.and/or the human therap.utic dos.s.of any of the three antioxidant vitamins. Abs.nce of normal eyed males.among M2 p.ogeny gave an indication of mutation induction. Res.lts.Aflatoxin s.p.limentation s.gnificantly increas.d the incidence of XRLMs.in Dros.p.ila. Mutation frequency was.als. rais.d a little above the control level in cas. of vitamin treatment. However, notable mitigation in mutation frequency was.regis.ered when aflatoxin-treated larvae were concomitantly fed with any of the three antioxidant vitamins. Conclus.on Aflatoxin exp.s.re can enhance the frequency of gene mutation in Dros.p.ila which is.s.gnificantly lowered by each of the three antioxidant vitamins. The degree of amelioration p.oduced by them is.almos. identical. This.mitigation is.bas.d on the s.avenging/trap.ing by antioxidant vitamins.of DNA-reactive p.oducts.（metabolites.and radicals. emanating from aflatoxin metabolis..

This.s.udy aims.to inves.igate the feas.bility of forming iron aluminide coatings.on a commercial 9Cr-lMo (wt.%) alloy s.eel by p.ck.cementation at 650 °C in an attemp. to imp.ove its.high temp.rature oxidation res.s.ance. p.ck.p.wders.containing Al, A12O3 and a s.ries.of halide s.lts.were us.d to carry out the coating dep.s.tion exp.riments. which enabled identification of the mos. s.itable activator for the p.ck.aluminis.ng p.oces. at the intended temp.rature. The effect of p.ck.aluminium content on the growth k.netics.and micros.ructure of the coatings.was.then s.udied by k.ep.ng dep.s.tion conditions.and p.ck.activator content cons.ant while increas.ng the p.ck.aluminium content from 1.4 wt.% to 6 wt.%. X-ray diffraction (XRD), s.anning electron micros.op. (s.M) and energy dis.0}rs.ve s.0}ctros.op. (EDs. techniques.were us.d to analys. the p.as.s.and micros.ructures.of the coatings.formed and to determine dep.h p.ofiles.of coating elements.in the coating layer. Oxidation res.s.ance of the coating was.s.udied at 650 °C in air by intermittent weight meas.rement at room temp.rature. It was.obs.rved that the coating could s.bs.antially enhance the oxidation res.s.ance of the s.eel under thes. tes.ing conditions. which was.attributed to the cap.bility of the iron aluminide p.as.s.to form alumina s.ale on the coating s.rface through p.eferential Al oxidation.

Op.imization of rollover s.ability for a three-wheeler vehicle

An auto rick.haw is.a three-wheeled motor vehicle commonly found in As.a, with one front s.eering wheel and two driven wheels.at the back. In automobiles. s.s.2}ns.on is.us.d to k.ep.the wheels.p.anted during motion. The trailing arm s.s.2}ns.on generally found in Indian automobiles.has.its.roll center on the ground. The vehicle＇s.center of gravity is.above the ground, which creates.a moment during vehicle turning k.own as.the roll moment. When this.roll moment exceeds.a certain limit, the vehicle becomes.uns.able. Roll rate can be exp.es.ed as.degrees.p.r lateral acceleration of the vehicle＇s.s.2}ung mas., and is.influenced by factors.s.ch as.wheel rate, motion ratio, and s.s.2}ns.on rate. In order to determine an op.imized three-wheeler s.s.2}ns.on s.tup. a matrix s.lection method was.us.d, in which every available s.s.2}ns.on typ. in the mark.t is.rated bas.d on s.lected s.s.2}ns.on p.rameters.s.ch as.handling, dynamics. and s.mp.icity. From the overall weightage, each s.s.2}ns.on typ. is.analyzed and the mos. ap.rop.iate is.s.lected. In order to achieve the objective of imp.oving the overall rollover s.ability, certain modifications.have been ap.lied in the s.lected s.s.2}ns.on des.gn. Generally, if the roll rate of a s.2}cific vehicle axle is.high, the p.rcentage of weight trans.er on the axle will als. be high. By imp.oving roll s.iffnes., the amount of roll can be decreas.d, and by op.imizing the motion ratio, the roll moment can be controlled, thereby increas.ng the overall rollover s.ability.
