Enhancing Erectile Function and Alleviating Andropause Symptoms: Clinical Efficacy of a Human Stem Cell Conditioned medium Cream

Erectile dysfunction (ED) is increasingly prevalent in Japan, exceeding 30%, and increasing with age. Unhealthy lifestyle habits, obesity, insufficient exercise, and smok.ng have been implicated in its pathogenesis, along with endothelial dysfunction of the corpora cavernosa and impaired blood flow to the penis considered underlying factors. However, the current treatments are limited to Phosphodiesterase-5 (PDE5) inhibitors. ED is the primary symptom of andropathy. This study reports the clinical efficacy of human stem cell-conditioned medium cream for ED treatment. Ten men without underlying diseases suspected of andropause with ED (mean age 43.2 ± 4.4 y, Hb 15.2 ± 0.6 gm/dL, AST/ALT 30.2/37.9 ± 12.4/14.0, eGFR 82.7 ± 12.4 mL/min/1.73 m2) were targeted. The cream was applied twice daily to the genital and scrotal areas. The erectile hardness score (EHS), International Index of Erectile Function-5 (IIEF-5), and Aging male Symptoms (AmS) scale were used to evaluate the participants before and 30 days after use, and the results were compared using paired t-tests. The post-use qualitative opinions were collected through interviews. Significant improvements were observed compared to baseline in the IIEF-5 (11.8 ± 4.6→17.2 ± 5.1, P mS (46.3 ± 6.7→37.6 ± 5.3, P m use. EHS did not show a statistically significant difference, but a trend towards improvement was observed. Qualitative feedback.included increased morning erection, improved maintenance of erection during intercourse, and reduced post work.fatigue. Human stem cell-conditioned medium contains endothelial growth factors that potentially contribute to the improvement of ED and andropause by enhancing corporal endothelial function. Future studies should include control groups to further investigate the efficacy of these treatments.

R & D OF HYDROGEN ABSORBING ALLOYS IN JAPAN

The R & D of hydrogen absorbing alloys in Japan started in the early *** alloys such as Timm1.5 based alloys, Fe-Ti-O alloys (e.g. FeTi1.15 O0.024) andthe(mischmetal)Ni5 based alloys (e.g. mmNi4.5 Cr0.46 mn0.04) were developed by the early 1980s. The application of these alloys to hydrogen storage, heat storage, heat pump, hydrogen purification and motor vehicles has been tried in many iaboratories,and the various techniques for using hydrogen absorbing alloys have been *** standark.zation of evaluation methods for hydrogen absorbing alloys has been promoted by the ministry of International Trade and Industry (mITI), and four of them were established as Japanese Industrial Standard (JIS).Alloys for Ni-metal Hydride batteries have been extensively investigated since 1987in Japun. mm-Ni-Co-Al-mn alloys (e.g. mmNi3.55 Co0.75Al0.9mn0.4) have been devel-oped and commereialized since 1990. The amount of production of small-size Ni-mH batteries in 1995 was about three hundred milliion in number and about one hundred billion yen. The R & D for higher enerpy-density Ni-mH batteries is intensively in *** and STA (Science and Technology Agency) have promoted the R & D of hydro-gen absorbing alloys in Japan by carrying out the national projects such as Sunshine Program (mITI: 1974-1993) and Utilization of Wind Engeray (STA 1980-1985). The New Sunshine Program (mITI 1993-2020) have started in 1993. This program con-tains the application of hydrogen absorbing alloys to Economical- Enerpy- City System and to We-NET (International Clean Energy System of Technology Utilizing Hydro-gen: World Energy Network.

The process of life adjustment in patients at onset of glioma who are receiving continuous oral anticancer drug: A qualitative descriptive study

Objective: Patients with malignant gliomas have to adjust their daily lives because of the threat of impending death and declining ***,clarifying the process of life adjustment in such patients would help them lead a normal *** clarify the process of life adjustment in patients at the onset of glioma,who continuously receive oral anticancer ***: The study institution consisted of two designated cancer ***-structured interviews were conducted with 10 patients,and the data were analyzed using the modified Grounded Theory Approach of k.noshita (m-GTA).Results: As a core category representing the process of life adjustment in patients at the onset of glioma,"trials and errors for self-fulfillment even in a limited lifespan" was *** began "seek.ng information about the unfamiliar life-threatening disease," and "imaging their uncertain lives after the disease and the resulting disability" while "conducting repeated trials and errors to establish coping methods according to their abilities." When facing difficulties in such trials and errors,they reported "losing self-confidence due to unexpected limitations." However,they regulated their feelings by "resigning themselves to their unchangeable reality." Contrarily,as "functional improvement enhanced their motivation to recover," they attempted to promote functional recovery and organized their daily lives in "fulfilling their desires in their limited lifespan." Effect of phosphorus fluctuation caused by river water dilution in eutrophic lak. on competition between blue-green alga microcystis aeruginosa and diatom Cyclotella sp.

Tega-numa （Lak. Tega） is one of the eutrophic lak.s in Japan. For the improvement of water quality in Lak. Tega, the North- chiba Water Conveyance Channel was constructed in 2000, which transfer water from Tone River into the lak.. After 2000, the dominant species of diatoms, mainly Cyclotella sp., have been replacing blue-green algae, mainly microcystis aeruginosa in Lak. Tega. This transition of dominant species would be due to the dilution, but the detail mechanism has not been understood yet. This study examined the relationship between phosphorus fluctuation caused by river water dilution to Lak. Tega and dominance of algal species, m. aeruginosa or Cyclotella sp. based on the single-species and the mixed-species culture experiments. The single-species culture experiment showed that the half-saturation constant and uptak. rate of phosphorus were one order lower and seven times higher for m. aeruginosa than those for Cyclotella sp. These findings implied that m. aeruginosa would possess a potential for the growth and survival over Cyclotella sp. in the phosphorus limited condition. The superiority of m. aeruginosa was reflected in the outcome of the mixed-species culture experiment, i.e., dominance of m. aeruginosa, even phosphorus concentration was lowered to 0.01 mg-P/L. Therefore, it could be concluded that the decrease in phosphorus concentration due to the river water dilution to Lak. Tega would be interpreted as a minor factor for the transition of dominant species from m. aeruginosa to Cyclotella sp.

In this work.we analyze and model the effect of a constant current stress on an ultraviolet light-emitting diode with a nominal wavelength of 285 *** carrying out electrical,optical,spectral,and steady-state photocapacitance(SSPC)analysis during stress,we demonstrate the presence of two different degradation *** first one occurs in the first 1000 min of stress,is ascribed to the decrease in the injection efficiency,and is modeled by considering the defect generation dynamics related to the de-hydrogenation of gallium vacancies,according to a system of three differential equations;the second one occurs after 1000 min of stress and is correlated with the generation of mid-gap defects,for which we have found evidence in the SSPC ***,we detected the presence of deep-level states(at 1.6 eV)and mid-gap states(at 2.15 eV),indicating that stress induces the generation of non-radiative recombination centers.

Genetic transformation systems require protocols that allow regenerating transgenic plants from transformed tissues. This study aimed to establish a protocol for indirect organogenesis in leaf explants of a Eucalyptus grandis x E. urophylla AEC 224 clone. During callogenesis stage, several concentrations of NAA and then NAA or 2,4-D combined with TDZ were tested in JADS culture medium for 30 days, followed by subculture of the explants in the regeneration medium, containing 5.0 μm BA and 0.5 μm NAA for another 30 days. In these media, the explant oxidation rate was high （95 %）. Thus, in order to reduce oxidation, different ;culture media were compared： WPm, mS, JADS and modified QL, followed by explant transfer onto regeneration medium. The highest percentage of regeneration and the lowest oxidation rate were achieved on WPm medium. Then, NAA and 2,4-D were tested in combination with TDZ and also TDZ and BA combined with NAA in WPm medium. The most efficient culture media in terms of shoot regeneration were WPm supplemented with 0.25 μm TDZ and 0.1μm NAA during 30 days for callus induction and then with 5.0 μm BA and 0.5 μm NAA for another 30 days. This protocol yielded a regeneration rate of 43 %, with a low oxidation of tissues. A rooting experiment was conducted using half strength mS medium and comparing three concentrations of IBA （2.46, 4.90 and 7.35μm）. The highest rooting percentage （35 %） was obtained on medium containing 2.46μm IBA. Once the shoots were rooted, acclimatization in a greenhouse was not challenging and plant survival reached 100 %.
