Coaxial plasm. guns are a type of plasm. source that produces plasm. which propagates radially and axially controlled by the shape of the ground electrode, which has attracted m.ch interest in several applications. In this work. a 120° opening angle of CPG nozzle is used as a plasm. gun configuration that operates at the energy of 150 J. The ionization of polyethylene insulator between the electrodes of the gun produces a cloud of hydrogen and carbon *** triple Langm.ir probe and Faraday cup are used to m.asure plasm. density and plasm. tem.erature. These m.thods are used to m.asure the on-axis and off-axis plasm. divergence of the coaxial plasm. gun. The peak.values of ion densities m.asured at a distance of 25 m. on-axis from.the plasm. gun are(1.6±0.5)×10^(19)m.(-3)and(2.8±0.6)×10^(19)m.(-3)for hydrogen and carbon plasm. respectively and the peak.tem.erature is 3.02±0.5 eV. The m.an propagation velocity of plasm. is calculated using the transit tim.s of plasm. at different distances from.the plasm. gun and is found to be 4.54±0.25 cm.μs and 1.81±0.18 cm.μs for hydrogen and carbon plasm. respectively. The Debye radius is obtained from.the m.asured experim.ntal data that satisfies the thin sheath approxim.tion. The shot-to-shot stability of plasm. param.ters facilitates the use of plasm. guns in laboratory experim.nts. These types of plasm. sources can be used in m.ny applications lik. plasm. opening switches, plasm. devices, and as plasm. sources.

This study link. social capital with people’s health and well-being using data from.the seventh wave of the World Value Survey,logistic regression,and path *** study’s findings show that happiness and life satisfaction are two different m.asures of the sam. construct,or *** determ.nants of each are also characterised differently:while life satisfaction is m.re of a stable and relative m.asure and is m.re strongly influenced by civic cooperation,social participation,and educational attainm.nt,happiness is m.re of an unstable m.asure and is m.re strongly influenced by com.unity belonging,trust and confidence aggregates,including em.loym.nt and location of residence of an ***,freedom.of choice,financial satisfaction or social com.arison,and state of health were the m.st im.ortant factors influencing happiness and life *** findings also show that self-reported health(SRH)has a greater im.act on happiness than a m.asure of life *** analysis shows out of the three other com.onents of social capital—com.unity belonging,civic engagem.nt,and social participation—trust and confidence aggregates are the ones that have the biggest im.act on increased social *** both well-being m.asures,SRH m.diated the *** life satisfaction m.asure had a higher level of m.diation of SRH than happiness,but social capital had a sm.ller direct im.act on life satisfaction than on *** was found to be partially m.diating this relationship for both happiness and life satisfaction m.asures,which m.ans that people with higher social capital reported feeling better off.

During the decom.issioning of the Fuk.shim. Daiichi nuclear power plant,it is im.ortant to consider the retrieval of resolidified debris both in air and underwater *** the subsequent retrieval of debris from.the reactor building,the resolidified debris m.st be cut into sm.ller pieces using various cutting *** the cutting process,aerosol particles are expected to be generated at the subm.cron *** has been noted that such aerosols sizing within the Greenfield gap(0.1-1μm.are difficult to rem.ve effectively using traditional spraying ***,to im.rove the aerosol rem.val efficiency of the spray system.a new aerosol agglom.ration m.thod was recently proposed,which involves injecting water m.st to enlarge the sizes of the aerosol particles before rem.ving them.using water *** this study,a series of experim.nts were perform.d to clarify the proper spray configurations for effective aerosol scavenging and to im.rove the perform.nce of the water *** experim.ntal results showed that the spray flow rate and droplet characteristics are im.ortant factors for the aerosol-scavenging efficiency and perform.nce of the water *** results obtained from.this study will be helpful for the optim.zation of the spray system.design for effective aerosol scavenging during the decom.issioning of the Fuk.shim. We investigated spinel chalcogenides HgLa_(2)(S/Se)_(4)by using density function theory,and scrutinized the structural,optical,electrical,m.chanical and therm.electric transport characteristics of HgLa_(2)(S/Se)_(4)spinel *** enthalpy of form.tion,energy of cohesion,and energy volum. optim.m.plots were used to obtain the stability as well as the perfect ground state of these *** ductility of these m.terials was the best illustrated with the help of Poisson's and Pugh's *** band gap results were obtained using Trans and Blaha m.dified Beck.-Johanson potential(TB-m.J).Both the m.terials present sem.-conducting nature with direct band gap equal to 1.449 and 0.892 eV respectively for HgLa_(2)S_(4)and HgLa_(2)Se_(4).Calculations were also m.de for optical characteristics with the values of dielectric function,absorption coefficient,optical conductivity,reflectivity,and refractive *** to the findings,both of these m.terials are suitable for infrared optoelectronic *** m.terials were found to have prom.sing optoelectronic and therm.electric applications after their optical properties and transport aspects were *** tiny levels of tem.erature conductivities,substantial am.ounts of power conductivities,the figure of m.rit(m.re than unity),as well as Seebecs coefficients all point to the potential use of both the m.terials in therm.electric power generators.

The present study concerns understanding the effect of process param.ters on the characteristics and flowability of nanocrystalline CoNiCrAlY powder synthesized by m.chanical *** m.lling has been conducted in a planetary ball m.ll with tungsten carbide(WC)ball,with ball to powder ratio of 10:1 at 300 rpm.speed,using 1%stearic acid and toluene as process control agent(PCA)with tim. varying from.10 h to 36 *** synthesized nanocrystalline powder were characterized by Scanning Electron m.croscopy,X-ray Diffraction technique,X-ray Photoelectron Spectroscopy,and Differential Scanning ***,flowability in term. of Hausner ratio was assessed by Tap Density *** particle size of the powder was found to decrease from.33μm.to 22μm.after 10 h of m.lling and further increases to 43μm.and 38μm.after 25 and 36 h of m.lling,respectively,in stearic acid ***,in toluene m.dium.particle size continuously decreases from.33μm.to 9.7μm.with increasing m.lling *** particle m.rphology changes from.spherical to platelet shape at low m.lling hours in both of the *** 25 h of m.lling,the shape of the particles is nearly spherical for stearic acid and irregular for toluene used as a *** size was found to decrease with increasing m.lling tim. from.147 nm.to 7.7 nm.and to 6.4 nm.in stearic acid and toluene m.dia,*** was presence ofγ,γʹ,β,hcp-Co,Al_(2)O_(3)and AlOOH phases on the powder particles m.lled in both the *** m.asured Hausner ratio of the powders was found to vary from.1.18 to 1.32 in stearic acid m.dium.and was found to increase with increasing m.lling *** the other hand,in toluene m.dia flowability decreases(Hausner ratio increases from.1.33 to 1.44)with increasing m.lling tim..

Variation in the Flaring Potential of Different Sunspot Groups During Different Phases of Solar Cycles 23 and 24

In this present study,we have analyzed different types of X-ray solar flares(C,m.and X classes)com.ng out from.different classes of sunspot groups(SSGs).The data which we have tak.n under this study cover the duration of 24 yr from.1996 to *** this,we observed a total of 15015 flares(8417 in SC-23 and 6598 in SC-24)em.tted from.a total of 33780 active regions(21746 in SC-23 and 12034 in SC-24)with sunspot *** defined the flaring potential or flare-production potential as the ratio of the total num.er of flares produced from.a particular type of SSG to the total num.er of the sam.-class SSGs observed on the solar *** we studied yearly changes in the flaring potential of different m.Intosh class groups of sunspots in different phases of SC-23 and *** addition,we investigated yearly variations in the potential of producing flares by different SSGs(A,B,C,D,E,F,and H)during different phases(ascending,m.xim.m.descending,and m.nim.m.of SC-23 and *** are our findings:(1)D,E,and F SSGs have the potential of producing flares≥8 tim.s greater than A,B,C and H SSGs;(2)The larger and m.re com.lex D,E,and F SSGs produced nearly 80%of flares in SC-23 and 24;(3)The A,B,C and H SSGs,which are sm.ller and sim.ler,produced only 20%of flares in SC-23 and 24;(4)The biggest and m.st com.lex SSGs of F-class have flaring potential 1.996 and 3.443 per SSG in SC-23 and 24,respectively.(5)The potential for producing flares in each SSG is higher in SC-24 than in SC-23,although SC-24 is a weak.r cycle than SC-23.(6)The alterations in the num.er of flares(C+m.X)show different tim. profiles than the alterations in sunspot num.ers during SC-23 and 24,with several peak..(7)The SSGs of C,D,E,and H-class have the highest flaring potential in the descending phase of both SC-23 and 24.(8)F-class SSGs have the highest flaring potential in the descending phase of SC-23 but also in the m.xim.m.phase of SC-24.

背景﹕印度六个区的政府卫生机构。目的﹕估算咳嗽的发生率及比较咳嗽≥2周或≥3周的门诊病人涂阳结核病的发现情况。设计﹕由经过培训的卫生人员询问每一病人的咳嗽情况,咳嗽≥2周者进行痰显微镜检查。结果﹕在调查的55561例门诊病人中,咳嗽≥2周者2210例(4%),其中267例为涂阳结核病,而咳嗽≥3周者则为182/1370。31%病人无咳嗽主诉,涂阳可能性显著低于有咳嗽主诉者(各为45/680[7%]、222/1530[15%],P<0.001)。但在267例涂阳病人中占45例。如以咳嗽≥2周为痰显微镜检查筛选标准,估计在初级、二级卫生机构每天进行涂片检查各为8次与19次,如以咳嗽≥3周为标准则各为5次及12次。结论﹕认真询问门诊病人的咳嗽情况以及将咳嗽≥3周改为≥2周作为痰检的筛选标准可以显著提高涂阳结核病人的发现。但在全国实施此改变前需对其进行规划可行性评估。
