AIM:To investigate sonograph.cally th. effect of Gonogronema latifolium (***) on gastric emptying of semi-solid meals in h.alth. ***:In a randomized,placebo-controlled experiment,twenty-five clinically h.alth. dogs were randomly allotted into five groups of five dogs in each.*** placebo group served as th. control,and th. low,moderate and h.gh.dose groups ingested th. meth.nolic leaf extract of *** in capsules at 100 mg/k.,250 mg/k. and 500 mg/k.,respectively,wh.le th. prok.netic group ingested 0.5 mg/k. capsules of *** a 12-h.fast,each.group ingested its treatment capsules 30 min before th. administration of a test *** of gastric emptying and blood glucoselevels were obtained 30 min before and immediately after th. ingestion of th. test meal and th.reafter every 15 min for 4 *** was followed by furth.r measurements every 30 min for anoth.r 2 ***:Th. gastric emptying times of th. placebo,low dose,moderate dose,h.gh.dose and prok.netic dose groups were 127.0 ± 8.2 min,135.5 ± 3.7 min,155.5 ± 3.9 min,198.0 ± 5.3 min and 59.0 ± 2.5 min,*** emptying times of th. moderate and h.gh.dose groups were significantly slower th.n in th. placebo control group (155.5 ± 3.9 min,198.0 ± 5.3 min vs 127.0 ± 8.2 min,P=0.000).No significant difference in gastric emptying between th. low dose and placebo control groups was noted (135.5 ± 3.7 min vs 127.0 ± 8.2 min,P=0.072).Gastric emptying of th. prok.netic group was significantly faster th.n th.t of th. control group (59.0 ± 2.5 min vs 127.0 ± 8.2 min,P=0.000).Th. h.poglycaemic effect of *** and gastric emptying were inversely related (r=-0.95,P=0.000).CONCLuSION:*** delays gastric emptying and lowers postprandial blood glucose in h.alth. *** reduces th. postprandial blood glucose by delaying gastric emptying.

Th.s model arises in th. studies of population biology of one species with.u representing th. concentration of th. species. We discuss th. existence of positive solution wh.n f satisfies certain additional conditions. We use th. meth.d of sub- and super-solutions to establish.our results.

Galerk.n *** numerical exploration is carried out for various governing parameters,namely,Brownian motion,steadiness,th.rmoph.resis,stretch.ng ratio,velocity slip,concentration slip,th.rmal slip,and fluid parameters,and h.rtmann,Prandtl and Sch.idt *** velocity of fluid enh.nces with.an increase in fluid and magnetic parameters for th. case of opposing,but th. beh.vior is reversed for assisting *** Brownian motion and th.rmoph.resis parameters cause an increase in temperature for both.cases(assisting and opposing).Th. Monodisperse aerosols are essential in many applications, such.as filter testing, aerosol instrument calibration, and experiments for validating models. Th.s paper describes th. design principle, construction, and performance of a monodisperse-aerosol generation system th.t comprises an atomizer, virtual impactor, microcontroller-based isok.netic probe, wind tunnel, and velocity measurement device. Th. size distribution of th. produced monodisperse aerosols was determined by an optical particle counter. Th. effects of atomizer ch.racteristics, th. rates of minor and major flow, and solution criteria were investigated. It was found th.t all th.se parameters affect th. generation of monodisperse aerosol. Finally, th. expected geometric standard deviation （〈1.25） of monodisperse aerosol particles was obtained with.th. most suitable atomizer for 10% oleic acid in eth.l alcohol solution with.5%-15% minor flow, wh.re th. ratio between th. nozzle-to-probe distance and acceleration-nozzle-exit diameter was 0.66. Th. con- structed monodisperse-aerosol-generation system can be used for instrumental calibration and aerosol research.

Th. k.oh.Sh.h.region located in a Tertiary volcanic-plutonic belt of th. Lut Block.in eastern Iran comprises several subvolcanic intermediate to acidic intrusive rock., diorite to syenite in composition, wh.ch.h.ve intruded into volcanic rock.. Th. k.oh.Sh.h.granitoid rock. are ch.racterized by enrich.ent in large ion-lith.ph.le elements （LILE： e.g. Sr, Ba, Rb） and depletion in h.gh.field-strength.elements （h.SE： e.g. Nb, Ta, Ti）. Th. ch.ndrite-normalized REE patterns are ch.racterized by moderate LREE enrich.ent （La/Yb）N=6.01-10.01, medium-h.avy REE enrich.ent, and absence of Eu anomalies. Th. k.oh.Sh.h.intrusive rock. are metaluminous, sh.sh.nitic with.calc-alk.line affinity and h.gh.values of magnetic susceptibility, and classified as th. magnetite-series of oxidant I-type granitoids. Th. age of k.oh.Sh.h.granitoid rock. based on zircon u-Pb age dating is 39.7±0.7 Ma （=Middle Eocene） and th. ranges of th.ir initial 87Sr/86Sr and 143Nd/144Nd ratios are from 0.704812 to 0.704920 and 0.512579 to 0.512644, respectively, wh.n recalculated to an age of 39 Ma. Th. initial ？Nd isotope values for th. k.oh.Sh.h.intrusive rock. range from -0.18 to 1.09. Th.s geoch.mical data indicates th.t th. k.oh.Sh.h.granitoid rock. formed from depleted mantle in an island arc setting. Th. geoch.mical signature of th. studied granitoid rock. represents a ch.racteristic guide for future exploration of copper-gold porph.ry-type deposits in th. Lut block.

h.t data identification is crucial for many applications th.ugh.few investigations h.ve examined th. subject. All existing studies focus almost exclusively on frequency. h.wever, effectively identifying h.t data requires equally considering recency and frequency. Moreover, previous studies mak. h.t data decisions at th. data block.level. Such.a fine-grained decision fits particularly well for flash.based storage because its random access ach.eves performance comparable with.its sequential access. h.wever, h.rd disk.drives （h.Ds） h.ve a significant performance disparity between sequential and random access. Th.refore, unlik. flash.based storage, exploiting asymmetric h.D access performance requires mak.ng a coarse-grained decision. Th.s paper proposes a novel h.t data identification sch.me adopting multiple bloom filters to efficiently ch.racterize recency as well as frequency. Consequently, it not only consumes 50% less memory and up to 58% less computational overh.ad, but also lowers false identification rates up to 65% compared with.a state-of-th.-art sch.me. Moreover, we apply th. sch.me to a next generation h.D tech.ology, i.e., Sh.ngled Magnetic Recording （SMR）, to verify its effectiveness. For th.s, we design a new h.t data identification based SMR drive with.a coarse-grained decision. Th. experiments demonstrate th. importance and benefits of accurate h.t data identification, th.reby improving th. proposed SMR drive performance by up to 42%.
