The correlation of microstructure and mag.etic properties in Sm(Co_(bal)Fe_(0.1)Cu_(0.1)Zr_(0.033))_(6.93) mag.ets solution-treated at different temperatures was systematically investig.ted. It is found that the mag.ets solution-treated at 1219℃ possess a sing.e 1:7 H phase, exhibiting.the homog.neous cellular structure during.further ag.ng.treatment, leading.to the optimum mag.etic properties. However, for the mag.ets solution-treated at 1211 and 1223℃,2:17 H or 1:5 H secondary phase will also form besides 1:7 H main phase, which cannot transform into cellular structure,thus deteriorating.the mag.etic properties g.eatly. The irreversible mag.etization investig.tions with recoil loops also propose a non-uniform pinning.in the mag.ets induced by the secondary precipitates. At proper solution temperature, Zr is supposed to occupy the Fe-Fe dumbbell sites in the form of Zr-vacancy pairs, leading.to the minimum c/a ratio and thus stabilizing.the 1:7 H phase. Finally,Sm(Co_(bal)Fe_(0.1)Cu_(0.1)Zr_(0.033))_(6.93) mag.ets with the maximum energ. product and intrinsic coercivity at 550℃ up to 60.73 k.·m^(-3) and 553.88 k.·m^(-1) were prepared by powder metallurg. method.

The Hig. Intensity g.mma-ray Source（HIg.） at Duk. University is an accelerator-driven Compton g.mma-ray source, providing.hig. flux g.mma-ray beam from 1 MeV to 100 MeV for photo-nuclear physics *** HIg. facility operates three accelerators, a linac pre-injector（0.16 g.V）, a booster injector（0.16—1.2 g.V）,and an electron storag. ring.0.24—1.2 g.V）. Because of the proximity of the booster injector to the storag. ring. the mag.etic field of the booster dipoles close to the ring.can sig.ificantly alter the closed orbit in the storag. ring.being.operated in the low energ. reg.on. This type of orbit distortion can be a problem for certain precision experiments which demand a hig. deg.ee of energ. consistency of the g.mma-ray beam. This energ. consistency can be achieved by maintaining.consistent aiming.of the g.mma-ray beam, and therefore a steady electron beam orbit and ang.e at the Compton collision point. To overcome the booster leak.g. field problem, we have developed an orbit compensation scheme. This scheme is developed using.two fast orbit correctors and implemented as a feedforward which is operated transparently tog.ther with the slow orbit feedback.system. In this paper, we will describe the development of this leak.g. field compensation scheme, and report the measurement results, which demonstrate the effectiveness of the scheme.

Photometric observations in Sloan g.and i′ bands of W UMa binaries NSVS 4340949,T-Dra0–00959,g.C 03950–00707,NSVS 4665041,NSVS 4803568,MM Peg.MM Com and NSVS4751449 are *** lig.t curve solutions revealed that the components of each targ.t are of g.and k.spectral *** binaries of the sample have middle-contact config.rations whose fillout factors are within the rang. 0.2–*** only exception is NSVS 4751449 which is in deeper contact（fillout factor of 0.55）.It precisely obeys the relation between mass ratio and fillout factor for deep,low mass ratio overcontact *** of the eclipses of almost all targ.ts（except MM Peg.is an occultation and their photometric mass ratios and solutions could be accepted with *** found that the targ.t components have almost equal temperatures but differ considerably in size and *** components of the partially-eclipsed MM Peg.have close *** solutions reveal that NSVS 4340949,T-Dra0–00959,NSVS 4803568 and MM Com are of W subtype while g.C 03950–00707,NSVS 4665041,MM Peg.and NSVS 4751449 are of A *** subclassification is well-determined for all totallyeclipsed *** targ.ts confirm the trends in which W-subtype systems have smaller periods and lower temperatures than A subtype binaries.

To show paleontolog.cal characteristics of the Olenek.an-Anislan boundary beds in the Russian Far East, a review of new data on the Upper Olenek.an and Lower Anisian biostratig.aphy of South Primorye is g.ven on the basis of five sections： g.lyi Cape, Petrovk. River, Zhitk.v Peninsula, Tchernyschew Bay and Atlasov Cape, using.new ammonoid, brachiopod and conodont finding.. The most representative ammonoid assemblag. at the base of the Anisian was discovered in the Ussuriphyllites amurensis Zone （10.6 m thick. of the Atlasov Cape Section： Parasag.ceras sp. nov., Prionitidae g.n. et sp. nov. , Ussuriphyllites amurensis （k.parisova）（dominant）, Meg.phyllites atlasoviensis Zak.arov, Leiophyllites praematurus k.parisova, Leiophyllites sp. , Ussurites sp. , Paradanubites sp. indet., Paracrochordiceras sp. nov., Prohung.rites popowi k.parisova, Arctohung.rites primoriensis Zak.arov, A. solimani （Toula）, Salterites sp. indet. （g.g.ntic shell）, and Tropig.strites sublachontanus Zak.arov. Conodonts Neospathodus cf. homeri （Bender） were found in the lower part of the Ussuriphyllites amurensis Zone of the Atlasov Cape. The Atlasov Cape seems to be one of the very promising.sections of the Russian Far East for detailed investig.tion of the Olenek.an-Anisian boundary.

We present photometric observations in Sloan filters g., i′of the eclipsing.W UMa stars USNOA2.0 1350-17365531, V471 Cas, V479 Lac and V560 Lac. The sinusoidal-lik. O-C diag.am of V471 Cas indicates the presence of a third body with mass 0.12 M_⊙(a red dwarf) at distance 897 R_⊙. The O-C diag.am of V479 Lac reveals a period decrease of d P/dt =-1.69 × 10-6d yr-1. The results of the lig.t curve solutions are:(i) the targ.ts are overcontact binaries with small fill-out factors;(ii) their components are F–k.stars, comparable in size, whose temperature differences are below 80 k.(iii) all targ.ts underg. partial eclipses and to limit the possible mass ratios we carried out two-step q-search analysis. The targ.t g.obal parameters(luminosities, radii, masses) were obtained on the basis of their g.ia distances and the results of our lig.t curve solutions. The obtained total mass of V560 Lac turns out to be smaller than the lower mass limit for presently k.own W UMa binaries of 1.0-1.2 M_⊙, i.e. this targ.t is a peculiar overcontact system.

A problem of nanocatalyst improvement is considered. The existence of irreg.larities at the surface of nanoparticle leads to the increasing.of the surface/volume ratio and, corresponding.y, to the improvement of the catalytic activity. But this impurity g.ves one an additional effect due to the chang. of the electronic density at the surface. We sug.est simple model for the description of this effect. The model allows one to find the discrete spectrum of the Schrding.r operator for nanoparticle. Due to this impurity induced bound states the electron density increases near the surface. It leads to the increase of the catalytic activity of nanoparticles with surface impurities.

AIM:To establish whether activation of adenosine type-3 receptors(A3Rs)and inhibition of interleuk.n- 1β-induced inflammation is beneficial in combination with antibiotic therapy to increase survival of mice challeng.d with anthrax spores. METHODS:DBA/2 mice were challeng.d with Bacillus anthracis spores of the toxig.nic Sterne strain 43F2. Survival of animals was monitored for 15 *** treatment(50 mg.k.,once daily,intraperitoneally) was initiated at day+1 simultaneously with the ad- ministration of inhibitors,and continued for 10 *** doses(2.5 mg.k. and 12.5 mg.k.)of acetyl-tyrosylvalyl-alanyl-aspartyl-chloromethylk.tone(YVAD)and three doses(0.05,0.15 and 0.3 mg.k.)of 1-[2-Chloro- 6-[[(3-iodophenyl)methyl]amino]-9H-purin-9-yl]-1- deoxy-N-methyl-β-D-ribofuranuronamide(Cl-IB-MECA) were *** received YVAD on days 1-4,and Cl-IB-MECA on days 1-10 once daily,subcutaneously. Human lung.epithelial cells in culture were challeng.d with spores or edema toxin and the effects of IB-MECAon phosphorylation of Ak. and g.neration of cAMP were tested. RESULTS:We showed that the outcome of antibiotic treatment in a murine anthrax model could be substantially improved by co-administration of the caspase-1/4 inhibitor YVAD and the A3R ag.nist *** treatment with these substances and ciprofloxacin resulted in up to 90%synerg.stic *** untreated mice died,and antibiotic alone protected only 30% of *** conclude that both substances targ.t the aberrant host sig.aling.that underpins anthrax mortality. CONCLUSION:Our finding. sug.est new possibilities for combination therapy of anthrax with antibiotics,A3R ag.nists and caspase-1 inhibitors.
