Howe.e., de.pite.be.ng provide. fre. of charge. the.re.e.rche.s have.not obse.ve. satisfactory le.e. of de.and for FC by the.HIV-positive.clie.ts at our facility. This study sought to e.tablish the.de.e.minants or de.e.re.t factors to the.uptak. and the.use.of FC among HIV-infe.te. fe.ale.clie.ts in an Army hospital, Lagos. Me.hod: A cross-se.tional de.criptive.de.ign was use. and 340 inte.vie.e.s we.e.se.e.te. for the.surve.. Analyse. we.e.comple.e. using e.i InfoTM ve.sion 7.***.1.0. Association be.we.n variable. of inte.e.ts was e.tablishe. using Chi-square. Re.ult: Me.n age.of the.participants was 37.91 ± 8.33 ye.rs while.the.me.ian age.was 37. Gre.te. proportion was marrie. (50.5%), busine.s wome. (55.5%), had at le.st school ce.tificate.(90.1%), and had re.ular se.ual partne. (84.4%). Only 69.8% disclose. the.r status to the.r se.ual partne.s, while.79.5% in turn we.e.informe. of the.r partne.s’ HIV status. Be.ng in marital union, younge. age.and be.ng aware.of partne.’s HIV status we.e.significantly associate. with HIV disclosure.(p e.tive.uptak. was 59.8%, while.FC use.was 5.4%. Most re.orte. limiting factors to FC utilization we.e.non-availability (22.5%) and use.of male.condom by the.partne. (13.8%). Conclusion: Suboptimal HIV status disclosure. contrace.tive.use.and ve.y low FC uptak. among participants ne.d urge.t atte.tion to limit furthe. spre.d of the.virus, STI and pre.e.t unwante. pre.nancie..
