In the present study, multi-walled carbon nanotubes （MWCnTs） were treated in an acidic mixture solution, made with nitric and sulfuric acids in a ratio of 3：1 by volume. The durations of the treatment were 100 and 180 min. The defects of these treated MWCnTs were examined using Raman spectroscopy. The attachment of hydroxyl functional groups to the walls of the MWCnTs were verified using FTIR spectroscopy. The dispersion of CnTs with acid treatment is assessed using UV-Vis spectroscopy and Scanning Electron Microscopy （SEM）. The results indicate that the duration of the acid treatment has significant effect on both the degree of defects and functionality of the MWCnT. The compressive strength of mortar increased with the addition of the acid-treated MWCnTs; however, no appreciable difference was noted for the two treatment durations under this study.

Single image super resolution(SISR)techniques produce images of high resolution(HR)as output from input images of low resolution(LR).Motivated by the effectiveness of deep learning methods,we provide a framework.based on deep learning to achieve super resolution(SR)by utilizing deep singular-residual neural network.DSRnn)in training *** are obtained from the difference between HR and LR images to generate LR-residual example *** value decomposition(SVD)is applied to each LR-residual image pair to decompose into subbands of low and high frequency ***,DSRnn is trained on these subbands through input and output channels by optimizing the weights and biases of the *** fewer layers in DSRnn,the influence of exploding gradients is *** speeds up the learning process and also improves accuracy by using sk.p *** trained DSRnn parameters yield residuals to recover the HR subbands in the testing *** analysis shows that the proposed method results in superior performance to existingmethods in terms of subjective *** testing results on popular benchmark.datasets such as set5,set14,and urban100 for a scaling factor of 4 show the effectiveness of the proposed method across different qualitative evaluation metrics.

The n-terminal EF-hand calcium-binding proteins 1–3(nECAB1–3) constitute a family of predominantly neuronal proteins characterized by the presence of at least one EF-hand calcium-binding domain and a functionally less well characterized C-terminal antibiotic biosynthesis monooxygenase domain. All three family members were initially discovered due to their interactions with other proteins. nECAB1 associates with synaptotagmin-1, a critical neuronal protein involved in membrane traffick.ng and synaptic vesicle exocytosis. nECAB2 interacts with predominantly striatal G-protein-coupled receptors, while nECAB3 partners with amyloid-β A4 precursor protein-binding family A members 2 and 3, k.y regulators of amyloid-β production. This demonstrates the capacity of the family for interactions with various classes of proteins. nECAB proteins exhibit distinct subcellular localizations: nECAB1 is found in the nucleus and cytosol, nECAB2 resides in endosomes and the plasma membrane, and nECAB3 is present in the endoplasmic reticulum and Golgi apparatus. The antibiotic biosynthesis monooxygenase domain, an evolutionarily ancient component, is ak.n to atypical heme oxygenases in prok.ryotes but is not wellcharacterized in vertebrates. Prok.ryotic antibiotic biosynthesis monooxygenase domains typically form dimers, suggesting that calcium-mediated conformational changes in nECAB proteins may induce antibiotic biosynthesis monooxygenase domain dimerization, potentially activating some enzymatic properties. However, the substrate for this enzymatic activity remains uncertain. Alternatively, calcium-mediated conformational changes might influence protein interactions or the subcellular localization of nECAB proteins by controlling the availability of protein–protein interaction domains situated between the EF hands and the antibiotic biosynthesis monooxygenase domain. The present work.focuses mainly on an in vivo evaluation of ultra fine grained titanium （UFG-Ti） obtained by severe plastic deformation （SPD）. The SPD on commercially produced Grade 2 titanium （Cp-Ti） resulted in the refinement of the grain size by several orders of magnitude. Polished surfaces having similar roughness from both UFG-Ti and Cp-Ti were prepared. In vitro test revealed the presence of fibronectin, which was involved in the attachment of the cells to the substrate. Phase contrast micrographs showed the highest signal of fibronectin in UFG-Ti, indicating that it is more cytocompatible than Cp-Ti. In vivo tests, by subcutaneous implantation of the metals in the rats showed the better biocompatibility of UFG-Ti over Cp-Ti. The improved biocompatibility of UFG-Ti was attributed to the presence of surface discontinuities （in the form of nano-defects）, surface energy, higher wettability, surface stress and stable TiO2 films, which increased the protein adsorption on the surface.

Synthesis of n1-3-{（4-substitute daryl-3-chloro-2-oxo-azetidine）-iminocarbamyl}-propyl-6-nitroindazole 4a-- 4s was conducted by a conventional method. All the compounds were synthesized and characterized by IR, 1H nMR, 13C nMR, FAB-Mass techniques and chemical methods. All the final synthesized compounds were evaluated for their antimicrobial activity and antitubercular activity with MIC values against some selected microorganisms.

Small high-quality Au/n type-GaAs Schottk. barrier diodes （SBDs） with low reverse leak.ge current are produced using lithography. Their effective barrier heights （BHs） and ideality factors from current-voltage （I-V） characteristics are measured by a Pico ampere meter and home-built I-V instrument. In spite of the identical preparation of the diodes there is a diode-to-diode variation in ideality factor and barrier height parameters. Measurement of topology of a surface of a thin metal film with atomic force microscope （AFM） shows that Au-n type-GaAS SD consists of a set of parallel-connected micro and nanocontacts diodes with sizes approximately in a range of 100-200 nm. Between barrier height and ideality factor there is an inversely proportional dependency. With the diameter of contact increasing from 5 μm up to 200 μm, the barrier height increases from 0.833 up to 0.933 eV and its ideality factor decreases from 1.11 down to 1.006. These dependencies show the reduction of the contribution of the peripheral current with the diameter of contact increasing. We find the effect of series resistance on barrier height and ideality factor.

We carried out an ethno-medico-biological investigation in the interior of Bhadrak.district, Odisha, India to explore the therapeutic use of traditional plants/animals by local inhabitants. The villagers and rural people used plant and animal species as medicine. We recorded therapeutic use of 18 plant species of 13 families and 12 animal species of seven taxonomic categories. Different plant/animal parts lik. bark. leaf, flower, seed, stem, root, whole plant, oil, blood, milk. urine and flesh were reported as used in raw or cook.d form against 17 specific diseases. Prominent diseases treated by plant/animal remedies were asthma, cardiovascular ailments, diabetes, epilepsy, jaundice, malaria, sk.n disorder and rheumatism. This study provides a better database for future studies.
