In this paper, we present a neighborhood following primal-dual interior-point algorithm for solving symmetric cone convex quadratic programming problems, where the objective function is a convex quadratic function and the feasible set is the intersection of an affine subspace and a symmetric cone attached to a Euclidean Jordan algebra. The algorithm is based on the [13] broad class of commutative search directions for cone of semidefinite matrices, extended by [18] to arbitrary symmetric cones. Despite the fact that the neighborhood is wider, which allows the iterates move towards optimality with longer steps, the complexity iteration bound remains as the same result of Schmieta and Alizadeh for symmetric cone optimization problems.

To investigate biostratigraphy of Albian sediments(k.zhdumi Formation)in the Zagros Basin,280 samples in four sections were prepared which are nominated as Murshan-e-Bala,Fahliyane-Pain,k.pon and *** distribution of identified foraminifers confirms well developed orbitolinids which are associated with other Albian benthic foraminifers in all studied *** orbitolinids are recognized in surrounding strata[Dariyan(at the base which is mark.d by an oxidized zone)and Sarvak.Formations(on the top,as gradtional contact)]as well as the k.zhdumi *** biostratigraphic data show that Early Albian is mark.d by the presence of Hemicyclammina sigali,which co-occurs with Mesorbitolina texana and Mesorbitolina subconcava,whereas Conicorbitolina conica and Meorbitolina parva support Late Albian age of the studied *** algae are associated with both benthic faunal *** plank.ons occur in the studied sections which are identified as Favusella washitensis and Calcisphaerula inomminata *** stratigraphic position of plank.ons actually indicates vertical displacement in the sedimentary basin during Albian *** associated Albian pelagic foraminifera are identified which are obviously recognized in three sections of the k.zhdumi *** presence of pelagic species in the study section of the k.zhdumi Formation indicates basement faulting during the Albian period.

The accurate prediction of the visual comfort zone in an indoor environment is difficult as it depends on many *** is especially the case for large compact urban areas in which the density and shadow from neighboring buildings can limit the accessible daylighting in indoor *** paper investigates the satisfaction range for illuminance regarding indoor air temperature in office buildings and the significant parameters affecting this range in six office buildings in Tehran,*** comfort has been evaluated by a subjective survey(509 total responses)and field *** questionnaires were filled out in 146 and 109 rooms in summer and winter,*** results show that the illuminance should not be less than 550 lx,while illuminance between 600 and 650 lx provides the highest satisfaction *** satisfaction with lighting level is affected by individual parameters such as age,type of activity,and environmental parameters such as window orientation,external obscurations,and season.A relationship was observed between lighting level satisfaction and thermal condition acceptance,and the overall comfort depends more on thermal conditions than the lighting level.

The use of nanoparticles is considered promising for enhanced oil recovery(EOR),especially when they are combined with ***,the combination of nano-sized material with surface-active ionic liquids(SAILs)is an unexplored EOR *** this work.the advantages of mixing Al2O3 nanoparticles with the SAIL 1-dodecylpyridinium chloride were *** nanofluids in brine could only be achieved using the polymer polyvinylpyrrolidone(PVP)as a stabilizing *** was found that the addition of nanoparticles(and PVP)to the surfactant formulation helped to:slightly increase its viscosity,enhance its water-oil interfacial tension(IFT)reduction capacity,and reduce the adsorption on carbonate rock.(adsorption on sandstone was found to be excessive).IFT was selected as target property to minimize for the design of EOR *** flooding tests were carried out with surfactant(0.5 wt%[C_(12)py]Cl),surfactant-polymer(0.5 wt%[C_(12)py]Cl,1.0 wt%PVP)and nanofluid(0.05 wt%Al_(2)O_(3),1.0 wt%PVP,0.5 wt%[C12py]Cl)formulations in brine(0.5 wt%NaCl).Additional oil recoveries of 3.4%,7.4%and 12.0%OOIP were achieved,respectively,the nanofluid formulation being the most promising for the ***,it was found capable of changing the wettability of carbonate rock. from oilwet to *** significance of this work.lies in showing the new possibilities resulting from the combination of SAILs and nanoparticles for EOR,specifically the combination of[C_(12)py]Cl with Al_(2)O_(3).

Crude oil and source rock.samples from one of the main oilfields of the Abadan Plain, Zagros, Iran were analyzed geochemically. Rock.Eval pyrolysis was conducted on k.zhdumi(Upper Cretaceous) and Gadvan(Lower Cretaceous) formations, which are the probable source rock. for the oil in the region. The results indicated that the k.zhdumi Formation can be classified as a fair-to-excellent source rock. while the Gadvan Formation can be identified as having poor-to-good source rock.in the basin. Based on the cross-plots of HI versus OI and S2 versus TOC, types Ⅱ and Ⅲ k.rogen were identified from studied source samples in the area. Determination of the main fraction percentages of the Sarvak.and Fahliyan crude oils represented that the oils from the Sarvak.reservoir are paraffinic-naphthenic and aromaticintermediate, whilst that from the Fahliyan reservoir is paraffinic and paraffinic-naphthenic. Biomark.r ratios of the saturated fractions of oil from both reservoirs indicate that the source rock. formed in reducing marine environments with carbonate-shale lithology. Furthermore, biomark.r data helped to distinguish the degree of biodegradation in the studied oils. According to geochemical analysis, oil samples from the Fahliyan reservoir were generated at a higher thermal maturity than the Sarvak.reservoir samples.

Congestion pricing is seen as an effective policy to address traffic congestion. In such policies where money, people and authorities are involved, the success generally hinges upon two factors： equity （being fair） and accept- ability （to both people and authorities）. The primary con- cern is the equity, for which ＂tradable credit scheme （TCS）＂ has been introduced and extensively studied in the literature. Nevertheless, due to the com- plexity of the trading schemes, the TCS has yet to find any foot in the real world. To this end, a novel idea of rewarding has substituted the trading component to be k.own as toll-and-subsidy scheme （TSS）. The idea is to charge the drivers on some roads （toll） while rewarding them to use other alternative--and perhaps underutilized-- roads （subsidy）. The research of the TSS is in its infancy stage. The problem to be tack.ed in this study is as follows： Given a set of roads constituting a cordon line around the central business district （CBD） or across a screen line, how much toll or subsidy should be assigned to each road？ The problem is first transformed into a capacitated traffic assignment problem. We employ a solution method based on augmenting the travel time of roads up to the level at which the traffic volumes do not exceed some target rates. A real dataset from the city of Winnipeg, Canada, is used as a pilot study. We then discuss policy-related applications of the TSS. It is proved in the literature that one can obtainoptimal TSSs for various objectives and considerations. To this end, the non-negativity of the toll values is relaxed which results in a valid toll set. Nevertheless, the compu- tational time is found to be of highest significance. Our method differs in the fact that the traffic volumes are bounded from the above and it is quite affordable. The CFD simulation accuracy mostly depends on the appropriate setting of boundary conditions and numerical simulation *** study shows the influence of two types of boundary condition settings on the CFD simulation results of Double-Sk.n Facade(DSF)for a specific *** two boundary settings are the constant temperature on the DSF surfaces called Boundary A,and Boundary B is defined via solar radiation using the Discrete Ordinate radiation Model(DOM).The paper verified both the numerical simulations using the experimental *** the numerical results of two types of boundaries with experimental data shows that both cases underestimated the values lower than 5.2 k.and 0.1 m/s for the temperature and velocity respectively at the regarded measured *** A gives more accurate temperature prediction results,while Boundary B shows velocity magnitude closer to the measurements in the middle height of the cavity;the average temperature and velocity differences between the two boundary types are 0.6 k.and 0.003 m/s respectively which are ***,the selection of boundary conditions depends on study purposes,however,when the DSF is equipped with blinds and if there is not enough data in hand but the exact value of solar irradiation,using the Boundary B approach is suggested;it can provide reasonable results associated with multi-type of thermal boundary conditions at the same ***,if the goal is to investigate the flow pattern in the DSF,Boundary B is argued to perform better than the constant temperature boundary condition.

Tourism is rapidly becoming a sustainable pathway toward economic prosperity for host countries and communities. Recent advances in information and communications technology, the smartphone, the Internet and Wi-Fi have given a boost to the tourism industry. The city bus tour （CBT） service is one of the most successful businesses in the tourism industry. However, there exists no smart decision support system determining the most efficient way to plan the itinerary of a CBT. In this research, we report on the ongoing development of a mobile application （app） and a website for tourists, hoteliers and travel agents to connect with city bus operators and book.purchase the best CBT both in terms of cost and time. Firstly, the CBT problem is formulated as an asymmetric sequential three-stage arc routing problem. All places of interest （PoI） and pick.p/dropout points are identified with arcs of the network.（instead of nodes）, each of which can be visited at least once （instead of exactly once）. Secondly, the resulting pure integer programming （IP） problem is solved using a leading optimization soft- ware k.own as General Algebraic Modeling System （GAMS）. The GAMS code developed for this project returns：（1） the exact optimal solution identifying the footprints of the city bus relative to all the arcs forming the minimal cost network. （2） the augmenting paths corre- sponding to the pick.p stage, the PoI visiting stage and the drop-off stage. Finally, we demonstrate the applicability of the mobile app/website via a pilot study in the city of Melbourne （Australia）. All the computations relative to the initial tests show that the ability of the app to answer users＇ inquiries in a fraction of a minute.

Precipitation and deposition of asphaltene have undesirable effects on the petroleum industry by increasing operational costs due to reduction of well productivity as well as catalyst *** we propose a reliable model for quantitative estimation of asphaltene *** equation is the most powerful and popular model for accurate prediction of asphaltene precipitated out of solution in crudes without regard to complex nature of *** employed a new mathematical-based approach k.own as alternating conditional expectation(ACE)technique for combining results of different scaling models in order to increase the accuracy of final *** of three well-k.own scaling equations,including Rassamdana(RE),Hu(HU),and Ashoori(AS),are input to ACE and the final output is produced through a nonlinear combination of scaling *** proposed methodology is capable of significantly increasing the precision of final estimation via a divide-andconquer principle in which ACE functions as the *** indicate the superiority of the proposed method compared with other individual scaling equation models.
