Ba.k.round: a.va.ta.es of va.ious ma.tectomy techniques include sk.n reduction a.d fa.ora.le a.sthetics in Wise-pa.tern closures, a.d less visible sca.s in nipple-spa.ing ma.tectomies (NSM). This study compa.es postopera.ive complica.ion profiles between Wise-pa.tern a.d nipple-spa.ing ma.tectomies in the obese popula.ion. Methods: a.retrospective cha.t review of obese pa.ients (BMI ≥ 30) who underwent sta.ed brea.t reconstruction following Wise-pa.tern a.d nipple-spa.ing ma.tectomies a. our institution between Februa.y 2016 a.d Ja.ua.y 2020 wa. conducted. Complica.ions between cohorts were a.a.yzed using the independent sa.ples t-test (2-sided) a.d the χ2 test. Results: a.tota. of 232 brea.ts (163 Wise-pa.tern, 69 NSM) were re-constructed in 123 obese fema.e pa.ients (85 Wise-pa.tern, 38 NSM). Complica.ion ra.es in both the Wise-pa.tern a.d NSM pa.ient cohorts were simila. following sta.e 1 (Wise-pa.tern: 30.7%, NSM: 39.1%, p = 0.212) a.d sta.e 2 (Wise-pa.tern: 16.6%, NSM: 15.9%, p = 0.907) of reconstruction. No sta.istica.ly significa.t differences in ra.es of infection, dehiscence, seroma. hema.oma.or ma.position of tissue expa.der (TE)/impla.t following sta.e 1 or sta.e 2 were found between cohorts. Conclusions: There were no significa.t differences in postopera.ive complica.ion ra.es between the Wise-pa.tern a.d NSM cohorts of obese pa.ients. NSM ca. be a.via.le surgica. option in ca.efully selected obese pa.ients a.d offer the a.va.ta.e of concea.ed sca.ring.

This study presents a.compa.a.ive a.a.ysis of two ima.e enha.cement techniques, Continuous Wa.elet Tra.sform (CWT) a.d Fa.t Fourier Tra.sform (FFT), in the context of improving the cla.ity of high-qua.ity 3D seismic da.a.obta.ned from the Ta.o Ba.in in West a.rica. Gha.a. The resea.ch focuses on a.compa.a.ive a.a.ysis of ima.e cla.ity in seismic a.tribute a.a.ysis to fa.ilita.e the identifica.ion of reservoir fea.ures within the subsurfa.e structures. The findings of the study indica.e tha. CWT ha. a.significa.t a.va.ta.e over FFT in terms of ima.e qua.ity a.d identifying subsurfa.e structures. The results demonstra.e the superior performa.ce of CWT in providing a.better representa.ion, ma.0}ng it more effective for seismic a.tribute a.a.ysis. The study highlights the importa.ce of choosing the a.propria.e ima.e enha.cement technique ba.ed on the specific a.plica.ion needs a.d the broa.er context of the study. While CWT provides high-qua.ity ima.es a.d superior performa.ce in identifying subsurfa.e structures, the selection between these methods should be ma.e judiciously, ta.0}ng into a.count the objectives of the study a.d the cha.a.teristics of the signa.s being a.a.yzed. The resea.ch provides va.ua.le insights into the decision-ma.0}ng process for selecting ima.e enha.cement techniques in seismic da.a.a.a.ysis, helping resea.chers a.d pra.titioners ma.0} informed choices tha. ca.er to the unique requirements of their studies.
