Transition metal selenides have attracted great interest in electrochemical energy storage applications because of their good electrochemical activity and conductivity ***,we reported the metal molybdenum selenide(M Se/Mo_(3)Se_(4)(M:Zn,Mn,and Ni))electrode materials on their morphological and electrochemical properties by varying the metal ions via a facile hydrothermal *** effects of the structural,morphological,and surface area properties of the prepared powder materials on their electrochemical performance were *** to the hierarchical porous and unique interconnected structure,the nick.l molybdenum selenide nanosheet spheres(NMS NSSs)-based electrode material delivered an excellent specific capacity value of 252 mAh g^(-1) at a current density of 1 Ag^(-1).Moreover,the optimized NMS NSSs electrode exhibited outstanding cycling stability with a capacity retention of 80%and a corresponding coulombic efficiency of 99%after 80,000 ***,a pouch-type hybrid supercapacitor(HSC)device was assembled using NMS NSSs material as a positive electrode and activated carbon as a negative electrode in 1 M aqueous k.H ***,the assembled HSC device exhibited superior energy and power density values as well as magnificent cycling *** real-time practical applications,light-emitting diodes and a digital display were powered using two series-connected HSC ***,the obtained tremendous results strongly suggest that the NiSe/Mo_(3)Se_(4) NSSs-based materials could be a promising electrode for ultralong-life energy storage applications.

AIM:To explore associations between nonalcoholic fatty liver disease(NAFLD)and benign gastrointestinal and pancreato-biliary ***:Patient demographics,diagnoses,and hospital outcomes from the 2010 Nationwide Inpatient Sample were *** liver diseases were identified using International Classification of Diseases,the 9thRevision,Clinical Modification *** with NAFLD were compared to those with other chronic liver diseases for the endpoints of total hospital charges,disease severity,and hospital *** stepwise logistic regression analyses to assess for the independent association of demographic,comorbidity,and diagnosis variables with the event of NAFLD(vs other chronic liver diseases)were also ***:Of 7800441 discharge records,32347(0.4%)and 271049(3.5%)included diagnoses of NAFLD and other chronic liver diseases,*** patients were younger(average 52.3 years vs55.3 years),more often female(58.8%vs 41.6%),less often black.9.6%vs 18.6%),and were from higher income areas(23.7%vs 17.7%)compared to counterparts with other chronic liver diseases(all P<0.0001).Diabetes mellitus(43.4%vs 28.9%),hypertension(56.9%vs 47.6%),morbid obesity(36.9%vs 8.0%),dyslipidemia(37.9%vs 15.6%),and the metabolic syndrome(28.75%vs 8.8%)were all more common among NAFLD patients(all P<0.0001).The average total hospital charge($39607 vs$51665),disease severity scores,and intra-hospital mortality(0.9%vs6.0%)were lower among NALFD patients compared to those with other chronic liver diseases(all P<0.0001).Compared with other chronic liver diseases,NAFLD was significantly associated with diverticular disorders[OR=4.26(3.89-4.67)],inflammatory bowel diseases[OR=3.64(3.10-4.28)],gallstone related diseases[OR=3.59(3.40-3.79)],and benign pancreatitis[OR=2.95(2.79-3.12)]on multivariable logistic regression(all P<0.0001)when the latter disorders were the principal diagnoses on hospital *** relationships were observ

An important area of focus in complex systems development is the capability to adapt to variable runtime environmental resources and to accommodate runtime system failures. The research in this area is broadly termed as “Self Healing” and has recently aroused increasing attention to complex systems. Digital libraries have gained popularity because of the richer features they provide compared to traditional libraries. As more users begin to use digital libraries, addressing downtimes of these valuable resources has become a high priority. Operating and providing access to digital content to anyone, anytime from anywhere in the world, results in a continued rise of administrative overhead for system monitoring and needs continuous human intervention. Given the volume of information and the huge infrastructure of modem libraries, continuous manual system administration is quite costly and not feasible. In this paper we propose a self healing digital library system as the solution to this problem and present the approach of adding self healing capabilities to an existing digital library project, the Digital Library of India （DLI）. We also propose a self healing framework.that enables successful reuse of our approach to other architecturally similar digital library systems.

The typical problem in the mechanics of deformable solids comprises a mathematical model in the form of systems of partial differential equations or inequalities. Subsequent investigations are then concerned with analysis of the model to determine its well-posedness, followed by the development and implementation of algorithms to obtain approximate solutions to problems that are generally intractable in closed form. These processes of modelling, analysis, and computation are discussed with a focus on the behaviour of elastic-plastic bodies;these are materials which exhibit path-dependence and irreversibility in their behaviour. The resulting variational problem is an inequality that is not of standard elliptic or parabolic type. Properties of this formulation are reviewed, as are the conditions under which fully discrete approximations converge. A solution algorithm, motivated by the predictor-corrector algorithms that are common in elastoplastic problems, is presented and its convergence properties summarized. An important extension of the conventional theory is that of straingradient plasticity, in which gradients of the plastic strain appear in the formulation, and which includes a length scale not present in the conventional theory. Some recent results for strain-gradient plasticity are presented, and the work.concludes with a brief description of current investigations.

In order to improve the properties by chemical modification and to optimize the alk.li concentration, we treated Borassus fruit fine fibers with aqueous sodium hydroxide solutions of different concentra- tions. In each case, the tensile properties of the fibers were determined. The morphology of the untreated and alk.li treated fibers was observed using scanning electron microscope. The surface of the fibers became rough on alk.li treatment. The tensile properties of the fibers improved on alk.li treatment. The fibers attained maximum tensile properties when treated with 15% aqueous sodium hydroxide solution and decreased thereafter. The crystallinity index of the fibers showed a similar trend. The thermal stability of the alk.li treated fibers was found to be higher than that of untreated fibers. Further, the char content was maximum for fibers treated with alk.li having concentration of 15% and above. The chemical composition indicated that the percentageof a-cellulose was maximum when the fibers were treated with 15% aqueous sodium hydroxide solution and then decreased thereafter thus indicating the beginning of degradation of the fibers at higher concentrations. Thus, the optimum concentration of NaOH was established as 15% for alk.li treatment of the Borassus fibers.

In this communication,the electrical conductivities and thermal expansion studies of microwave sintered co-doped ceria Ce_(0.8)Y_(0.2-x)Dy_(x)O_(2-δ)(x=0,0.05,0.10,0.15 and 0.20) solid electrolyte materials for intermediate temperature solid oxide fuel cells(IT-SOFCs)synthesized by sol-gel auto-combustion method were *** sintering at 1300℃ for 30 min was used for mak.ng dense powder *** relative densities of all the samples are noticed above 95%.Raman spectrum was characterized by the presence of a very strong band near 460 cm^(-1),which along with X-ray diffraction(XRD) analysis ascertain the sample formation with a single-phase cubic fluorite *** lattice parameter values were calculated from XRD *** images show nearly uniform grains with distinct grain *** thermal expansion coefficients(TECs) are found to vary linearly with temperature and were measured in the range from 14.15 to 13.20×10^(-6)℃^(-1).The investigation on total ionic conductivity(TIC) was executed with variation in dopant concentration and relative oxygen *** impedance analysis reveals that the sample Ce_(0.80)Y_(0.10)Dy_(0.10)O_(2-δ) displays the highest TIC,i.e.,7.5×10^(-3) S·cm^(-1) at 500℃ and minimum activation energy 0.90 eV compared to *** the highest TIC and minimum activation energy,the Ce_(0.80)Y_(0.10)Dy_(0.10)O_(2-δ)might be the possible material as the solid electrolyte in intermediate temperature SOFCs.

The present work.is aimed at studying the microstructure and pitting corrosion behaviour of shielded metal arc welded high nitrogen steel made of Cromang-N electrode. Basis for selecting this electrode is to increase the solubility of nitrogen in weld metal due to high chromium and manganese content. Microscopic studies were carried out using optical microscopy(OM) and field emission scanning electron microscopy(FESEM). Energy back.scattered diffraction(EBSD) method was used to determine the phase analysis, grain size and orientation image mapping. Potentio-dynamic polarization testing was carried out to study the pitting corrosion resistance in aerated 3.5% NaCl environment using a GillAC electrochemical system. The investigation results showed that the selected Cr-Mn-N type electrode resulted in a maximum reduction in delta-ferrite and improvement in pitting corrosion resistance of the weld zone was attributed to the coarse austenite grains owing to the reduction in active sites of the austenite/delta ferrite interface and the decrease in galvanic interaction between austenite and delta-ferrite.

Honne oil(tamanu)(H),a non-edible vegetable oil is native for northwards of Northern Marianas islands and the Ryuk.u Islands in southern Japan and westward throughout *** has remained as an untapped new possible source of alternative fuel that can be used as diesel engine *** pertaining to use of vegetable oil in diesel engine with k.rosene and dimethyl carbonate(DMC)is *** present research is aimed to investigate experimentally the performance,exhaust emission and combustion characteristics of a direct injection(DI)diesel engine,typically used in agricultural sector,over the entire load range,when fuelled with neat diesel(ND)and blends of diesel fuel(D)/DMC/H/k.rosene(k..DMC/D/H/k.blends have a potential to improve the performance and emissions and to be an alternative to *** have been conducted when fuelled with H20(20%H+80%D),Hk.20%H+40%k.40%D)and Hk.5(20%H+40%k.35D+5%DMC)to Hk.15 in steps of 5%DMC k.eping H and k.percentages *** emissions(CO,HC and smok. density(SD))of fuel blend Hk.15 are found to be lowest,with SD dropping *** NOx level is slightly higher with Hk.5 to Hk.15 as compared to *** brak. thermal efficiency of Hk.5 to Hk.15 is same and it is higher than that of *** is a good trade off between NOx and *** cylinder pressure and premixed combustion phase increases as DMC content increase.
