We examine electron kinetic effects in broadband-laser-driven back-stimulated Raman scattering(BSRS)bursts using particle-in-cell *** bursts occur during the nonlinear stage,causing reflectivity spikes and generating large numbers of hot ***-duration simulations are performed to observe burst events,and a simplified model is developed to eliminate the interference of the broadband laser’s random intensity *** the simplified model,we isolate and characterize the spectrum of electron plasma *** spectrum changes from a sideband structure to a turbulence-like structure during the burst.A significant asymmetry in the spectrum is *** asymmetry is amplified and transferred to electron phase space by high-intensity broadband laser pulses,leading to violent vortex-merging and generation of hot *** proportion of hot electrons increases from 6.76%to 14.7%during a single violent burst *** demonstrate that kinetic effects profoundly influence the BSRS evolution driven by broadband lasers.

Indium oxide(In_(2)O_(3)),as a promising candidate for cO_(2)hydrogenation to c_(1) products,often suffers from sintering and activity decline,closely related to the undesirable structural evolution under reaction *** on the comprehension of the dynamic evolution,this study presents an efficient strategy to alleviate the agglomeration of In_(2)O_(3)nanoparticles by the surface decoration with highly dispersed silica species(SiO_(x)).Various structural characterizations combined with density functional theory calculations demonstrated that the sintering resulted from the over-reduction,while the enhanced stability originated from the anchoring effect of highly stable In-OSi bonds,which hinders the substantial formation of metallic In(In^(0))and the subsequent agglomeration.0.6Si/In_(2)O_(3)exhibited cO_(2)conversion rate of10.0 mmol g^(-1)h^(-1)at steady state vs.3.5 mmol g^(-1)h^(-1)on In_(2)O_(3)in cO_(2)*** steady-state activity was also achieved on pd-modified *** to the traditional pd/In_(2)O_(3)catalyst,the methanol production rate of pd catalyst supported on 0.6Si/In_(2)O_(3)was enhanced by 23%,showing the potential of In_(2)O_(3)modified by SiO_(x)in serving as a platform *** work provides a promising method to design new In_(2)O_(3)-based catalysts with improved activity and stability in cO_(2)hydrogenation.

compact flame-holders for afterburners are an increasing requirement for modern aero ***,flame-holder design is non-trivial since high inlet temperatures,velocities,and elaborate structures induce complex turbulence,combustion,and spray coupling in modern *** this work,the LES-pdf and stochastic fields-Lagrangian particle spray methods are used to investigate methane and aviation kerosene combustion structures formed by new-type concave *** flow pattern,combustion mode,and flame structure of gaseous and liquid fuel around a concave flame-holder are analyzed,discussed,and compared with experimental *** reveal that the flame stability of a concave flame-holder is better than that of the non-concave ***,when using liquid fuel,the concave flame-holder forms a stable and compact *** results suggest concave flame-holders are a promising design for compact afterburners.

Slits have been widely used in laser-plasma interactions as plasma optical components for generating high-harmonic light and controlling laser-driven particle ***,we propose and demonstrate that periodic thin slits can be regarded as a new breed of optical elements for efficient focusing and guiding of intense laser *** fundamental physics of intense laser interaction with thin slits is studied,and it is revealed that relativistic effects can lead to enhanced laser focusing far beyond the pure diffractive focusing *** addition,the interaction of an intense laser pulse with periodic thin slits makes it feasible to achieve multifold enhancement in both laser intensity and energy transfer efficiency compared with conventional *** results provide a novel method for manipulating ultra-intense laser pulses and should be of interest for many laser-based applications.

Intermetallic formation in sludge during magnesium(Mg)melting,holding and high pressure die casting practices is a very important ***,very often it is overlooked by academia,original equipment manufacturers(OEM),metal ingot producers and even die *** aim of this study was to minimize the intermetallic formation in Mg sludge via the optimization of the chemistry and process *** Al8Mn5 intermetallic particles were identified by the microstructure analysis based on the Al and Mn *** design of experiment(DOE)technique,Taguchi method,was employed to minimize the intermetallic formation in the sludge of Mg alloys with various chemical compositions of Al,Mn,Fe,and different process parameters,holding temperature and holding *** sludge yield(SY)and intermetallic size(IS)was selected as two *** optimum combination of the levels in terms of minimizing the intermetallic formation were 9 wt.%Al,0.15 wt.%Mn,0.001 wt.%(10 ppm)Fe,690℃ for the holding temperature and holding at 30 mins for the holding time,*** best combination for smallest intermetallic size were 9 wt.%Al,0.15 wt.%Mn,0.001 wt.%(10 ppm)Fe,630℃ for the holding temperature and holding at 60 mins for the holding time,*** groups of sludge factors,chemical Sludge(cSF),physical Sludge(pSF)and comprehensive Sludge Factors(and cpSF)were established for prediction of sludge yields and intermetallic sizes in Al-containing Mg *** cpSF with five independent variables including both chemical elements and process parameters gave high accuracy in prediction,as the prediction of the pSF with only the two processing parameters of the melt holding temperature and time showed a relatively large deviation from the experimental *** chemical Sludge Factor was primarily designed for small ingot producers and die casters with a limited melting and holding capacity,of which process parameters could be fixed *** physical Sludge Factor could be used f

Long-term time series forecasting stands as a crucial research domain within the realm of automated machine learning(AutoML).At present,forecasting,whether rooted in machine learning or statistical learning,typically relies on expert input and necessitates substantial manual *** manual effort spans model development,feature engineering,hyper-parameter tuning,and the intricate construction of time series *** complexity of these tasks renders complete automation unfeasible,as they inherently demand human intervention at multiple *** surmount these challenges,this article proposes leveraging Long Short-Term Memory,which is the variant of Recurrent Neural Networks,harnessing memory cells and gating mechanisms to facilitate long-term time series ***,forecasting accuracy by particular neural network and traditional models can degrade significantly,when addressing long-term time-series ***,our research demonstrates that this innovative approach outperforms the traditional Autoregressive Integrated Moving Average(ARIMA)method in forecasting long-term univariate time *** is a high-quality and competitive model in time series prediction,and yet it requires significant preprocessing *** multiple accuracy metrics,we have evaluated both ARIMA and proposed method on the simulated time-series data and real data in both short and long ***,our findings indicate its superiority over alternative network architectures,including Fully connected Neural Networks,convolutional Neural Networks,and Nonpooling convolutional Neural *** AutoML approach enables non-professional to attain highly accurate and effective time series forecasting,and can be widely applied to various domains,particularly in business and finance.
