<i>In Vitro</i>Plant Regeneration of <i>Morus indica</i>L. cv. V1 Using Leaf Explant

Adventitious bud induction and plantlet regeneration were studied in a popular mulberry variety, V1 using leaf as an explant. Fully expanded leaf explants were cultured on Murashige and Skoog’s (MS) medium supplemented with thidiazuron (TDZ) (0.5-4.0 mg/l), 6-benzylaminopurine (BAP) (0.5-2.0 mg/l), indole acetic acid (IAA) (2.0 mg/l), gibberlic acid (GA3) (1.0-2.0 mg/l) silver nitrate (AgNO3) (2.0 mg/l) and different carbon sources such as sucrose, fructose and glucose (10%-30%) either individually or in combination to induce adventitious buds and regeneration. The highest percentage (63%) of adventitious bud formation and regeneration (68%) was achieved in the medium containing MS with TDZ (1.0 mg/l), IAA (2.0 mg/l) and AgNO3 (2.0 mg/l). For subsequent regeneration and shoot elongation the MS medium having BAP (1.0 mg/l), GA3 (2.0 mg/l) and AgNO3 (2.0 mg/l) was found to be suitable. Amongst the carbon sources tested, the most suitable carbon source was found to be sucrose (3%) followed by fructose (2%) for adventitious bud formation. Excised in vitro shoots were rooted (60%-80%) in half strength MS medium supplemented with indole-3-butyric acid (1.0 mg/l). The well rooted plantlets were hardened in soil + sand + farm yard manure (FYM) mixture with a success rate of 70%-90%. Since in vitro regeneration is highly genotype-dependent in mulberry, the standardized protocol can be effectively used for further improvement of this leading genotype using biotechnological approaches.

Li-Fraumeni syndrome(LFS)is a well-defined autosomal dominant predisposition syndrome due to TP53 germline mutation that causes many cancer *** early-onset syndrome poses a state of widespread *** an inherited condition possessing defective p53,guardian of the genome,in the germline has the potential to cause multiple cancers by predominantly affecting mesenchyme(connective tissues,blood cells),breast,brain,and adrenal cortex *** tumors initially identified in LFS can eventually propagate to cause secondary *** contributes to multiple cancers in individuals with defective p53 *** suspected to possess any mass,patients with other co-morbidities,in particular those with certain cardiovascular conditions,undergo screening using high-throughput techniques like transthoracic and transesophageal echocardiography or cardiothoracic magnetic resonance imaging to locate and interpret the size of the *** LFS cases,it is certain to presume these masses as cancers and plan their management employing invasive surgeries after performing all efficient diagnostic *** are only poor predictions to rule out the chances of any other *** criterion emphasizes the necessity to speculate alternative precision diagnostic methods to affirm such new growth or masses encountered in LFS ***,it has all the possibilities to ultimately influence surgical procedures that may be invasive or complicate operative ***,it is essential to strategize an ideal protocol to diagnose any new unexplored mass in the LFS *** this editorial,we discuss the importance of diagnostic approaches on naïve pristine masses in LFS.

Polyurethane Hybrid-Based Wood Adhesive: Review

Based on commercially available polyvinyl alcohol (PVA) stabilised polyvinyl acetate (PVAc), emulsion adhesives are neither heat nor moisture-resistant and show weak strength at high relative humidity and high temperatures. Pre- or post-crosslinking is another method used to manufacture a conventional vinyl-based homopolymers or copolymers system with improved water resistance. Vinyl neodecanoate (VeoVa), N-methylolacrylamide (NMA), Methacrylamide, methacrylic acid (MAA), and other self-crosslinking comonomers are typically inserted to produce highly water-resistant vinyl based homopolymers or copolymers. Additionally, organic crosslinkers like glyoxal, glutaraldehyde, citric acid, tartaric acid, and the like, as well as inorganic crosslinkers like acidic metal salts like aluminium chloride, aluminium nitrate, boric acid, and the like, can be used to prepare the highly water-resistant vinyl based homopolymers or copolymers. It is also possible to combine the self-crosslinking comonomers with the organic crosslinkers. Recently, a different hybrid chemistry has been developed that improves lap shear strength, has outstanding water resistance, good durability, and doesn’t require any additional crosslinker agents. Two distinct polymers were combined to develop hybrid polymers. They usually involve mixing an organic polymer with a polymer. There are many capping agents that are used for polyurethanes to produce acrylics that are capped with polyurethane and used as an oligomer in PVAc wood glue. Here, in this paper, we reviewed the different hybrid chemistry based on polyurethane chemistry for wood bonding applications.

Background:Palatal rugae are asymmetrical elevations present on hard palate and are significant due to their uniqueness,stability and thus,aid in forensic ***:The objective is to determine palatal rugae morphology between parents and their offsprings and to determine their genetic *** and Methods:This randomized controlled cross-sectional single-blinded study was conducted on 50 families(randomly selected)who visited Vyas Dental College and Hospital.A total of 150 maxillary study models were examined and rugae were delineated and shape,size,and pattern of rugae were ***:Weak but significant correlation was seen in the nonspecific and angular type of palatal rugae between child and mother and child and father as P<*** with either or both of their parent was seen for curved,wavy,divergent,straight,horseshoe,angular,and nonspecific type of rugae with the higher%of wavy pattern matching(52%with mother and 54%with father).A considerable number of samples showed high heritability of primary and secondary rugae from both parents,but more predominantly to their mothers(branched,nonspecific,and straight).Conclusion:Both environmental and genetic factors can influence the rugae ***,studies should be conducted on a larger sample size to get more significant results.

BACKGROUND Rotavirus is a highly contagious virus responsible for a significant burden of acute gastroenteritis,particularly among infants and young children worldwide,however,vaccination against this viral agent is *** studies have hypothesized that rotavirus vaccination has been linked to lower rates of antibiotic *** To assess the relationship between rotavirus vaccination and antibiotic *** The present systematic review was tailored based on the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic reviews and Meta-Analyses *** electronic databases(PubMed/MEDLINE,Scopus and Web of Science)were searched independently by two investigators in order to retrieve relevant publications published until April 2023 that investigated the aforementioned research *** The comprehensive database search identified a total of 91 *** the duplicates were removed(n=75),we screened the titles and abstracts of 16 potentially eligible *** the irrelevant records were excluded(n=5),we screened the full texts of 11 ***,5 studies were entered into the qualitative and quantitative *** In conclusion,all the studies support the idea that vaccinations can reduce the need for antibiotic prescriptions which could potentially contribute to mitigating antibiotic ***,to fully comprehend the mechanisms of antibiotic resistance,enhance treatment guidelines,and consider diverse demographic situations,further research is necessary to use evidence-based strategies to fight antibiotic misuse and resistance.

Corrosion Inhibition of Mild Steel in Sulphuric Acid Using Luffa Aegyptiaca Leaves Extract

The corrosion inhibition of mild steel（MS） in sulphuric acid using Luffa aegyptiaca（LA） leaves extract was investigated by weight loss studies, colorimetric measurements, potentiodynamic polarisation and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy. The adsorption of LA leaves extract was confirmed by Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy and optical profilometry. The inhibition efficiency increased with increasing concentration of the extract but decreased with rise in temperature and with the increase in acid strength. Furthermore, the inhibition efficiency synergistically increased on the addition of halide ions. Polarisation studies revealed that the LA extract acts as mixed- type inhibitor. Physical adsorption mechanism is proposed from the trend in inhibition efficiency with the change in temperature and from thermodynamic parameters. The adsorption of LA on MS surface obeys Langmuir adsorption isotherm and follows the kinetic thermodynamic model of ElAwady at all temperatures studied.

Patient interest in video recording of colonoscopy:A survey

Analysis of Capacity Decay, Impedance, and Heat Generation of Lithium-ionBatteries Experiencing Multiple Simultaneous Abuse Conditions

Abuse of Lithium-ion batteries,both physical and electrochemical,can lead to significantly reduced operational *** some instances,abuse can cause catastrophic failure,including thermal runaway,combustion,and *** different test standards that include abuse conditions have been developed,but these generally consider only one condition at a time and only provide go/no-go *** this work,different types of cell abuse are implemented concurrently to determine the extent to which simultaneous abuse conditions aggravate cell degradation and *** loading is chosen to be the consistent type of physical abuse,and the first group of cells is cycled at different vibrational *** next group of cells is cycled at the same frequencies,with multiple charge pulses occurring during each *** final group of cells is cycled at the same frequencies,with a partial nail puncture occurring near the beginning of *** results show that abusing cells with vibrational loading or vibrational loading with current pulses does not cause a significant decrease in operational capabilities while abusing cells with vibrational loading and a nail puncture drastically reduces operational *** cells with vibration only experience an increase in internal resistance by a factor of 1.09–1.26,the cells with vibration and current pulses experience an increase in internal resistance by a factor of 1.16–1.23,and all cells from each group reach their rated lifetime of 500 cycles without reaching their end-of-life ***,the cells with vibration and nail puncture experience an increase in internal resistance by a factor of 6.83–22.1,and each cell reaches its end-of-life capacity within 50 ***,the results show that testing multiple abuse conditions simultaneously provides a better representation of the extreme limitations of cell operation and should be considered for inclusion in reference test standards.

The emerging pandemic of COVID-19 caused by the novel pathogenic human coronavirus SARS-CoV-2 has caused significant morbidity and mortality across the globe,prompting the scientific world to search for preventive measures to interrupt the disease *** data indicates gender-based differences in COVID-19 morbidity with better outcome amongst *** in sex-dependent morbidity and mortality in COVID-19 patients may be attributed to difference in levels of sex steroid hormones-androgens and *** suggests that apart from the regulation of viral host factors,immunomodulatory and cardioprotective roles exerted by estrogen and progesterone may provide protection to females against *** the underlying mechanisms and beneficial effects of these hormones as an adjuvant to existing therapy may be a step towards improving the *** article aims to review studies demonstrating the role of sex steroidal hormones in modulating SARS-CoV-2 host factors and summarize plausible biological reasons for sex-based differences seen in COVID-19 mortality.
