The tomato fruit fly Dacus punctatifrons is a pest of tomato, Lycopersicon esculentum Mill in Cameroon. Oviposition behavior, developmental durations for the life stages, pupal and adult weights as well as adult longevities were investigated on tomato. The peak period of oviposition was recorded between the hours of 10：30-11：30 and 14：30-5：30. The number of eggs per clutch varied from 3-12. Although the development period was similar for both sexes, the pupal weights, adult weights as well as adult longevities were significantly different.

Background： In Western North America, increasing wildfire and outbreaks of native bark beetles have been mediated by warming climate conditions. Bioclimatic models forecast the loss of key high elevation species throughout the region. This study uses retrospective vegetation and fire history data to reconstruct the drivers of past disturbance and environmental change. Understanding the relationship among climate, antecedent disturbances, and the legacy effects of settlement-era logging can help identify the patterns and processes that create landscapes susceptible to bark beetle epidemics. Methods： Our analysis uses data from lake sediment cores, stand inventories, and historical records. Sediment cores were dated with radiometric techniques （14C and 210pb/137Cs） and subsampled for pollen and charcoal to maximize the temporal resolution during the historical period （1800 CE to present） and to provide environmental baseline data （last 10,500 years）. Pollen data for spruce were calibrated to carbon biomass （C t/ha） using standard allometric equations and a transfer function. Charcoal samples were analyzed with statistical models to facilitate peak detection and determine fire recurrence intervals. Results： The Wasatch Plateau has been dominated by Engelmann spruce forests for the last ～10,500 years, with subalpine fir becoming more prominent since 6000 years ago. This landscape has experienced a dynamic fire regime, where burning events are more frequent and of higher magnitude during the last 3000 years. Two important disturbances have impacted Engelmann spruce in the historical period： 1） high-grade logging during the late 19th century; and （2） a high severity spruce beetle outbreak in the late 20th century that killed 〉90 % of mature spruce （〉10 cm dbh）. Conclusions： Our study shows that spruce-dominated forests in this region are resilient to a range of climate and disturbance regimes. Thermoelectric technology,which is characterized by the interconversion between heat and electricity,is demonstrated as an efficient and environmentally friendly route for thermal energy harvesting and solid-state cooling *** pursuit for high-performance room temperature thermoelectric materials is of significant ***,we proposed a design strategy to dramatically improve the thermoelectric response by constructing a hierarchical multiscale conductor network(AgNWs/CNT)in polymer matrix(PEDOT:PSS).At the optimized composition,the highest Seebeck coefficient and electrical conductivity of base treated ternary PEDOT:PSS/AgNWs/CNT composite are optimized to be 58.6μV K^(-1)and~1950 S ***,the power factor is thus calculated to be on the order of 670μV m^(-1)K^(-2),which is among one of the highest values compared with previous *** underlying mechanism is illustrated based on detailed structure,morphology and electron transport *** work affords a novel strategy for the future development of high-performance room temperature nanocomposite thermoelectrics.

In recent years,reinforcement learning(RL)has shown high potential for robotic ***,RL heavily relies on the reward function,and the agent merely follows the policy to maximize rewards but lacks reasoning *** a result,RL may not be suitable for long-horizon robotic *** this paper,we propose a novel learning framework,called multiple state spaces reasoning reinforcement learning(SRRL),to endow the agent with the primary reasoning ***,we abstract the implicit and latent links between multiple state ***,we embed historical observations through a long short-term memory(LSTM)network to preserve long-term memories and *** proposed SRRL’s ability of abstraction and long-term memory enables agents to execute long-horizon robotic searching and planning tasks more quickly and reasonably by exploiting the correlation between radio frequency identification(RFID)sensing properties and the environment occupation *** experimentally validate the efficacy of SRRL in a visual game-based simulation *** methodology outperforms three state-of-the-art baseline schemes by significant margins.

A(very)brief history of tension in nerve repair:Successful nerve repair is achieved by conveying as many axons successfully to their targets as ***,this is best achieved through a direct end-to-end repair under minimal tension(Millesi,1986).However,this is not feasible in most cases of trauma,where a segment of tissue damage must be excised and *** has most commonly been addressed with the use of nerve grafts to bridge the *** nerve grafts are considered the gold standard,with allograft or synthetic substitutes demonstrating some success over shorter *** their utility,autologous grafts pose challenges of their *** include functional deficit in the donor distribution(typically sensory),extended operative duration,additional scarring,and a lack of intrinsic blood *** are also a poor anatomical match for the stumps being bridged,both internally(disparate neuronal size and composition)as well as externally(often requiring cabled bundles to approximate the caliber of the nerve being repaired).Finally,unlike end-to-end repairs,autologous grafts also require axons to traverse a second repair interface,where a large proportion of axons are lost across the anatomical discontinuity.
