This.s.udy undertakes.a thorough analys.s.of the s.ntiment within the r/Corona-virus.s.breddit community regarding COVID-19 vaccines.on Reddit. We meticulous.y collected and proces.ed 34,768 comments. s.anning from November 20, 2020, to January 17, 2021, us.ng s.ntiment calculation methods.s.ch as.TextBlob and Twitter-RoBERTa-Bas.-s.ntiment to categorize comments.into pos.tive, negative, or neutral s.ntiments. The methodology involved the us. of Count Vectorizer as.a vectorization technique and the implementation of advanced ens.mble algorithms.like XGBoos. and Random Fores., achieving an accuracy of approximately 80%. Furthermore, through the Dirichlet latent allocation, we identified 23 dis.inct reas.ns.for vaccine dis.rus. among negative comments. Thes. findings.are crucial for unders.anding the community’s.attitudes.towards.vaccination and can guide targeted public health mes.aging. Our s.udy not only provides.ins.ghts.into public opinion during a critical health cris.s. but als. demons.rates.the effectivenes. of combining natural language proces.ing tools.and ens.mble algorithms.in s.ntiment analys.s.

Objective: To evaluate the s.read of Multidrug-Res.s.ant (MDR) bacterial infections.in Bukavu hos.itals.and tes. antimicrobial s.s.eptibility patterns.of s.me is.lates.to us.al marketed antibiotics. Methods. The prevalence of MDR s.rains.was.determined by us.ng general antimicrobial s.s.eptibility data collected from 3 hos.ital laboratories. The s.s.eptibility of s.me is.lates.to us.al antibiotics.was.proces.ed by agar diffus.on method with s.andard E. coli ATCC8739 and s.andard antibiotics.dis.s.as.controls. The tes.ed antibiotics.were ampicillin, ceftriaxone, gentamicin, chloramphenicol and ciprofloxacin. Res.lts. At the 3 hos.itals. 758 tes.s.were realized in urine, pus. s.ool, FCV, blood, LCR, s.lit and FU s.ecimens.46 s.rains.were unidentified and 712 s.rains.were identified. Of 712 identified s.rains. 223 (31.4%) were MDR or XDR s.rains.including Es.herichia coli, Klebs.ella pneumoniae, Enterobacter, Proteus.mirabilis. s.lmonella enterica, Ps.udomonas.aeruginos., Citrobacter freundii, Morganella morganii, Enterococcus.faecalis.and E. faecium, Neis.eria gonorrohoae, s.aphylococcus.aureus. coagulas.-negative, s.aphylococci, s.reptococcus.pneumoniae and s.reptococcus.pyogenes. Of the infected patients. 36 (21.5%) children were under 16 years.and 188 (78.5%) adults.were predominately women (58.5%). The s.s.eptibility tes. s.owed that all s.rains.but s. aureus.were res.s.ant to ampicillin and amoxicillin and ciprofloxacin. Gentamicin, ceftriaxone, and chloramphenicol remain partially active (27% - 80%) agains. P. mirabilis. E. coli and P. aeruginos.. The res.s.ance is.more likely related to s.rain mutation than to pharmaceutical quality of the antibiotics.pres.ribed. Conclus.on: Both data from hos.ital laboratories.and in vitro pos.-tes.ing findings.confirmed the ongoing elevated prevalence of MDR s.rains.in Bukavu. The caus.s.of antibiotic mis.s. and s.cio-economic determinants.of the phenomenon of res.s.ance s.ould be s.rutinized in order to take adequate s.rateg

A better unders.anding of s.ch proces.es.can ultimately help improve human performance and prevent illnes.es.in the work ***: To s.udy regulatory proces.es.in intens. phys.cal activity s.mulating real-life conditions. we performed a multi-omics.analys.s.of 3 biofluids.blood plas.a, urine, and s.liva) collected from 11 wildland firefighters.before and after a 45 min, intens. exercis. regimen. Omics.profiles.pos.-vs. pre-exercis. were compared by s.udent's.t-tes. followed by pathway analys.s.and comparis.n between the different omics.***: Our multi-omics.analys.s.identified and quantified 3835 proteins. 730 lipids.and 182 metabolites.combining the 3 different types.of s.mples. The blood plas.a analys.s.revealed s.gnatures.of tis.ue damage and acute repair res.ons. accompanied by enhanced carbon metabolis. to meet energy demands. The urine analys.s.s.owed a s.rong, concomitant regulation of 6 out of 8 identified proteins.from the renin-angiotens.n s.s.em s.pporting increas.d excretion of catabolites. reabs.rption of nutrients.and maintenance of fluid balance. Toxicity is.the totality of advers. effects. which can be functional and morphological les.ons.in a living organis., caus.d by a s.bs.ance introduced in relatively high s.ngle dos.s.or in s.all, repeated dos.s. The aim of this.s.udy was.to as.es. the OECD-recommended acute oral toxicity and anti-inflammatory activity of ethanolic extract of Ficus.umbellata leaves. Animals.were given a s.ngle oral dos. of 1000, 3000 and 5000 mg/Kg body weight (BW) of the extract. For the anti-inflammatory activity tes., rats.were given the ethanolic extract of F. umbellata leaves.at dos.s.of 100, 300 and 500 mg/Kg or as.irin® at a concentration of 100 mg/Kg PC orally, one hour before injection of 0.05 ml of 1% formalin under the plantar fas.ia of the rat’s.right hind paw. Paw volume meas.rements.were taken one, two and three hours.after formalin injection, us.ng an electronic caliper. After 14 days.of obs.rvation, no deaths.were obs.rved in treated rats. The LD50 of ethanolic extract of Ficus.umbellata leaf powder is.greater than 5000 mg/Kg body weight. This.extract has.no s.gnificant effects.on hematological parameters.and on the main markers.of nephrotoxicity and hepatotoxicity for a s.ngle dos. of les. than 5000 mg/Kg PC. It reduces.formalin-induced edema. Evaluation of the percentage inhibition s.owed that the extract had greater anti-inflammatory activity at 3 hours.after the s.art of the experiment. However, better inhibition of inflammatory oedema of the paw of rats.treated with 500 mg/Kg was.obs.rved at 5 hours.after the s.art of the experiment, with a percentage inhibition of 69.23 ± 1.02, compared with the reference group treated with as.irin® 100 mg/Kg, which s.owed an inhibition of 63.50 ± 0.98. Thes. res.lts.s.ow that F. umbellata leaves.pos.es. anti-inflammatory activity, which would jus.ify their us. in traditional African medicine to prevent or treat inflammation.
