There has been an intense discussion on the energy infrastructure cooperation in Northeast Asia.Most studies have focused on the technical feasibility of grid interconnection,deployment of renewable energy,and have ignored the quantitative analysis of social and economic benefits of these proposals.This study uses a computable general equilibrium model to evaluate the effects of energy interconnection in Northeast Asia.Key model development tasks include 1)constructing a new nesting structure,2)econometrically estimating the constant elasticities of substitution(CES)between fossil-and non-fossil-power generation bundles,3)developing a new base-case scenario,and 4)developing the policy scenario.We found that while Northeast Asia will benefit from energy interconnection development with higher GDP than in the base-case;there will be a trade-off between higher investment and lower consumption.Sector results and environmental implications in this region are also discussed.

To utilize electricity in a clean and integrated manner,a zero-carbon hydro-photovoltaic(PV)-pumped hydro storage(PHS)integrated power system is studied,considering the uncertainties of PV and load demand.It is a challenge for operators to develop a dynamic dispatch mechanism for such a system,and traditional dispatch methods are difficult to adapt to random changes in the actual environment.Therefore,this study proposes a real-time dynamic dispatch strategy considering economic operation and complementary regulatory ability.First,the dynamic dispatch of a hydro-PV-PHS integrated power system is presented as a multi-objective optimization problem and the weight factor between different goals is effectively calculated using information entropy.Afterwards,the dispatch model is converted into the Markov decision process,where the dynamic dispatch decision is formulated as a reinforcement learning framework.Then,a deep deterministic policy gradient(DDPG)is deployed towards the online decision for dispatch in continuous action spaces.Finally,a case study is applied to evaluate the performance of the proposed method based on a real hydroPV-PHS integrated power system in China.Simulations show that the system agent reduces the power volatility of supply by 26.7%after hydropower regulating and further relieves power fluctuation at the point of common coupling(PCC)to the upperlevel grid by 3.28%after PHS participation.The comparison results verify the effectiveness of the proposed method.

As an integrated carrier of energy production,transmission,distribution,conversion,storage,and utilization,multiple energy systems(MESs)have significant low-carbon potential.This paper proposes a hierarchical distributed dispatch model of MESs considering carbon trading,which is composed of the lower autonomous operation level of each MES and the upper coordinated control level.Different carbon emission sources are considered,including combined heat and power(CHP)units,gas boilers,and power to gas(P2G)devices.The transactive control(TC)mechanism is used to solve the model by introducing a virtual price signal.In the case study based on a 3-MES system,the effectiveness of the proposed distributed method is proved by comparison with a centralized algorithm.Meanwhile,the impacts of different carbon prices on MESs with different resource endowments are analyzed from the aspects of scheduling results,carbon emissions,clean energy consumption rate,and comprehensive operating costs.

It is expected that multiple virtual power plants(multi-VPPs)will join and participate in the future local energy market(LEM).The trading behaviors of these VPPs needs to be carefully studied in order to maximize the benefits brought to the local energy market operator(LEMO)and each VPP.We propose a bounded rationality-based trading model of multiVPPs in the local energy market by using a dynamic game approach with different trading targets.Three types of power bidding models for VPPs are first set up with different trading targets.In the dynamic game process,VPPs can also improve the degree of rationality and then find the most suitable target for different requirements by evolutionary learning after considering the opponents’bidding strategies and its own clustered resources.LEMO would decide the electricity buying/selling price in the LEM.Furthermore,the proposed dynamic game model is solved by a hybrid method consisting of an improved particle swarm optimization(IPSO)algorithm and conventional largescale optimization.Finally,case studies are conducted to show the performance of the proposed model and solution approach,which may provide some insights for VPPs to participate in the LEM in real-world complex scenarios.

An improved fuzzy method is proposed to derive a fuzzy number for characterizing uncertain wind power.The input measurement data are firstly converted into nested sets,and the fuzzy number is further obtained based on nested set transformation method.Numerical studies have demonstrated the effectiveness and advantages of the improved fuzzy method.

The threat of environmental degradation attracts great attention to clean energy production and transportation.However,the limited scope of energy consumption causes the large-scale of clean energy sources to be abandoned in Sichuan province.In the meantime,the development of modern greenhouse cultivation has transformed the agriculture industry to develop a brand-new type of electrical load in the grid.Consequently,the agricultural load can be used to consume the clean energy while facilitating plant growth.In this paper,an innovative agricultural load model is proposed based on crop evapotranspiration and daily light integration.Furthermore,the proposed agricultural load model is also applied to investigate the electricity consumption of five types of crop planting.The results illustrate that the power consumption is primarily driven by an artificial lighting compensation system.

Decarbonisation of power systems is essential for realising carbon neutrality,in which the economic cost caused by carbon needs to be qualified.Based on the formulation of locational marginal price(LMP),this paper proposes a locational marginal electricity-carbon price(EC-LMP)model to reveal carbon-related costs caused by power consumers.A carbon-priceintegrated optimal power flow(C-OPF)is then developed to maximise economic efficiency of the power system considering the costs of electricity and carbon.Case studies are presented to demonstrate the new formulation and results demonstrate the efficacy of the EC-LMP-based C-OPF on decarbonisation and economy.

After years of development in China’s electronic commerce sector,there has been a drastic increase not only in the number of electronic commerce enterprises and online shoppers,but also in electronic commerce market turnover in China.During this process,the Chinese government has played a key role in establishing legislation and market disciplines for the electronic commerce market.This paper explores policy regarding electronic commerce development in China and analyzes new trends in China’s electronic commerce,including the rise of mobile commerce,social commerce,and cross-border electronic commerce,and the booming industries of internet financing and Big Data.This paper aims to provide a better understanding of the development,uniqueness,and trends of electronic commerce in China.In addition,this paper also provides policymakers in China and other developing countries with policy suggestions regarding electronic commerce.

Titanium dioxide has been considered to be one of the most effective and environmental friendly photocatalytic material.It has been widely used in photocatalytic degradation of various pollutants.As we known,an anatase crystal form typically obtained by high temperature heat treatment(>600℃),usually shows higher catalytic activity.In order to further improve the catalytic efficiency,we prepared TiO2 with a non-supercritical drying method to form a high specific surface area aerogel structure,along with an increased active contact site.However,with the inevitable of internal pores collapse in the process of high temperature crystallization,a large amount of porous structure and specific surface area is reduced.Here,to enhance the photocatalytic activity of titania,we propose a synergistic strategy to fabricate a porous titania structure with a high specific surface area.It was crystallized at a lower temperature(120℃) in a low-boiling solvent(ethanol,acetone,etc.).The lattice structure was identified by X-ray diffractometry;specific surface area(over 300 m2/g) of our sample was also measured through BET test;in the subsequent photocatalytic degradation test,the photocatalytic degradation efficiency of fabricated TiO2 is proved to be more excellent than P25 powder.By a freeze-drying/mild crystallization method,a high-specific surface area and high catalytic activity TiO2 aerogel was synthetized.This study provides some insights in the combining of crystallization and high specific surface area of titanium dioxide photocatalysis.

A Regulating Capacity Determination Method for Pumped Storage Hydropower to Restrain PV Generation Fluctuations

The variable speed and constant frequency pumped storage hydropower(PSH)unit can strongly support the complementation and joint power supply of cascaded hydropower and photovoltaic(PV)plants.Its fast response capability has provided a feasible solution for the rapid power and voltage regulation caused by real-time fluctuations of PV systems.However,currently there is a lack of research on precise evaluation on regulation capability and regulating capacity configuration for PSH to restrain the real-time fluctuations.In this paper,a cascaded hydro-PV-PSH complementary joint power system(CHPP)is studied,and a“rule-based”method for regulating capacity determination is proposed.A combined statistical technique is introduced to analyze the initial estimated regulating capacity of PSH.A continuous cyclic revision method is adopted to renew the ideal PV curve by repeatedly using the main operating constraints until an optimal regulating capacity of PSH matching the PV generation scale is achieved.The results of the case study verified the feasibility and effectiveness of PSH for restraining the fast fluctuations of PV systems in real-time,and the configuration between PV and PSH regulating capacity is obtained with real-time application requirements.Finally,analyses including weather conditions,curtailed energy and electricity shortage,the sensitivity analysis,and state transition frequency are presented to demonstrate the robustness of this study.
