Based on the theory of thermal conductivity, in this paper we derived a formula to estimate the prolongation period （AtL） of cooling-crystallization process of a granitic melt caused by latent heat of crystallization as follows：△tL=QL×△tcol/（TM-TC）×CP where TM is initial temperature of the granite melt, Tc crystallization temperature of the granite melt, Cp specific heat, △tcol cooling period of a granite melt from its initial temperature （TM） to its crystallization temperature （Tc）, QL latent heat of the granite melt. The cooling period of the melt for the Fanshan granodiorite from its initial temperature （900℃） to crystallization temperature （600℃） could be estimated -210,000 years if latent heat was not considered. Calculation for the Fanshan melt using the above formula yields a AtL value of -190,000 years, which implies that the actual cooling period within the temperature range of 900°-600℃ should be 400,000 years. This demonstrates that the latent heat produced from crystallization of the granitic melt is a key factor influencing the cooling-crystallization process of a granitic melt, prolongating the period of crystallization and resulting in the large emplacement-crystallization time difference （ECTD） in granite batholith.

High-entropy ceramics are new single-phase materials with at least four cation or anion *** large configurational entropy is believed to enhance the simultaneous solubility of many components,which can be used to optimize certain *** this work,a high-entropy oxide,Li(Gd_(0.2)Ho_(0.2)Er_(0.2)Yb_(0.2)Lu_(0.2))GeO_(4)(LRG)was explored as a microwave dielectric ceramic for lowtemperature cofired ceramic *** LRG high-entropy ceramic with an olivine structure formed in the sintering temperature range of 1020-1100℃.The minimal distortion(5×10^(-4))of the[RO_(6)]octahedron led to a stable temperature coefficient of resonant frequency(τf)of-5.3 to-2.9 ppm/℃.Optimal microwave dielectric properties were achieved in the high-entropy ceramics at 1080℃ for 4 h with a relative density of 94.9%,a relative permittivity(ε_(r))of 7.2,and a quality factor(Q×f)of 29000 GHz(at15.3 GHz).For low-temperature cofired ceramic technology applications,the sintering temperature of the LRG high-entropy ceramic was reduced to 900℃ by the addition of 3 wt%H_(3)BO_(3),which exhibited outstanding microwave dielectric properties(ε_(r)=7.6,Q×f=11700 GHz,and τ_(f)=-7.4 ppm/℃)and a good chemical compatibility with silver.

The asymmetric alkylation reactions induced by non-cross-linked polystyrene supported cyclosulfamide chiral auxiliary occurred in moderate to good yields with a very high stereoselectivity（e.e.〉99%）. Compared to non-supported cyclosulfamide chiral auxiliary, this chiral auxiliary can be recovered by simple precipitation and filtration, and could be reused at least four cycles without appreciable reduction in the yield or stereoselectivity.

Needling at the Waiguan (SJ5) in healthy limbs deactivated functional brain areas in ischemic stroke patients A functional magnetic resonance imaging study

Deactivation is common in cerebral functional imaging. However, the physiological mechanisms responsible for this phenomenon remain poorly understood. The present study analyzed 12 ischemic stroke patients, who were randomly assigned to two groups： one group underwent sham needling and true needling at the Waiguan （SJ 5） in the healthy upper limb and the other group underwent sham and true needling at a sham point. Functional magnetic resonance imaging results showed no activation points in brain tissues following needling at SJ 5. However, compared with sham needling at SJ 5, true needling at SJ 5 deactivated Broadmann 4, 6, 24, and 32 areas. In addition, compared to needling at the sham point, true needling at SJ 5 deactivated bilateral hypothalamus. Results demonstrated that SJ 5 needling in the healthy upper limb resulted in specific directional brain action, as manifested by deactivation of cerebral areas related to motor （Broadmann 4 and 6）, emotion （hypothalamus）, and cognition （Broadmann 24, 32）.

Differences in functional magnetic resonance imaging following cutaneous and routine acupuncture at different acupoints

Few studies have examined the effects of different stimuli at a single acupoint using functional magnetic resonance *** present study applied acupuncture at the Neiguan（PC 6）,Waiguan（SJ 5）,Zhigou（SJ 6） and Yanglingquan（GB 34） acupoints in healthy *** was used to examine the activation of brain areas in response to different types of acupuncture（cutaneous or routine acupuncture） at each *** were no significant differences in the distribution of activation in the regions of interest between cutaneous and routine acupuncture at the Neiguan,Waiguan,and Zhigou acupoints,but some differences were observed between the two methods of acupuncture at the Yanglingquan *** were no significant differences in the intensity of induced activation between cutaneous and routine acupuncture at the Neiguan,Zhigou and Yanglingquan acupoints,but the activation intensity in the right cerebellum induced by routine acupuncture at the Waiguan acupoint was greater than that induced by cutaneous *** confirmed that cutaneous and routine acupuncture at the Neiguan,Waiguan,Zhigou and Yanglingquan acupoints activated different functional brain areas,and caused activation of different intensities in some areas.

Early filiform needle acupuncture for poststroke depression: a meta-analysis of 17 randomized controlled clinical trials

For a type of floating-ring seal widely used in the fields of aeronautics and astronautics,power and energy,and petrochemical engineering,the influences of various parameters on clearance leakage behavior of floating-ring seal are analyzed using numerical method and by means of MATLAB *** on Bulk-flow model,the governing equations of the flow field in the clearance of floating-ring seal are *** finite difference method and the staggered grid are used to discretize the governing *** SIMPLE algorithm is used to solve the discretized *** self-locking position of the floating-ring is calculated by analyzing the equilibrium condition of the floating ring,and accordingly the leakage flowrate of the flow field in the clearance of the floating-ring seal are ***,the influences of fluid viscosity,inlet swirl,width of floating ring,and relative roughness of floating-ring and rotor surface s on the leakage flowrate are discussed.

OBJECTIVE： To evaluate the effectiveness and safety of filiform needle acupuncture for poststroke depression, and to compare acupuncture with the therapeutic efficacy of antidepressant drugs. DATA RETRIEVAL： We retrieved data from the Chinese National Knowledge Infrastructure （1979-2012）, Wanfang （1980-2012）, VIP （1989-2012）, Chinese Biomedical Literature （1975- 2012）, PubMed （1966-2012）, Ovid Lww （-2012）, and Cochrane Library （-2012） Database using the internet. SELECTION CRITERIA： Randomized controlled trials on filiform needle acupuncture versus antidepressant drugs for treatment of poststroke depression were included. Moreover, the in- cluded articles scored at least 4 points on the Jadad scale. Exclusion criteria： other acupuncture therapies as treatment group, not stroke-induced depression patients, score 〈 4 points, non-ran- domized controlled trials, or animal trials. MAIN OUTCOME MEASURES： These were the Hamilton Depression Scale scores, clinical ef- fective rate, Self-Rating Depression Scale scores, Side Effect Rating Scale scores, and incidence of adverse reaction and events. RESULTS： A total of 17 randomized controlled clinical trials were included. Meta-analysis results displayed that after 4 weeks of treatment, clinical effective rate was better in patients treated with fill- form needle acupuncture than those treated with simple antidepressant drugs [relative risk = 1.11, 95% confidence interval （C/）： 1.03-1.21, P = 0.01]. At 6 weeks, clinical effective rate was similar between filiform needle acupuncture and antidepressant drug groups. At 2 weeks after filiform needle acupuncture, Hamilton Depression Scale （17 items） scores were lower than in the antide- pressant drug group （mean difference = -2.34, 95%CI： -3.46 to -1.22, P 〈 0.000,1）. At 4 weeks, Hamilton Depression Scale （24 items） scores were similar between filiform needle acupuncture and antidepressant drug groups. Most studies addressing the specificity of meridians and acupuncture points have focused mainly on the different neural effects of acupuncture at different points in healthy individuals. This study examined the effects of acupuncture on brain function in a pathological context. Sixteen patients with ischemic stroke were randomly assigned to true point group （true acupuncture at right Waiguan （SJ5）） and sham point group （sham acupuncture）. Results of functional magnetic resonance imaging revealed activation in right parietal lobe （Brodmann areas 7 and 19）, the right temporal lobe （Brodmann area 39）, the right limbic lobe （Brodmann area 23） and bilateral oc-cipital lobes （Brodmann area 18）. Furthermore, inhibition of bilateral frontal lobes （Brodmann area 4, 6, and 45）, right parietal lobe （Brodmann areas 1 and 5） and left temporal lobe （Brodmann area 21 ） were observed in the true point group. Activation in the precuneus of right parietal lobe （Brodmann area 7） and inhibition of the left superior frontal gyrus （Brodmann area 10） was observed in the sham group. Compared with sham acupuncture, acupuncture at Waiguan in stroke patients inhibited Brodmann area 5 on the healthy side. Results indicated that the altered specificity of sensation-associated cortex （Brodmann area 5） is possibly associated with a central mechanism of acupuncture at Waiguan for stroke patients.

In the present study, 10 patients with ischemic stroke in the left hemisphere and six healthy controls were subjected to acupuncture at right Waiguan （TE5）. In ischemic stroke subjects, functional MRI showed enhanced activation in Broadmann areas 5, 6, 7, 18, 19, 24, 32, the hypothalamic inferior lobe, the mamiilary body, and the ventral posterolateral nucleus of the left hemisphere, and Broadmann areas 4, 6, 7, 18, 19 and 32 of the right hemisphere, but attenuated activation of Broadmann area 13, the hypothalamic inferior lobe, the posterior lobe of the tonsil of cerebellum, and the culmen of the anterior lobe of hypophysis, in the left hemisphere and Broadmann area 13 in the right hemisphere. In ischemic stroke subjects, a number of deactivated brain areas were enhanced, including Broadmann areas 6, 11,20, 22, 37, and 47, the culmen of the anterior lobe of hypophysis, alae lingulae cerebella, and the posterior lobe of the tonsil of cerebellum of the left hemisphere, and Broadmann areas 8, 37, 45 and 47, the culmen of the anterior lobe of hypophysis, pars tuberalis adenohypophyseos, inferior border of lentiform nucleus, lateral globus pallidus, inferior temporal gyrus, and the parahippocampal gyrus of the right hemisphere. These subjects also exhibited attenuation of a number of deactivated brain areas, including Broadmann area 7. These data suggest that acupuncture at Waiguan specifically alters brain function in regions associated with sensation, vision, and motion in ischemic stroke patients. By contrast, in normal individuals, acupuncture at Waiguan generally activates brain areas associated with insomnia and other functions.
