Flexible multidirectional strain sensors are crucial to accurately determining the complex strain states involved in emerging sensing *** considerable efforts have been made to construct anisotropic structures for improved selective sensing capabilities,existing anisotropic sensors suffer from a trade-off between high sensitivity and high stretchability with acceptable ***,an ultrasensitive,highly selective multidirectional sensor is developed by rational design of functionally different anisotropic *** bilayer sensor consists of an aligned carbon nanotube(CNT)array assembled on top of a periodically wrinkled and cracked CNT-graphene oxide *** transversely aligned CNT layer bridge the underlying longitudinal microcracks to effectively discourage their propagation even when highly stretched,leading to superior sensitivity with a gauge factor of 287.6 across a broad linear working range of up to 100%*** wrinkles generated through a pre-straining/releasing routine in the direction transverse to CNT alignment is responsible for exceptional selectivity of 6.3,to the benefit of accurate detection of loading directions by the multidirectional *** work proposes a unique approach to leveraging the inherent merits of two cross-influential anisotropic structures to resolve the trade-off among sensitivity,selectivity,and stretchability,demonstrating promising applications in full-range,multi-axis human motion detection for wearable electronics and smart robotics.

Here,CuO nanorods fabricated via pulsed laser ablation in liquids were decorated with Ir,Pd,and Ru NPs(loading~7 wt%) through pulsed laser irradiation in the liquids *** resulting NPs-decorated CuO nanorods were characterized spectroscopically and employed as multifunctional electrocatalysts in OER,HER,and the furfural oxidation reactions(FOR).Ir-CuO nanorods afford the lowest overpotential of~345 mV(HER) and 414 mV(OER) at 10 mA cm^(-2),provide the highest 2-furoic acid yield(~10.85 mM) with 64.9% selectivity,and the best Faradaic efficiency~72.7% in 2 h of FOR at 1.58 V(***).In situ electrochemical-Raman analysis of the Ir-CuO detects the formation of the crucial intermediates,such as Cu(Ⅲ)-oxide,Cu(OH)_(2),and Ir_x(OH)_y,on the electrode-electrolyte surface,which act as a promoter for HER and *** Ir-CuO ‖ Ir-CuO in a coupled HER and FOR-electrolyzer operates at~200 mV lower voltage,compared with the conventional electrolyzer and embodies the dual advantage of energy-saving H_(2) and 2-furoic acid production.

Ranking Quality Management Indicators for Radio Programs

Even though radio broadcasting is one of the most widespread electronic mass media, its management for survival is getting drastic. The competition among incumbent radio stations becomes challenging due to the market change and environmental evolution. Managing program quality is a critical issue to a radio station to sharpen its competitive advantages. Quality management of radio programs is intertwined with complicated factors. In order to identify the primary factors affecting radio program quality as well as explore the impact level these factors bring, this study adopts modified Delphi method and analytic hierarchy process （AHP） to explore the issues. According to the outcomes modified Delphi method, the factors were categorized into four dimensions： operation, coordination, structure, and improvement. Ten sub-dimensions were followed. Each sub-dimension includes six to nineteen indicators for measuring radio program quality. In total, 72 indicators were identified. The AHP result revealed that the most important weight was given to the operation dimension. On the contrary, the least important weight was placed on the improvement dimension. Among the sub-dimensions, the standard procedure and organizational design were rated more important than the rest. The results could provide some facts to radio managers for future management.

To the Editor:Colonic diverticulosis is a common colon disorder worldwide and is mostly observed in the right colon in Asian patients,unlike in western *** colonic diverticula(ICD)are less common and are observed in about 0.7%of colonoscopy *** ICD often resemble colon polyps,they are difficult to distinguish by ***,bowel perforation after biopsy or endoscopic resection may be a serious *** colonoscopy maneuvers described to help diagnose ICD include radiating pillow sign,the use of air insufflation and water jet,and reversion of the ICD with *** rings,most recently described as concentric pale rings surrounding the lesion,also can help to diagnose ICD without the need for *** present report describes the cases that underwent endoscopic maneuvers by submucosal saline *** results of this clinical trial may help to distinguish ICD from colon polyps.

When Home Hospice Patients Discharge to Nursing Home: A Mixed Method

Background: Hospice care is to provide necessary medical care and support for patients and the families at the end of life (EOL). Hospice care patients typically withdraw from aggressive treatment. Even though home hospice has been shown to improve the quality of care, home hospice patients still revoke the services for various reasons. A little is known about where home hospice patients are being transferred. This study aims to address this gap and explore common reasons for home hospice discharge and placements, where patients being transferred other than home. Methods: Data were retrieved from the 2007 National Home and Hospice Care Survey (NHHCS). NHHCS is one in a series of nationally representative sample surveys of U.S. home health and hospice agencies. Results: Within identified home hospice patients, approximately 82.1% were deceased at discharge, and 846 (18.2%) were discharged for other reasons, including patients being stabilized or improved (30.2%), aggressive treatment (31.8%), moved (e.g., geographically, 13.5%) and others. Patients lived with a spouse were less likely to utilize external resources, like volunteers, thereby more likely to discharge patients to long-term facilities. Discussion: The current study suggest that it is difficult for the family to give all remaining care for their loved ones despite the support and resources for those home hospice patients. The characteristics of those who transferred to nursing facilities from home hospice will be discussed throughout.

Apoptosis and hypertrophy of cardiomyocytes are the primary causes of heart failure （HF）, a global leading cause of death, and are regulated through the complicated intracellular signaling network, limiting the development of effective treatments due to its complexity. To identify effective therapeutic strategies for HF at a system level, we develop a large-scale comprehensive mathematical model of the cardiac signaling network by integrating all available experimental evidence. Attractor landscape analysis of the network model identifies distinct sets of control nodes that effectively suppress apoptosis and hypertrophy of cardiomyocytes under ischemic or pressure overload-induced HF, the two major types of HF. Intriguingly, our system-level analysis suggests that intervention of these control nodes may increase the efficacy of clinical drugs for HF and, of most importance, different combinations of control nodes are suggested as potentially effective candidate drug targets depending on the types of HF. Our study provides a systematic way of developing mechanism-based therapeutic strategies for HF.

Lactoferrin （LF） and retinoic acid （RA） are enriched in colostrum, milk, and mucosal tissues. We recently showed that LF-induced IgA class switching through binding to betaglycan （transforming growth factor-beta receptor III, TpRIII） and activation of canonical TGF-p signaling. We investigated the combined effect of LF and RA on the overall IgA response. An increase in IgA production by LF was further augmented by RA. This combination effect was also evident in Ig germ-line α （GLa） transcription and GLa promoter activity, indicating that LF in cooperation with RA increased IgA isotype switching. We subsequently found that RA enhanced TβRIII expression and that this increase contributed to LF-stimulated IgA production. In addition to the IgA response, LF and RA in combination also enhanced the expression of the gut-homing molecules C-C chemokine receptor 9 （CCR9） and a4β7 on B cells. Finally, peroral administration of LF and RA enhanced the frequency of CCR9＋ IgA＋ plasma cells in the lamina propria. Taken together, these results suggest that LF in cooperation with RA can contribute to the establishment of gut IgA responses.

Solar-driven photocatalytic CO_(2) reduction to produce valuable chemicals and fuels offers an attractive strategy in alleviating the energy *** quantum dots(PtQDs)with TiO_(2) nanowire(TiO_(2)NW)/Ti_(3)C_(2) MXene heterostructures(Pt-TiO_(2)NW/Ti_(3)C_(2)) with tight interfacial contacts between the various components were prepared at room temperature via oxidation *** incorporated PtQDs played crucial roles as electron conduction bridges supported by the cocatalyst effect,effectively enhancing the separation efficiencies of photoinduced electron/hole pairs and improving CO_(2) reduction under simulated solar light *** Pt-TiO_(2)NW/Ti_(3)C_(2) heterostructures exhibited remarkable carbon monoxide(CO)and methane(CH_(4)) production at respective rates of 38.14 and 36.15μmol g^(-1)after 10 h of simulated solar light irradiation,an apparent quantum yield of 1.68%,and 79.2%selectivity for *** photocatalytic activities of the Pt-TiO_(2) NW/Ti_(3)C_(2) heterostructures for CO_(2) reduction were significantly enhanced compared to those of TiO_(2)NW/Ti_(3)C_(2) and the single-component photocatalysts,and they exhibited remarkable stabilities even after five *** addition,the densities of states and electronic characteristics of Ti_(3)C_(2) MXene and Pt-TiO_(2)NW/Ti_(3)C_(2) were studied using density functional theory,and a synergistic mechanism of the improvement in CO_(2) photoreduction is proposed.
