This paper introduces an effective anti-icing strategy that uses passive anti-icing property and active de-icing functions *** dual capabilities can alleviate the icing problem more effectively than either a passive or active function *** developed material is a slippery liquid-repellent elastic conductor(SLEC);it is an organogel that is composed of multi-walled carbon nanotubes,oil,and *** SLEC maintains passive water-droplet sliding ability even on wet surfaces that frequently occur in cold conditions(e.g.,during condensation and defrosting),suppresses ice nucleation,and shows ice adhesion strength as low as^20 *** SLEC releases heat when it is subject to electrical or photonic stimulation,and can therefore it can prevent ice formation and melt ice that has already formed on a *** material has sustainable liquid repellence by syneresis and replenishment;this ability ensures long-lasting anti-icing property,and results in exceptional *** durability is stable against mechanical *** superior dual anti-icing capabilities together with the sustainable and stable liquid repellence should generate synergistic effects,and yield a powerful anti-icing tool that can broaden the range of icing applications.

This study aims to develop and evaluate the indicators of Sustainable Development Goals(hereafter SDGs)for local governments in Gyeonggi Province,South Korea from the perspective of the glocal mainstreaming of SDGs and *** surveys and focus group meetings,35 SDGs indicators that are to be implemented by both the Gyeonggi Provincial government and 31 separate local governments were selected and an overall index was calculated by standardizing 27 *** the comparative analysis of the fuzzy-set,this paper revealed the four ideal types along with the arrangement of two variables,the socio-economic SDGs index(S)and the environmental SDGs index(E),which are derived from 31 local *** short,some examples of this arrangement are the Type 1(S^(*)E:“sustainable local gov.”)including Hanam City(fuzzy score,0.729);Type 2(S^(*)e:“imbalanced local gov.(I)”)including Hwaseong City(0.862);Type 3(s^(*)E:“imbalanced local gov.(II)”)including Gapyeong County(0.922);and Type 4(s^(*)e:“unsustainable local gov.”)including Pyeongtaek City(0.650).As a result,this paper suggests policy priority should be placed on the local governments of Type 4 where all three dimensions of sustainable development pose ***,it is important for Type 2 and Type 3 to enhance policy coherence for sustainability.

Herein,we designed a core-shell structured bottlebrush copolymer(BBP),which is composed of rubbery poly(butyl acrylate)(PBA)core and an epoxy miscible/reactive poly(glycidyl methacrylate)(PGMA)shell,as an epoxy tougheni ng age *** PGMA shell allows BBP to be uniformly dispersed within the epoxy matrix and to react with the epoxy groups,while the rubbery PBA block simultaneously induced nanocavitation effect,leading to improvement of mechanical properties of the epoxy *** mechanical properties were measured by the adhesion performance test,and the tensile and fracture test using universal testing *** BBP additives were added to the epoxy resin,a sign ifica nt improveme nt in the adhesion stren gth(2-fold increase)and fracture toughness(2-fold in crease in Kic and 5-fold in crease in Gic)compared to the neat epoxy was *** contrast,linear additives exhibited a decrease in adhesion strength and no improvement of fracture toughness over the neat *** a difference in mechanical performance was investigated by comparing the morphologies and fracture surfaces of the epoxy resins containing linear and BBP additives,confirming that the nanocavitation effect and void formation play a key role in strengthening the BBP-modified epoxy resins.

Geochemistry and Origin of Layers in Single Manganese Nodule from the Philippine Sea and Manganese Nodules from Offshore Minami-Torishima, Western Pacific

Layers from one manganese nodule dredged from the Philippine Sea（16°56＇N, 129°48＇E; water depth, 5700 m） and 45 bulk nodules from offshore Minami-Torishima Island, Japan（23°3＇N, 153°22＇E; water depth, 1200 m） were analyzed chemically and their origin is discussed based on geochemical constraints. In general, Cu, Ni, Zn and Mo tend to increase with increasing Mn content, while Co, Pb, Ba, V, Sc, Th, and the rare earth elements（REEs） show less variation with increasing Mn content. Nodule 42 H from the Philippine Sea has an average Mn/Fe ratio close to 1 and shows a positive Ce anomaly, suggesting a predominant hydrogenous origin. Profiles of 230Th230 ex and Thex/232 Th ratios in the outer ~0.3 mm of nodule 42 H indicate a steady growth rate of ~1.7 mm/Myr. Nodule E30 from offshore Minami-Torishima is characterized by lower Mn, Fe, Mn/Fe（0.53） and Mo/V（0.2） ratios but higher P and Cu/Ni（0.31） ratio relative to other nodules from that area. The Ce content of E30 is unusually low（82 ppm） when compared with other nodules from the area and it is the only nodule analyzed with a negative Ce anomaly（-0.64）. Based on the geochemical data we suggest that most nodules from offshore Minami-Torishima are primarily of hydrogenous origin except E30, which is dominated by hydrothermal input, and E45, which has about a 35% hydrothermal contribution.

＜正＞ To develop a new equation for temperature-dependem rotting, it is assumed that temperature rise of asphalt pavements reduces the asphalt-mix viscosity and then the reduced viscosity induces rutting. On the basis of this concept, a new equation has been proposed, and has been checked with laboratory and field wheel tracking data for its validity. Satisfactory outcomes are observed. The rut data analysis obtained by using the equation indicates that aggregate source and gradation only change the intercept in the linear plot of logarithmic rut depth versus reciprocal absolute temperature, while an asphalt binder affects both the slope and the intercept. This discovery is important in characterizing asphalt mixes in terms of aggregates and binders for temperature-dependent rut performance, and will be essential information for a mix design of asphalt pavements.

Castleman＇s disease （CD） of the pancreas/peripancreas is extremely rare. The recently introduced, endoscopic ultrasonography （EUS）-guided trucut biopsy （TCB） is a useful diagnostic rnodality for obtaining tissue samples from peripancreatic lesions. However, its role in diagnosing CD remains unknown. We report a case of localized, peripancreatic, hyaline-vascular CD biopsied using EUS. The pathology results were initially interpreted as an extranodal, marginal-zone B-cell lyrnphoma. However, polyrnerase chain reaction （PCR） study for the IgH gene rearrangement revealed a polyclonal pattern. We also reviewed the relevant literature. To our knowledge, this is the first illustrated report on EUS-TCB findings of CD with its pathology results of EUS-TCB mimicked a B-cell lymphoma.

This paper examines how the China-bound exports of Japan and Korea are related to exchange rates, motivated by the fact that processing trade makes up a large proportion of China＇s trade, and that Japan and Korea are the leading source countries for processing imports. Because processing imports are inputs for exports, the link between such imports and China＇s exchange rates are ambiguous. We estimate export functions that include China＇s RMB real effective exchauge rates （REER） along with bilateral real exchange rates （B RER） using Johausen ＇s cointegration method aud find that the RMB REER significantly affects Japanese and Korean exports to China, even more so than BRER in most cases examined. These two exchange rates appear in the export equations with opposite signs. Subsequently, we use the estimated model to illustrate the importance of accounting for a concurrent change in B RER when analyzing the effects of a hypothetical RMB revaluation on China＇s trade balances despite the apparently weak imports-B RER linkage.

BACKGROUND We report two cases of acute femoral artery occlusion following the use of ProGlide in minimally invasive cardiac surgery and insertion of large-bore catheters through the common femoral *** will add to the existing body of literature by highlighting the possible complications associated with the use of ProGlide and reiterate that the use of the sono-guided ProGlide skill will reduce the incidence of these *** SUMMARY A 78-year-old man underwent minimally invasive cardiac surgery for severe aortic valve *** the operation,the puncture site of the common femoral artery was closed using *** next morning,after regaining consciousness,he complained of pain,motor weakness(grade 2),and coldness in the right lower extremity.A 65-year-old man underwent minimally invasive cardiac surgery for a large secundum atrial septal defect(5 cm×5 cm).After the operation,the puncture site of the common femoral artery was closed using *** extubation,the patient complained of paresthesia of the right *** the patients underwent emergency surgery for acute occlusion of the common femoral *** If the sono-guided ProGlide skill is used,complications can be prevented,and ProGlide can be safely used.

The genetic diversity and population structure of Potentilla fragarioides var. sprengeliana (Rosaceae) in Korea were investigated using genetic variation at 22 allozyme loci. The percent of polymorphic loci within the enzymes was 59.1%. The genetic diversity at the species level and at the population level was high ( H es =0.210; H ep =0.199, respectively), whereas the extent of the population divergence was relatively low ( G ST =0.074). F IS , a measure of the deviation from random mating within the 19 populations, was 0.331 . An indirect estimate of the number of migrants per generation ( N m =3.15) indicates that gene flow is high among Korean populations of the species. In addition, analysis of fixation indices revealed a slight heterozygote deficiency in some populations and at some loci. The mean genetic identity between populations was 0.985. It is highly probable that the trend of genetic uniformity in a relatively homogeneous habitat is thought to be operated among Korean populations of P. fragarioides var. sprengeliana .
