Lignocellulosic nanofibers(LCNFs),implying lignin-containing cellulose fibers,maintain the prop-erties of both lignin and cellulose,which are hydrophobic and hydrophilic,*** pres-ence of hydrophobic lignin in LCNFs is expected to be an economical and attractive option that can improve the thermal and mechanical properties of ***,this study was conducted to produce lignin-rich LCNFs from sugar-rich waste obtained from rice husks after acidic *** LCNFs were produced from the lignin-rich solid fractions obtained after pretreatment and enzymatic hydrolysis,which were then incorporated as an additive into a chitosan-based *** variations in lignin content in the range of approximately 50.6%-66.8%in differently obtained LCNFs gave significantly different optical strengths and mechanical *** controllable processes may allow for customized film ***,the glucose-rich liquid fractions obtained after pretreatment and enzymatic hydrolysis were used as a substrate for ethanol fermentation to achieve total utilization of rice husk biomass *** conclusion,the lignin-rich biomass fraction holds promise as a suitable material for chitosan-LCNF film and has the potential to increase the economic feasibility of the biomaterial industry.

AIM:To ascertain whether the Prague circumferential(C) length and maximal(M) length criteria for grading the extent of Barrett's esophagus can be applied prior to its widespread application in South ***:Two hundred and thirteen consecutive cases with endoscopic columnar-lined esophagus(CLE) were included and classified according to the Prague C and M ***:Of 213 cases with CLE, the distribution of maximum CLE lengths was: 0.5-0.9 cm in 99 cases(46.5%); 1.0-1.4 cm in 63 cases(29.6%); 1.5-1.9 cm in 15 cases(7.0%); 2.0-2.4 cm in 14 cases(6.6%); 2.5-2.9 cm in 1 case(0.5%); and 7.0 cm in 1 case(0.5%). Twenty cases(9.4%) had columnar islands alone. Two hundred and eight cases(97.7%) lacked the circumferential CLE component(C0Mx). Columnar islands were found in 70 cases(32.9%), of which 20 cases(9.4%) had columnar islands ***:In regions where most CLE patients display short or ultrashort tongue-like appearance, more detailed descriptions of CLE's in < 1.0 cm lengths and columnar islands, as well as avoidance of repeating the prefix "C0" need to be considered in parallel with the widespread application of the Prague system in South Korea.

Ensemble-based analyses are useful to compare equiprobable scenarios of the reservoir ***,they require a large suite of reservoir models to cover high uncertainty in heterogeneous and complex reservoir *** stable convergence in ensemble Kalman filter(EnKF),increasing ensemble size can be one of the solutions,but it causes high computational cost in large-scale reservoir *** this paper,we propose a preprocessing of good initial model selection to reduce the ensemble size,and then,EnKF is utilized to predict production performances *** the model selection scheme,representative models are chosen by using principal component analysis(PCA)and clustering *** dimension of initial models is reduced using PCA,and the reduced models are grouped by ***,we choose and simulate representative models from the cluster groups to compare errors of production predictions with historical observation *** representative model with the minimum error is considered as the best model,and we use the ensemble members near the best model in the cluster plane for applying *** demonstrate the proposed scheme for two 3D models that EnKF provides reliable assimilation results with much reduced computation time.

Quality of harvested rice and its production are influenced by the timing of *** at the right stage gives the best yield and *** purpose of this research was to determine the best time for harvesting by using image processing *** such as weight of florets,hue colour of florets,and hue colour of flag leaf were tested in the *** trends of changes were observed in the process of maturity until the harvesting *** Malaysia Rice(MR)variety 219,the corresponding hue value for florets maturation is 32.3°±2°.In the period of maturity,the florets’hue value decreased from green to yellow and then remained constant at 32°.The maturity process proceeded gradually from the florets at the outermost spikelet to florets at the basal *** at the basal part were matured seven days later than the florets at the terminal *** show that the colour changes of the leaf were uneven and hence did not give a good correlation with *** was observed that the weight for a matured floret increased rapidly towards maturity,but remained constant after it reached the mature *** were some losses in weight due to the decrease of moisture contents in ***,it was concluded that the maturity of paddy can be observed through the colour and weight of *** MR219 mature floret has the hue colour of 32.3°±2°,and the mature floret can weigh up to 31.25 mg.

Factors influencing stereoacuity levels after surgery to correct unilateral developmental cataracts in children

·AIM: To evaluate factors influencing stereoacuity after surgery to correct unilateral developmental pediatric cataracts. ·METHODS: We retrospectively surveyed 110 patients who had undergone removal of unilateral acquired developmental cataracts and primary posterior chamber intraocular lens implantation between February 1992 and December 2009. In all patients, stereoacuity was assessed using the Titmus test at the last follow -up period of minimum 2 years after surgery. Patients were divided into two groups according to the extent of stereoacuity : group 1 ( = 42 ) had stereoacuity values ≤ 100sec/arc and group 2 ( =68) values >100sec/arc. The values of ten parameters associated with stereoacuity were measured in each group: Cataract types, preoperative best corrected visual acuity (BCVA) of the affected eyes, preoperative inter -ocular difference of BCVA, age at cataract surgery, operative method, secondary cataract, postoperative strabismus, postoperative BCVA of the affected eyes, postoperative inter-ocular difference of BCVA, and anisometropia. ·RESULTS: The extent of stereoacuity was significantly associated with both operative method and secondary cataract ( =0.000 and =0.016, respectively). All patients in whom the posterior capsule was preserved, had poor stereoacuity >100sec/arc. Significant correlations with the extent of stereoacuity were found with postoperative strabismus ( =0.048),postoperative BCVA of the affected eyes ( =0.002), anisometropia ( =0.034). ·CONCLUSION: Postoperative stereoacuity was better in patients who underwent either optic capture or anterior vitrectomy after posterior continuous curvilinear capsulorhexis, and who didn’t develop secondary cataracts or strabismus postoperatively. Furthermore, postoperative BCVA of the affected eyes, and anisometropia influenced the stereoacuity of the patients surgically treated for unilateral developmental pediatric cataracts. ·

AIM:To evaluate factors associated with the development of strabismus after cataract extraction and primary intraocular lens ***:The medical records of 122 patients,aged1.5mo to 9y,who had undergone cataract extraction with primary intraocular lens implantation between January1993 and August 2011 were *** patients(17 eyes)with strabismus before cataract surgery were *** were divided into those with congenital bilateral cataracts(64 patients,128 eyes)and those with unilateral cataracts(44 patients,44 eyes).The associations between the development of strabismus and age at cataract surgery,pre-and post-cataract extraction corrected distance visual acuity(CDVA),interocular CDVA difference,nystagmus,surgical method,and secondary cataract were ***:Factors significantly associated with the development of strabismus included age at cataract surgery(≤1y),preoperative mean CDVA≤20/100,presence of nystagmus in the bilateral cataract group and postoperative interocular CDVA difference>20/70 in the unilateral *** CDVA≤20/100 and preservation of posterior capsule,and presence of secondary cataract were significant factors in both ***:Children with congenital cataracts should be monitored carefully after cataract surgery for the development of strabismus,especially when they underwent surgery at age≤1y,and they have nystagmus,large postoperative interocular CDVA difference,poor preoperative and postoperative CDVA,preservation of the posterior capsule,or secondary cataract.

Since Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) reveals the black box nature of services,heterogeneity,service dynamism,and service evolvability,managing services is known to be a challenging *** computing (AC) is a way of designing systems that can manage themselves without direct human ***,applying the key disciplines of AC to service management is appealing.A key task of service management is to identify probable causes for symptoms detected and to devise actuation methods that can remedy the *** SOA,there are a number of target elements for service remedies,and there can be a number of causes associated with each target ***,there is not yet a comprehensive taxonomy of causes that is widely *** lack of cause taxonomy results in the limited possibility of remedying the problems in an autonomic *** this paper,we first present a meta-model,extract all target elements for service fault management,and present a computing model for autonomously managing service *** we define fault taxonomy for each target element and inter-relationships among the ***,we show prototype implementation using cause taxonomy and conduct experiments with the prototype for validating its applicability and effectiveness.

Purpose:Monoacylglycerol O-acyltransferase 1(MGAT1)is reported to play a key role in the development of diet-induced nonalcoholic fatty liver disease(NAFLD).Thus,this study investigated the effect of exercise on suppression of the MGAT1 pathway in NAFLD tissue of high-fat diet(HFD)-induced obese ***:Male Sprague-Dawley rats were fed an HFD containing 45%fat for 6 *** confirmation that NAFLD had been induced in the obese animals,they were divided into HFD-fed groups provided with exercise(HFD+EXE)or without exercise(HFD)and a group given dietary adjustment(DA)only,for a further 6 weeks of intervention *** 6-week regular moderate aerobic exercise consisted of an accommodation phase with increasing *** accumulation in the liver tissue was determined by Oil Red O *** MGAT1 and liver lipogenic gene mRNA levels were measured by qPCR,and their protein levels by western blot ***:Oil Red O staining showed that NAFLD was successfully induced by *** gene expression of MGAT1 was significantly lower in HFD+EXE than ***,there was no significant difference between HFD+EXE and *** protein expression of MGAT1 was significantly lower in HFD+EXE than both HFD and *** RNA and protein expression of other lipogenic genes were not different among *** data indicate that exercise suppresses MGAT1 pathway regardless of HFD feeding;in part,this effect could be greater than ***:Our data suggest that exercise can improve NAFLD,which is probably due to suppression of MGAT1 pathway.
