Nitrogen-and Oxygen-Containing Porous Ultrafine Carbon Nanofiber:A Highly Flexible Electrode Material for Supercapacitor

Herein, we report a simple and effective preparation of ultrafine CNFs （u-CNFs） with high surface area via electrospinning of two immiscible polymers [polyacrylonitrile （PAN） and poly（methyl methacry- late）（PMMA）] followed by calcination at high temperature in an inert atmosphere. Various electrospinning conditions were optimized in detail. Four different kinds of PAN/PMMA ratios （10/0, 7：3, 5：5 and 3：7） were chosen and found that the PAN/PMMA ratio of 3：7 （PAN/PMMA-3：7） is the optimum one. BET anal- ysis showed the specific surface area of the u-CNFs-3：7 was 46Z57 m2/g with an excellent pore volume （1.15 cms g-l） and an average pore size （9.48 nm）： it is about 25 times higher than the conventional CNFs （c-CNFs）. TEM and FE-SEM images confirmed the ultrafine structure of the CNFs with a thinner fiber di- ameter of-50 nm. The graphitic nature and atomic arrangement of the u-CNFs were investigated by Raman and XPS analyses. For the supercapacitor application, unlike the common electrode preparation methods, the u-CNFs-3：7 was used without any activation, chemical or mechanical modifications. The u-CNFs- 3：7 showed a better specific capacitance of 86 Fig in 1 mol/L 1-12S04 when compared to pure CNFs. The excellent physicochemical properties make the u-CNFs-3：7 an alternative choice to the existing CNFs for the supercapacitors.

A Simple Method for the Fabrication of Metallic Copper NanospheresDecorated Cellulose Nanofiber Composite

Herein, we report a new and simple method for the preparation of metallic copper nanospheres- decorated cellulose nanofiber composite （CuNSsJCNFs）. Initially, the cellulose acetate nanofibers （CANFs） were electrospun followed by deacetylation and anionization to produce functional anionic cellulose nanofibers ff-CNFs）. The CuCl2 precursor was deposited on thef-CNFs （CuC12/CNFs） by a simple dipping method. Then the CuCIdCNFs were reduced under vacuum by using aluminum foil to produce the CuNSs/ CNFs. The resultant CuNSs/CNFs composite was characterized by various microscopic and spectroscopic methods. Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy （FT-IR） confirmed the successful functionalization of anionic groups with the CNFs. The field emission scanning electron microscopy （FE-SEM） and transmission electron microscope （TEM） results confirmed the formation of CuNSs on the surface of CNFs. From the scanning electron microscopy-energy dispersive spectroscopy （SEM-EDS） analysis, the weight percentage of Cu was found to be 23.5 wt%. The successful reduction of CuO to metallic Cu was confirmed by X-ray photoemission spectroscopy （XPS） and X-ray diffraction （XRD） analyses. Mechanism has been proposed for the formation of metallic Cu sphere on CNFs.

FEA technique of hot plate forming process using cell-typed die with cooling device

Hot plate forming using a cell-typed die is a process for forming a large thick plate with a spherical shape for the manufacture of a large spherical LNG ***-typed upper and lower dies made of a framework of steel plates fitted to make a grid pattern are used in this process,and an air-cooling device is separately installed inside the lower die.A finite element analysis (FEA) technique was developed,which included hot forming,air flow,cooling and thermal deformation analysis for the hot plate forming process using the cell-typed ***,the convective and interface heat transfer coefficients were used to reproduce analytically the effects of the cooling device in the hot plate forming analysis.A small-scale model test of the process was conducted to verify the FEA *** analysis results show that the curvature of the final plate agrees well with that of the designed experiment within a maximum relative error of 0.03% at the corner of the plate.

Study on SCR De NO_x mechanism through in situ electrical conductivity measurements on V_2O_5-WO_3/TiO_2 catalysts

V2O5-WO3/TiO2 catalysts were prepared by impregnation method and in situ electrical conductivity measurements were carried out to investigate the reaction mechanism for ammonia SCR (selective catalytic reduction) of NOx. The electrical conductivity change with ammonia supply and the increase of electrical conductivity were mainly caused by reduction of the labile surface oxygen. The electrical conductivity change of catalysts shows close relationship with the conversion rate of NOx. Variation of conversion rate in atmosphere without gaseous oxygen also supports that the labile lattice oxygen is indispensable in the initial stage of the de NOx reaction. These results suggest that the liable lattice oxygen acts decisive role in the de NOx mechanism. They also support that De NOx reaction occurs through the Eley-Rideal type mechanism. The amount of labile oxygen can be estimated from the measurement of electrical conductivity change for catalysts with ammonia supply.

Phosphorylated p70S6K in urothelial carcinoma of the tumor recurrence noninvasive low-grade bladder： correlation with

We investigated whether inhibiting phosphorylated p70S6K （p-p70S6K） suppresses the proliferation and growth of noninvasive low-grade urothelial carcinoma （LG-URCa） in vitro and whether p-p70S6K can serve as a predictive biomarker for the recurrence of noninvasive LG-URCa of the bladder in patients. We constructed a tissue microarray （TMA） for 95 LG-URCa and 35 benign urothelium samples and performed immunohistochemical staining for p-p70S6K and p-4E-BP1. A Cox regression model was used to investigate the predictive factors for recurrence of LG-URCa. We investigated the dose-dependent antiproliferative effect of rapamycin, its antiproliferative effect and the growth-inhibition effect of p70S6K siRNA transfection in RT4 and 253J cell lines. The pT1 staged group （P 〈 0.05; hazard ratio （HR）, 2.415） and the high p-p70S6K staining group （P 〈 0.05; HR, 2.249） were independent factors for predicting recurrence. Rapamycin inhibited RT4 and 253J cell proliferation in a dose-dependent manner （r = -0.850, P 〈 0.001 in RT4 cells; r = -0.835, P 〈 0.001 in 253J cells）. RT4 and 253J cell proliferation and growth were inhibited by the transfection of p70S6K siRNA and rapamycin, respectively （P 〈 0.05）. Transfection of p70S6K siRNA resulted in inhibitory effects on cell proliferation and growth that were similar to those of rapamycin. Our results suggest that inhibiting p70S6K phosphorylation is important to prevent recurrence and that p70S6K phosphorylation can be used as a molecular biomarker to predict recurrence of certain LG-URCa of the bladder.

On an Asymptotic Behavior of Exponential Functional Equation

The stability problems of the exponential （functional） equation on a restricted domain will be investigated, and the results will be applied to the study of an asymptotic property of that equation. More precisely, the following asymptotic property is proved： Let X be a real （or complex） normed space. A mapping f ： X → C is exponential if and only if f（x ＋ y） - f（x）f（y） → 0 as ｜｜x｜｜＋｜｜y｜｜ → ∞ under some suitable conditions.

Characterization of Wollastonite Glass-ceramics Made from Waste Glass and Coal Fly Ash

The crystallization behavior of wollastonite glass-ceramics was investigated by means of X-ray diffraction （XRD） analysis and surface morphological observations, and the chemical compositions were evaluated by field emission-scanning electron microscopy （FE-SEM） and energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy （EDS）. Various heat treatment temperatures （850, 900, 950, 1000 and 1050 ℃） were used to obtain glass-ceramics of the ideal wollastonite crystal phase as well as optimum mechanical properties and chemical durability. From XRD, FE-SEM and EDS, the crystallization of acicular crystal phase in the matrix was achieved at heat treatment temperature of 1000 and 1050 ℃, and wollastonite （CaSiO3） was found in the acicular type main crystal phase in the glass-ceramics. Various properties, such as density, compressive strength, bending strength and chemical durability were also examined. The mechanical properties of glass-ceramics obtained at the heat treatment temperature of 1000 and 1050 ℃ were superior to those obtained at the heat treatment temperature of 850 ℃.

We investigate the effect of ion irradiation on MgB_(2) thin films with small grains of approximately 122 nm and 140 *** flux pinning by grain boundaries is insignificant in the pristine MgB_(2) films due to good inter-grain connectivity,but is significantly improved after 120-keV Mn-ion *** scaling behavior of the flux pinning force density for the ion-irradiated MgB_(2) thin films with nanoscale grains demonstrates the predominance of pinning by grain boundaries,in contrast to the single-crystalline MgB_(2) films where normal point pinning was dominant after low-energy ion *** results suggest that irradiation-induced defects can accumulate near the grain boundaries in metallic MgB_(2) superconductors.
