Sleep Posture Classification Using RGB and Thermal Cameras Based on Deep Learning Model

Sleep posture surveillance is crucial for patient comfort,yet current systems face difficulties in providing compre-hensive studies due to the obstruction caused by *** posture assessment remains challenging because of the complex nature of the human body and variations in sleep ***,this study introduces an innovative method utilizing RGB and thermal cameras for comprehensive posture classification,thereby enhancing the analysis of body position and *** method begins by capturing a dataset of sleep postures in the form of videos using RGB and thermal cameras,which depict six commonly adopted postures:supine,left log,right log,prone head,prone left,and prone *** study involves 10 participants under two conditions:with and without ***,the database is normalized into a video *** subsequent step entails training a fine-tuned,pretrained Visual Geometry Group(VGG16)and ResNet50 *** the third phase,the extracted features are utilized for *** fourth step of the proposed approach employs a serial fusion technique based on the normal distribution to merge the vectors derived from both the RGB and thermal ***,the fused vectors are passed to machine learning classifiers for final *** dataset,which includes human sleep postures used in this study’s experiments,achieved a 96.7%accuracy rate using the Quadratic Support Vector Machine(QSVM)without the ***,the Linear SVM,when utilized with a blanket,attained an accuracy of 96%.When normal distribution serial fusion was applied to the blanket features,it resulted in a remarkable average accuracy of 99%.

Factors associated with strabismus after cataract extraction and primary intraocular lens implantation in congenital cataracts

AIM:To evaluate factors associated with the development of strabismus after cataract extraction and primary intraocular lens ***:The medical records of 122 patients,aged1.5mo to 9y,who had undergone cataract extraction with primary intraocular lens implantation between January1993 and August 2011 were *** patients(17 eyes)with strabismus before cataract surgery were *** were divided into those with congenital bilateral cataracts(64 patients,128 eyes)and those with unilateral cataracts(44 patients,44 eyes).The associations between the development of strabismus and age at cataract surgery,pre-and post-cataract extraction corrected distance visual acuity(CDVA),interocular CDVA difference,nystagmus,surgical method,and secondary cataract were ***:Factors significantly associated with the development of strabismus included age at cataract surgery(≤1y),preoperative mean CDVA≤20/100,presence of nystagmus in the bilateral cataract group and postoperative interocular CDVA difference>20/70 in the unilateral *** CDVA≤20/100 and preservation of posterior capsule,and presence of secondary cataract were significant factors in both ***:Children with congenital cataracts should be monitored carefully after cataract surgery for the development of strabismus,especially when they underwent surgery at age≤1y,and they have nystagmus,large postoperative interocular CDVA difference,poor preoperative and postoperative CDVA,preservation of the posterior capsule,or secondary cataract.

Molecular and prognostic heterogeneity of microsatellite-unstable colorectal cancer

Colorectal cancers (CRCs) with a high level of microsatellite instability (MSI-H) are clinicopathologically distinct tumors characterized by predominance in females, proximal colonic localization, poor differentiation, mucinous histology, tumor-infiltrating lymphocytes, a Crohn’s-like lymphoid reaction and a favorable prognosis. In terms of their molecular features, MSI-H CRCs are heterogeneous tumors associated with various genetic and epigenetic alterations, including DNA mismatch repair deficiency, target microsatellite mutations, BRAF mutations, a CpG island methylator phenotype-high (CIMP-H) status, and a low level of genomic hypomethylation. The molecular heterogeneity of MSI-H CRCs also depends on ethnic differences; for example, in Eastern Asian countries, relatively low frequencies of CIMP-H and BRAF mutations have been observed in MSI-H CRCs compared to Western countries. Although the prognostic features of MSI-H CRCs include a favorable survival of patients and low benefit of adjuvant chemotherapy, there may be prognostic differences based on the molecular heterogeneity of MSI-H CRCs. Here, we have reviewed and discussed the molecular and prognostic features of MSI-H CRCs, as well as several putative prognostic or predictive molecular markers, including HSP110 expression, beta2-microglobulin mutations, myosin 1a expression, CDX2/CK20 expression, SMAD4 expression, CIMP status and LINE-1 methylation levels.

Performance evaluation of the use of tire-derived fuel fly ash as mineral filler in hot mix asphalt concrete

According to deplete natural resources and need to protect the environment,the demand of a usage of waste material has significantly *** studies are currently being carried out on the development of innovative and environmentally friendly materials for securing the safety of road users and improving the performance and durability of *** example,studies are currently being conducted on the use of waste tires as a substitute for currently used *** the development of the automobile industry,the amount of waste tire has continuously increased in accordance with the increased vehicle ***-derived fuel(TDF)has been used as a fuel source with generated TDF fly *** filler,made of fine mineral particles of a physical size passing the number 200 standard mesh sieve(75 micron),plays an important role in asphalt mixtures *** paper presents an application of TDF fly ash as filler in hot mix asphalt(HMA).In this study,the performance of TDF fly ash was confirmed through a comparison with three other mineral fillers:stone dust,cement,and hydrated *** tests including Marshall stability test,moisture sensitivity test,dynamic immersion test,and a wheel tracking test were performed to investigate the difference in the behaviors of the samples with different parameters considered in this *** results show that the mechanical performance of hot mix asphalt using TDF fly ash satisfied the quality standard specification of the Ministry of Land,Infrastructure and Transport(MOLIT),*** can be concluded that the use of TDF fly ash as a mineral filler in HMA not only satisfied the mechanical properties,but also reduced the volume of the pollutants waste in the environment.

Impregnation approach for poly(vinylidene fluoride)/tin oxide nanotube composites with high tribological performance

We report a composite material with the high tribological performance,which consists of onedimensional SnO2 nanotubes(ST)and a high molecular weight poly(vinylidene fluoride)(PVDF)matrix in terms of *** of PVDF in N,N-dimethylformamide(DMF)resulted in a facile penetration of PVDF into the inner hollow voids of ST,leading to the close *** between PVDF and ST results in a beneficial effect on the chain arrangement of PVDF,providing anα-phase with better tribological *** ST incorporation,the friction coefficient decreased by 85.0%to 0.408,and the specific wear rate decreased by 69.1%to 0.412,demonstrating the pivotal role of ST as a self-lubricating material due to a large interactive area and PVDF chain rearrangement.

Ni, Co-double hydroxide wire structures with controllable voids for electrodes of energy-storage devices

We re port the facile synthesis of Ni,Co-double hydroxide wire(NCHW)-based electrodes directly grown on a conductive substrate via a hydrothermal *** NCHW nanostructures were grown on Ni foam,and the growth was controlled using different compositions of solvents(ethanol and water).With increasing volume ratio of ethanol to water,the density of the wires decreased,and the spatial voids between the wires *** formation of large empty spaces improved the electrochemical performance because the exposure of a large surface area of the structure to the electrolyte resulted in a large number of active sites and facile electrolyte penetration into the *** different NCHW structures were ascribed to the pivotal role of the solvent in the urea hydrolysis;the solvent triggered the formation of hydroxides during the hydrothermal *** electrochemical performance of the NCHW electrodes was investigated via galvanostatic charge/discha rge tests,cyclic voltammetry,and electrochemical impedance *** highest specific capacitance was 1694.7 m F/cm^2 at 2 mA/cm^2,with excellent capacitance retention of 81.5% after 5000 *** superior electrochemical performance of the NCHW electrodes is attributed to the large number of active sites and facile electrolyte diffusion into the structure,due to the well-organized structure with an optimized density of nanowires and large voids between the wires.

2.47 GPa grade ultra-strong 15Co-12Ni secondary hardening steel with superior ductility and fracture toughness

This study investigated the effect of multi-step heat treatment on the microstructure, mechanical properties and fracture behavior of thick 15 Co-12 Ni secondary hardening steel. As-quenched sample was found to have elongated prior austenite grain(PAG) and coarse lenticular martensitic structure. On the other hand, heat-treated sample was observed to have fine lenticular martensitic structure due to fine PAG size and a lot of nano-sized carbides. Also, after heat treatment, nano-scale reverted austenite film was formed at the martensite interfaces. The heat-treated sample showed 2.47 GPa superior tensile strength and superior elongation of about 12 %. The high strength was mainly due to fine block size and high number density of nano-sized carbides. The average value of plane strain fracture toughness(KIC) was 29.3 MPa m1/2, which indicated a good fracture toughness even with the high tensile strength. The tensile fracture surface was observed to have ductile fracture mode(cup-and-cone) and the formation of about ~1 μm ultra-fine dimples. In addition to this, nano-sized carbides were observed within the *** findings suggested that the nano-sized carbide had a positive effect not only on the strength but also on the ductility of the alloy. The fractured surface after toughness test, also showed ductile fracture mode with a lot of dimples. Based on the above results, correlation among microstructural evolution,deformation and fracture mechanisms along the heat-treatment was also discussed.

In this study,a CO_(2) capture material in the form of liquid-like adsorbents(LLAs) is developed to overcome the limitations of conventional types of *** increase in indoor activities necessitates the capture of CO_(2) in enclosed indoor *** spaces require safe and stable materials for CO_(2) capture because humans are present in these *** adsorbents are mainly used because liquid absorbents are unsuitable owing to noise and scattering *** LLA,the liquid absorbent assembled by carbon nanotubes(CNTs) is solidified and prevented from flowing and scattering *** present to maintain 95% of initial capacity after recycling 20 times,and have characteristics that can be regenerated in a low temperature heat source(80 to 120℃) and moisture *** work not only provides indoor useable CO_(2) capture materials,but also offers a new prospect in the field of adsorbents.
