Topological feature engineering for machine learning based halide perovskite materials design

Accelerated materials development with machine learning(ML)assisted screening and high throughput experimentation for new photovoltaic materials holds the key to addressing our grand energy ***-driven ML is envisaged as a decisive enabler for new perovskite materials ***,its full potential can be severely curtailed by poorly represented molecular descriptors(or fingerprints).Optimal descriptors are essential for establishing effective mathematical representations of quantitative structure-property *** we reveal that our persistent functions(PFs)based learning models offer significant accuracy advantages over traditional descriptor based models in organic-inorganic halide perovskite(OIHP)materials design and have similar performance as deep learning *** multiscale simplicial complex approach not only provides a more precise representation for OIHP structures and underlying interactions,but also has better transferability to ML *** results demonstrate that advanced geometrical and topological invariants are highly efficient feature engineering approaches that can markedly improve the performance of learning models for molecular data ***,new structure-property relationships can be established between our invariants and *** anticipate that our molecular representations and featurization models will transcend the limitations of conventional approaches and lead to breakthroughs in perovskite materials design and discovery.

Polymer-derived ceramic(PDC) thin films are promising wear-resistant coatings for protecting metals and carbon-carbon composites from corrosion and ***,the high pyrolysis temperature hinders the applications on substrate materials with low melting *** report a new synthesis route for PDC coatings using initiated chemical vapor deposited poly(1,3,5-trivinyl-1,3,5-trimethylcyclotrisiloxane)(pV_3D_3) as the precurs *** investigated the changes in siloxane moieties and the network topology,and proposed a three-stage mechanism for the thermal annealing *** rise of the connectivity number for the structures obtained at increased annealing temperatures was found with strong correlation to the enhanced mechanical properties and thermal *** PDC films obtained via annealing at 850℃ exhibit at least 14.6% higher hardness than prior reports for PDCs synthesized below 1100℃.Furthermore,thermal conductivity up to 1.02 W(mK)^(-1) was achieved at the annealing temperature as low as 700℃,which is on the same order of magnitude as PDCs obtained above 1100℃.Using minimum thermal conductivity models,we found that the thermal transport is dominated by diffusons in the films below the percolation of rigidity,while ultra-short mean-free path phonons contribute to the thermal conductivity of the films above the percolation *** findings of this work provide new insights for the development of wear-resistant and thermally conductive PDC thin films for durable protection coatings.

在寻求可再生能源供应及解决环境问题的迫切需求下,光电、光催化、电催化等领域中多种技术被开发以解决这一迫切问题。其中,光催化技术因其可将清洁太阳能转化为化学燃料的优越能力而备受关注。在层出不穷的光催化材料中,具有阳离子可替代性的钙钛矿氧化物(ABO_3)在电子信息、太阳能电池和光催化等领域具有极大的潜力。由于这类材料具有活性高、成本低、稳定性好、结构易调控等独特性能,钙钛矿氧化物光催化剂在水分解、二氧化碳还原转化、固氮等方面取得了广泛的应用。本文综述了光催化的结构与合成方法,重点介绍了光催化的应用,最后展望了光催化的未来发展前景。

针对滚动轴承的故障诊断,提出了一种基于词包模型和短时傅里叶变换的特征提取方法。根据轴承故障的产生机理,不同轴承的振动信号在频域上会有相应的能量分布规律,然而在实际现场中,信号干扰或者生产环境等因素会弱化这种规律性,使得在频谱上难以准确看到相应分布特征。当采用词包模型时,把每一时间帧下能量在频率维度上的分布看成一个单词,则每段信号就表示成了由各个单词组成的一篇篇文档,这就可以直接从数据的角度去揭示能量分布的这种规律性。然后,以词包模型处理后的结果作为特征向量,用SVM分类算法诊断出结果。最后用无锡某汽车生产线SQI-MFS实验平台和美国凯斯西储大学的轴承振动数据进行了实验,实验验证了该方法比时域特征(RMS)和时频域特征(WE&wee)的诊断结果精确,可以在滚动轴承故障诊断领域展开应用。
