Cuproptosis mediates copper-induced testicular spermatogenic cell death

Cuproptosis,a novel mechanism of programmed cell death,has not been fully explored in the context of spermatogenic *** investigated the potential involvement of cuproptosis in spermatogenic cell death using a mouse model of copper *** male Institute of Cancer Research(ICR)mice were randomly divided into four groups that received daily oral gavage withsodium chloride(control)or copper sulfate(CuSO_(4))at 50 mg kg^(−1),100 mg kg^(−1),or 200 mg kg^(−1),for 42 consecutive *** to copper overload exhibited a disruption in copper ***,significant upregulated expression of keycuproptosis factors was accompanied by a significant rise in the rates of testicular tissue cell *** revealed the presence of ferredoxin 1(Fdx1)in Sertoli cells,Leydig cells,and spermatogenic cells at various stages oftesticular development,and the Fdx1-positive staining area was significantly increased in copper-overloaded *** and decreased adenosine triphosphate levels were also observed,further implicating mitochondrial damage *** analyses revealed pathological lesions and blood−testis barrier destruction in the testicular tissue,accompaniedby decreased sperm concentration and motility,in copper-overloaded *** summary,our results indicate that copper-overloadedmice exhibit copper homeostasis disorder in the testicular tissue and that cuproptosis participates in spermatogenic cell *** findings provide novel insights into the pathogenic mechanisms underlying spermatogenic cell death and provide initialexperimental evidence for the occurrence of cuproptosis in the testis.

This editorial comments on the article“Efficacy of multi-slice spiral computed tomography in evaluating gastric cancer recurrence after endoscopic submucosal dissection”.We focus on the importance of paying more attention to postendoscopic submucosal dissection(ESD)gastric cancer recurrence in patients with early gastric cancer(EGC)and how to manage it *** has been a wellknown treatment and the mainstay for EGC,with the advantages of less invasion and fewer complications when compared with traditional surgical *** a lower local recurrence rate after ESD,the problem of postoperative recurrence in patients with EGC has become increasingly non-ignorable with the global popularization of ESD technology and the increasing number of post-ESD patients.

In this paper,we describe the minimal reducing subspaces of Toeplitz operators induced by non-analytic monomials on the weighted Bergman spaces and Dirichlet spaces over the unit ball B_(2).It is proved that each minimal reducing subspace M is finite dimensional,and if dim M≥3,then M is induced by a ***,the structure of commutant algebra v(T_(w)N_(z)N):={M^(*)_(w)NM_(z)N,M^(*)_(z)NM_(w)N}′is determined by N and the two dimensional minimal reducing subspaces of(T_(w)N_(z)*** also give some interesting examples.

In this paper,ambient IoT is used as a typical use case of massive connections for the sixth generation(6G)mobile communications where we derive the performance requirements to facilitate the evaluation of technical solutions.A rather complete design of unsourced multiple access is proposed in which two key parts:a compressed sensing module for active user detection,and a sparse interleaver-division multiple access(SIDMA)module are simulated side by side on a same platform at balanced signal to noise ratio(SNR)operating *** a proper combination of compressed sensing matrix,a convolutional encoder,receiver algorithms,the simulated performance results appear superior to the state-of-the-art benchmark,yet with relatively less complicated processing.

NOX4 promotes tumor progression through the MAPK-MEK1/2-ERK1/2 axis in colorectal cancer

BACKGROUND Metabolic reprogramming plays a key role in cancer progression and clinical outcomes;however,the patterns and primary regulators of metabolic reprogramming in colorectal cancer(CRC)are not well *** To explore the role of nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide phosphate oxidase 4(NOX4)in promoting progression of *** We evaluated the expression and function of dysregulated and survival-related metabolic genes using Gene Ontology and Kyoto Encyclopedia of Genes and *** clustering was used to cluster CRC based on dysregulated metabolic genes.A prediction model was constructed based on survival-related metabolic *** formation,migration,invasion,proliferation,apoptosis and clone formation was used to evaluate the biological function of NOX4 in *** sequencing was utilized to explore the alterations of gene expression NOX4 over-expression tumor *** vivo subcutaneous and lung metastasis mouse tumor model was used to explore the effect of NOX4 on tumor *** We comprehensively analyzed 3341 metabolic genes in CRC and identified three clusters based on dysregulated metabolic *** these genes,NOX4 was highly expressed in tumor tissues and correlated with worse *** vitro,NOX4 overexpression induced clone formation,migration,invasion,and stemness in CRC ***,RNA-sequencing analysis revealed that NOX4 overexpression activated the mitogen-activated protein kinase-MEK1/2-ERK1/2 signaling ***,a MEK1/2 inhibitor,abolished the NOX4-mediated tumor *** vivo,NOX4 overexpression promoted subcutaneous tumor growth and lung metastasis,whereas trametinib treatment can reversed the *** Our study comprehensively analyzed metabolic gene expression and highlighted the importance of NOX4 in promoting CRC metastasis,suggesting that trametinib could be a potential therapeutic drugs of CRC clinical therapy targeting NOX4.

This paper aims to develop an automatic miscalibration detection and correction framework to maintain accurate calibration of LiDAR and camera for autonomous vehicle after the sensor ***,a monitoring algorithm that can continuously detect the miscalibration in each frame is designed,leveraging the rotational motion each individual sensor ***,as sensor drift occurs,the projection constraints between visual feature points and LiDAR 3-D points are used to compute the scaled camera motion,which is further utilized to align the drifted LiDAR scan with the camera ***,the proposed method is sufficiently compared with two representative approaches in the online experiments with varying levels of random drift,then the method is further extended to the offline calibration experiment and is demonstrated by a comparison with two existing benchmark methods.

Experimental study of the damage characteristics of rocks containing non-penetrating cracks under cyclic loading

The damage evolution process of non-penetrating cracks often causes some unexpected engineering *** specimens containing non-penetrating crack(s)are used to study the damage evolution and characteristics under cyclic *** results show that under cyclic loading,the relationship between the number of non-penetrating crack(s)and the characteristic parameters(cyclic number,peak stress,peak strain,failure stress,and failure strain)of the pre-cracked specimens can be represented by a decreasing linear *** damage evolution equation is fitted by calibrating the accumulative plastic strain for each cycle,and the damage constitutive equation is proposed by the concept of effective ***,non-penetrating cracks are more likely to cause uneven stress distribution,damage accumulation,and local failure of *** local failure can change the stress distribution and relieve the inhibition of non-penetrating crack extension and eventually cause a dramatic destruction of the ***,the evolution process caused by non-penetrating cracks can be regarded as one of the important reasons for inducing *** results are expected to improve the understanding of the process of spalling formation and rockburst and can be used to analyze the stability of rocks or rock structures.

As an accurate 2D/3D fabrication tool,inkjet printing technology has great potential in preparation of micro electronic *** morphology of droplets produced by the inkjet printer has a great impact on the accuracy of *** this study,the drop-on-demand(DoD)inkjet simulation model was established,and the accuracy of the simulation model was verified by corresponding *** simulation result shows that the velocity of the droplet front and tail,as well as the time to disconnect from the nozzle is mainly affected by density(ρ),viscosity(μ)and surface tension(σ)of *** the liquid filament is about to disconnect from the nozzle,the filament length and filament front velocity are found to have a linear correlation withσ/ρμand ln(ρ/(μσ1/2)).
