OBJECTIVE： To investigate the effects of myelotomy on locomotor recovery in rats subjected to spinal cord injury. DATA SOURCES： Electronic databases including Pub Med, Science Citation Index, Cochrane library, China National Knowledge Infrastructure, Chinese Journals Full-text Database, China Biology Medicine disc, and Wanfang Database were searched to retrieve related studies published before September 2017. The Me SH terms（the Medical Subject Headings） such as ＂myelotomy＂, ＂spinal cord injuries＂, ＂rats＂, ＂randomized controlled trial＂ and all related entry terms were searched. DATA SELECTION： Randomized controlled trials using myelotomy for the treatment of acute spinal cord injury in rats were included. Basso, Beattie, and Bresnahan scores were adopted as the evaluation method. Rev Man Software（version 5.3） was used for data processing. The χ^2 and I^2 tests were used to assess heterogeneity. Using a random-effects model, a subgroup analysis was conducted to analyze the source of the heterogeneity. OUTCOME MEASURES： Basso, Beattie, and Bresnahan scores were observed 1–6 weeks after spinal cord ***： Six animal trials were included, using a total of 143 lab rats. The included trials were divided into two subgroups by injury degrees（moderate or severe）. The pooled results showed that, 1–6 weeks after spinal cord injury, the overall Basso, Beattie, and Bresnahan score was significantly higher in the myelotomy group than in the contusion group（weighted mean difference（WMD） = 0.60; 95% confidence interval（CI）： 0.23–0.97; P = 0.001; WMD = 2.10; 95% CI： 1.56–2.64; P 〈 0.001; WMD = 2.65; 95% CI： 1.73–3.57; P 〈 0.001; WMD = 1.66; 95% CI： 0.80–2.52; P 〈 0.001; WMD = 2.09; 95% CI： 0.92–3.26, P 〈 0.001; WMD = 2.25; 95% CI： 1.06–3.44, P 〈 0.001）. The overall heterogeneity was high（I^2 = 85%; I^2 = 95%; I^2 = 94%; I^2 = 88%; I^2 = 91%; I^2 = 89%）. BaCe_(0.8)Fe_(0.1)Ni_(0.1)O_(3−δ)(BCFN)in a perovskite structure is impregnated consecutively by BCFN solution and BCFN suspension into a phase-inversion prepared NiO–Gd_(0.1)Ce_(0.9)O_(2−δ)(GDC)scaffold as an anode for solid oxide fuel cells(SOFCs)with on-cell dry reforming of methane(DRM).The whole pore surface of the scaffold is covered by small BCFN particles formed by BCFN solution impregnation;the large pores near the scaffold surface are filled by BCFN aerogels with a high specific surface area produced by BCFN suspension impregnation,which act as a catalytic layer for on-cell *** reduction,the anode consists of a Ni–GDC scaffold and BCFN particles with exsolved FeNi3 *** BCFN-impregnated Ni–GDC anode has higher electrical conductivity,electrochemical activity,and resistance to carbon deposition,with which the cell shows maximum power densities between 1.44 and 0.92 W·cm^(−2) when using H_(2) and between 1.09 and 0.50 W·cm^(−2) when using CO_(2)–CH_(4) at temperatures ranging from 750 to 600℃.A stable performance at 400 mA·cm^(−2) and 700℃is achieved using 45%CO_(2)–45%CH_(4)–10%N_(2) for more than 400 h without carbon deposition,benefiting from the impregnated BCFN aerogel with a high specific surface area and water adsorbability.

Inclusions modification by rare earth in steel and the resulting properties: A review

Rare earth(RE) elements are excellent modifiers for non-metallic inclusions that inevitably appear in steel and affect steel properties. This paper reviews the research status of inclusions modification by RE elements and the changes it cause on steel properties. First, the inclusion changes caused by RE modification are described. Generally, after adding pure RE, the main evolution of inclusions occurs as M →M + RE-Al-O → RE-Al-O + RE_(2)O_(2)S → RE_(2)O_(2)S + RE—S/RE_(2)O_(2)S + RE-O with an increase in the RE content(M represents the inclusions before RE addition). The type of final inclusion obtained after RE modification is related to the relative contents of S and O in the steel. Moreover, fine, regular, and uniformly distributed inclusions can be obtained with appropriate RE addition. However, the effectiveness of inclusions modification by adding both RE and non-RE elements is closely related to the order of their addition. Second, the applications and advantages of thermodynamic calculations in the study of RE-modified inclusions are introduced. Third, the changes in the corrosion resistance, impact properties,and other properties of steel caused by the modification of inclusions by RE are reviewed. Finally, the perspectives and trends of inclusions modified by RE elements in the steel industry are presented.

A surface plasmon resonance （SPR） method was presented to discriminate hemodialyzed T-lymphocytes from the normal based on antibody--cell recognition. By dynamic reaction with fixed anti-human CD4 antibody, SPR could offer significant signals to distinguish hemodialyzed patients from the healthy controls within 200 s after the cell injection in respect of either rising speed or maximum binding capacity （p 〈 0.01）. The ratio method is also used to exclude the non-specific adsorption. The percentage of hemodialyzed patients＇ CD4＋ T ceils against the healthy control is 69 ± 18%. The most attractive of the present method is its ability to detect the intact and label-free lymphocytes, and further to detect the subpopulations, or proteins secreted by the desired lymphocytes subset.

The properties of the magnetic mold in magnetic mold casting directly determine the quality of the final cast *** this study,the magnetic mold properties in magnetic mold casting,were studied utilizing a coupled electromagnetic-structural method through numerical *** study investigated key factors including equivalent stress,the distribution of tensile and compressive stresses,and the area ratio of tensile *** compared molds made entirely of magnetic materials with those made partially of magnetic *** results indicate that as current increases from 4 A to 8 A,both the initial magnetic mold and the material-replaced magnetic mold initially show an increasing trend in equivalent stress,tensile-compressive stress,and the area ratio of tensile stress,peaking at 6 A before *** material replacement,the area ratio of tensile stress at 6 A decreases to 19.84%,representing a reduction of 29.72%.Magnetic molds comprising a combination of magnetic and non-magnetic materials exhibit sufficient strength and a reduced area ratio of tensile stress compared to those made entirely from magnetic *** study provides valuable insights for optimizing magnetic mold casting processes and offers practical guidance for advancing the application of magnetic molds.

Erosion wear is a common failure mode in the oil and gas industry. In the hydraulic fracturing, the fracturing pipes are not only in high-pressure working environment, but also suffer from the impact of the high-speed solid particles in the fracturing fluid. Beneath such complex conditions, the vulnerable components of the pipe system are prone to perforation or even burst accidents, which has become one of the most serious risks at the fracturing site. Unfortunately, it is not yet fully understood the erosion mechanism of pipe steel for hydraulic fracturing. Therefore, this article provides a detailed analysis of the erosion behavior of fracturing pipes under complex working conditions based on experiments and numerical simulations. Firstly, we conducted erosion experiments on AISI 4135 steel for fracturing pipes to investigate the erosion characteristics of the material. The effects of impact angle, flow velocity and applied stress on erosion wear were comprehensively considered. Then a particle impact dynamic model of erosion wear was developed based on the experimental parameters, and the evolution process of particle erosion under different impact angles, impact velocities and applied stress was analyzed. By combining the erosion characteristics, the micro-structure of the eroded area, and the micro-mechanics of erosion damage, the erosion mechanism of pipe steel under fracturing conditions was studied in detail for the first time. Under high-pressure operating conditions, it was demonstrated through experiments and numerical simulations that the size of the micro-defects in the eroded area increased as the applied stress increased, resulting in more severe erosion wear of fracturing pipes.
