Testosterone replacement is strictly contraindicated for the treatment of male infertility was the advanced view from the ＇2013 European Association of Urology （EAU） guidelines on male infertility＇, and this view brings extensive concern and questions. Although sufficient numbers of well-performed and controlled clinical trials that provide evidence supporting drug treatment of male infertility are not available at present, the opportunity to prove that these drugs are effective should not be prevented, and rigorous examination of drug therapy should be encouraged and strengthened. Therefore, I believe the above conclusion in the EAU guidelines is poorly conceived.

A target in layered medium can be located by the ridge-like distribution time reversal and reverse time migration(TR-RTM) mixed method. However, this method cannot distinguish between acoustic field distributions of the interface and target for the wider acoustic pulse signals, which may result in inaccurate location of the target. A snapshot TR-RTM mixed method is proposed to solve this problem. The principle of snapshot TR-RTM mixed method is first given. Experiments are then carried out, and a mountain-like acoustic field distribution is obtained by processing experimental data. The results show that the location of the peak is that of the target, and the ratio of the scattered signal and interface reflection signal(signal-to-interference ratio) is improved by about four times after processing. Furthermore, this method can effectively suppress the interface reflection signal and enhance the target scattering signal. Therefore, it can achieve effective detection and location of a target in a layered medium.

Solid-state batteries with solid polymer electrolytes are considered the most promising due to their high energy density and safety ***,their development is hindered by the limitations of polymer electrolytes,such as low ionic conductivity,poor mechanical strength and inadequate fire *** study presents a thin polyvinylidene fluoride-based composite solid electrolyte film(25μm incorporating twodimensional modified lipophilic lithium magnesium silicate(LLS)as additives with good *** incorporation of LLS promotes grain refinement in polyvinylidene fluoride(PVDF),enhances the densification of electrolyte films,increases the tensile strength to10.42 MPa and the elongation to 251.58%,improves ion transport interfac e,and facilitates uniform deposition of lithium ***,LLS demonstrates strong adsorption ability,promoting the formation of solvated molecules,resulting in high ionic conductivity(2.07×10^(-4)S·cm^(-1)at 30℃)and a stable lithium/electrolyte *** li//li cells assembled with the thin composite electrolytes exhibit stable cycling for2000 h at 0.1 mA·cm^(-2)and 0.05 mAh·cm^(-2).Additionally,the liFePO_(4)//li battery shows a capacity retention rate of99.9%after 200 cycles at 0.5C and room temperature.

The impact of erectile dysfunction is distressing to both males and their female partners, but less attention has been paid to identify female partners＇ preferred treatment and sexual quality of life outcomes. The present analysis explores female partners＇ treatment preference for erectile dysfunction in Chinese Men. This was a phase 4, randomized, open-label, multicenter, crossover study in Chinese men with erectile dysfunction who were na＇fve to phosphodiesterase type 5 inhibitor treatments. Eligible patients were randomized to sequential 20-mg tadalafil/100-mg sildenafil or lO0-mg sildenafil/20-mg tadalafil for 8 weeks each. Of 418 patients, female partners of 64 patients agreed to enter the study; of 64 patients who entered the study with female partners, 63 were randomized, and 62 completed the study. Baseline demographics and disease characteristics were comparable between treatment groups. Significantly more couples preferred tadalafil compared with sildenafil overall （75.4% vs 24.6%; P〈 0.001）, and irrespective of erectile dysfunction severity at baseline （P 〈 0.005）. Significant improvements in sexual quality of life scores were reported at endpoint （Visit 8） in male patients and female partners in both tadalafil and sildenafil treatment groups （P 〈 0.001）. Significantly higher mean changes from baseline were observed for male patients in the tadalafil group compared with the sildenafil group for the erectile function （P = 0.013） and overall satisfaction （P = 0.019） International Index for Erectile Function domains and the spontaneity domain （P〈 0.001） of the Psychological and Interpersonal Relationship Scale. No major safety concerns were reported during the study. Though both treatments were effective, safe, and tolerable, more couples preferred tadalafil compared with sildenafil.

Without prior knowledge of medium parameters,a method is proposed to detect and locate a target in layered *** were carried out for liquid/liquid and solid/liquid layered media,and the location of a target in them was obtained using three methods combined,i.e.,the least-square method,the method of finding minimum dispersal degree of target distribution,and the snapshot time reversal and reverse time migration mixed *** medium parameters,i.e.,the acoustic velocities of upper and lower media as well as the thickness of the upper medium,were inversed *** results show that the position of target is consistent with its actual ***,the detection and location of a target in layered media are achieved without prior knowledge of medium parameters,and it overcomes the difficulty that the common time reversal method only detects the target,but cannot locate it.

Objectives To determine whether -238G/A and -857C/T polymorphisms of tumor necrosis factor-alpha （TNF-o0 gene promoter were associated with outcomes of hepatitis B virus infection. Methods A total of 246 HBV self-limited infected subjects and 443 chronic hepatitis B （HB） patients were recruited in this case-control study. TNF-α-238G/A and -857C/T gene promoter polymorphisms were examined by polymerase chain reaction-restriction fragment length polymorphism （PCR-RFLP）. Results The frequency of TNF-α-238 GG （90.7%） in chronic HB group was significantly lower than that （95.1%） in self-limited group （P=0.041）. The frequency of TNF-oc-857 CC （79.7%） in chronic HB patients was significantly higher than that （70.9%） in self-limited infected subjects （P=0.021）. Multiple logistic regression analysis revealed that both TNF-oc-238GA and -857CC were independently associated with chronic HB. Conclusions TNF-α promoter variants are likely to play a substantial role in influencing the outcomes of HBV infection.

AIM： To determine whether -238G/A and -857C/T polymorphisms of tumor necrosis factor-alpha （TNF-α）, gene promoter and hepatitis B （HB） viral genotypes were associated with outcomes of HBV infection. METHODS： A total of 244 HBV self-limited infected subjects, 208 asymptomatic carriers, and 443 chronic HB patients were recruited to conduct a case-control study. TNF-α -238G/A and -857C/T gene promoter polymorphisms were examined by polymerase chain reaction-restriction fragment length polymorphism （PCR-RFLP）, and HBV genotypes were examined by nested PCR. RESULTS： The positive rate of HBV DNA in asymptomatic carder group and chronic HB group was 46.6% and 49.9%, respectively. HBV genotype proportion among the asymptomatic carriers was 2.1% for genotype A, 25.8% for genotype B, 68.0% for genotype C, and 4.1% for genotype B＋C mixed infection, and 0.9% for genotype A, 21.7% for genotype B, 71.5% for genotype C, 5.9% for genotype B＋C mixed infection in chronic HB group. There was no significant difference in genotype distribution between the asymptomatic carrier group and chronic HB group （X^2 = 1.66, P = 0.647）. The frequency of -238GG genotype in self-limited group was 95.1%, significantly higher than 90.7% in chronic HB group and 89.0% in asymptomatic carrier group （P = 0.041 and P = 0.016, respectively）.The frequency of TNF-α-857 CC in chronic HB group was 79.7%, significantly higher than 64.4% in asymptomatic carrier group and 70.9% in self-limited group （P〈0.001 and P = 0.023, respectively）. A multiple logistic regression analysis revealed that TNF-α-238GA and -857CC were independently associated with chronic HB after gender and age were ***： TNF-α promoter variants are likely to play a substantial role in the outcome of HBV infection.
