Numerical investigation of non-uniform temperature fields for proppant and fluid phases in supercritical CO_(2)fracturing

The non-uniform temperature distribution in supercritical CO_(2)(Sc-CO_(2))fracturing influences the density,viscosity,and volume expansion or shrinkage rate of Sc-CO_(2),impacting proppant *** study presents a coupled computational fluid dynamics-discrete element method and heat transfer model to examine the effects of proppant bed shape and the heat transfers of proppant-wall,proppant-fluid,and fluid-wall on the fluid and proppant temperature *** Sc-CO_(2)volume expansion is assessed under various temperature conditions by evaluating the volume-averaged Sc-CO_(2)*** factors,including proppant size,shape,thermal conductivity,concentration,temperature difference,and injection velocity,are carefully analyzed to elucidate their *** findings elucidate the existence of four distinct zones in the fluid temperature *** zone exhibits different magnitudes of temperature change under diverse conditions and undergoes dynamic transformations with the development of the proppant *** fluid-wall heat transfer and the fluid temperatures in Zones C and D are significantly subject to the fluid injection velocity(governing the heating duration),the temperature difference between fluid and formation(impacting the magnitude of heat flux),and the proppant bed shape(controlling the effective heating area).Additionally,the proppant-wall and proppant-fluid heat transfers determine the temperatures of both the proppant bed and the fluid within Zone B,showing a strong correlation with proppant thermal conductivity,proppant size,injection velocity,and temperature *** proposed coupled model provides valuable insights into the temperature distributions and flow behaviors of temperature-dependent fracturing fluids and proppants.

A Novel Design of a Pre-separation Panel Structure to Protect Against the Impact of an Explosion in an Aircraft Plenum Chamber

To reduce the damage of the pressurizing panel structure of a fuselage caused by an explosion at the“least risk bomb location”in an aircraft structure,a new pre-separation panel structure was designed to resist blast ***,the dynamic strain response and morphology of impact damage of the new pre-separation panel were measured in an impact damage ***,the commercial software LS-DYNA was used to calculate the propagation of the blast shock wave,and the results were compared with empirical equations to verify the rationality of the numerical calculation ***,the fluid–structure coupling method was used to calculate the damage process of the pre-separation panel structure under the impact of an explosion wave and an impact *** calculated results were in good agreement with the test results,which showed the rationality of the calculation method and the *** residual strength of the damaged pre-separation panel was significantly higher than that of the original damaged *** results show that the new pre-separation panel structure is reasonable and has certain significance for guiding the design of plenum chambers with strong resistance to implosion for aircraft fuselages.

Objective:To evaluate the efficacy and safety of Chinese herbal medicines(CHMs)combined with chemical drugs for the treatment of Alzheimer's disease(AD).Materials and Methods:Databases were searched to retrieve randomized controlled trials(RCTs)of CHMs combined with tacrine,galantamine,rivastigmine,donepezil,or memantine,following strict inclusion and exclusion *** research papers published in English,Chinese,and Japanese were *** primary outcome was the mini-mental state examination(MMSE)score and the secondary outcomes were AD assessment scale cognitive subscale(ADAS-Cog)score and safety ***-analysis was carried out using Rev Man 5.3 and subgroup analysis was conducted to identify the sources of ***:A total of 15 RCTs with 1386 participants were included in this *** donepezil was used in the retrieved ***-analyses showed that the combination of CHMs with donepezil led to significant improvement in the MMSE score(Z=9.45;P<0.00001;weighted mean difference[WMD]=2.68,95%confidence interval[CI]:2.12-3.24)and a significant decrease in the ADAS-Cog score(Z=5.53;P<0.00001;WMD=-3.79;95%CI:-5.13--2.44).Safety evaluation demonstrated that these combination treatments relieved adverse events such as insomnia(risk ratio[RR]=0.20,95%CI:0.06-0.68;P=0.01)and hive(RR=0.10;95%CI:0.01-0.73;P=0.02).Conclusions:The combination of CHMs with a chemical drug like donepezil led to significant improvements in patient cognition as well as a better safety profile when compared to the application of a chemical drug alone.

Recent progress in side chain engineering of Y-series non-fullerene molecule and polymer acceptors

Organic solar cells(OSCs) have drawn considerable attention in the last decade due to the great potential of light weight,flexibility, and low-cost solution processing. Particularly, Y-series non-fullerene acceptors(NFAs) including small molecular acceptors(SMAs) and polymerized small molecular acceptors(PSMAs) have become research hot spots due to their excellent power conversion efficiency. Side chain engineering is crucial to adjust the solubility and crystallinity of NFAs, which will significantly affect the morphology of active layers and the efficiency of OSCs. However, the understanding of side chain engineering on NFAs is still limited and lacks a systematic review. This review aims to provide a brief summary of the recent developments in side chain engineering of NFAs, with a special focus on the design and application of Y-series SMAs and PSMAs for high-efficiency non-fullerene organic solar cells(NF-OSCs). In addition, the review also points out challenges and provides useful guidance regarding side chain regulation for Y-series NFAs.

Repairing Achilles tendon has emerged as a long-standing challenge in the orthopaedic *** suture is the gold standard for re-attaching and repairing the fractured Achilles tendons in clinical surgeries,it is still subjected to numerous adverse side-effects,including chronic inflammatory,tendon tissue re-rupture,scar formation,and post-surgical peritendinous *** this work,we develop a class of hydrogel bioadhesives with tailored nanoscale phase separation for Achilles tendon *** address the existing limitations of sutures,our hydrogel bioadhesives encompass three core functionalities:(i)instant and tough adhesion to Achilles tendon tissues,(ii)extraordinary long-term adhesion robustness under wet and dynamic in vivo conditions,and(iii)anti-postsurgical peritendinous *** our hydrogel bioadhesives with sutures,such kind of integrated approach enables a conformable yet robust biointerface with the tendon tissues,and prevents the fibroblast migration and formation of connective tissues,thus facilitating the tendon *** hydrogel bioadhesives reported here open up new opportunities for the repairing of fractured Achilles tendons in diverse and complicated clinical scenarios.

Systematic study of the synthesis of heavy and superheavy nuclei in 48Ca-induced fusion-evaporation reactions

We systematically studied the evaporation residue cross sections of ^(48)Ca-induced reactions on lanthanide and actinide target nuclei under the Dinuclear System(DNS)model framework to check the reliability and applicability of the *** produce new proton-rich Fl and Lv isotopes through hot fusion reactions in the superheavy element region with Z≥104,we utilized the reactions ^(48)Ca+^(236,238,239) Pu and ^(48)Ca+^(242,243,244,250) ***,owing to the detection limit of available equipment(0.1 pb),only 283Fl and 287−289Lv,which have the maximum evaporation residue cross section values of 0.149,0.130,9.522,and 0.309 pb,respectively,can be ***,to produce neutron-deficient isotopes of actinides near the proton drip line with Z=93−100,we attempted to generate the new isotopes(224−227Pu,228−232,237Cm)using the reactions ^(48)Ca+180,182,183 W and ^(48)Ca+^(184,186,187,192) *** maximum evaporation residue cross section values are 0.07,0.06,0.26,and 0.30 nb for the former set of reactions,and 1.96 pb,5.73 pb,12.16 pb,19.39 pb,54.79 pb,and 6.45 nb for the latter,*** results are expected to provide new information for the future synthesis of unknown neutron-deficient isotopes.

Quantum wells and superlattices are key building blocks in the semiconductor industry,normally fabricated using epitaxial growth techniques,such as vapor phase epitaxy,metalorganic chemical vapor deposition and molecular beam ***,these complicated preparation processes,as well as their high cost,limit their extensive *** is essential to develop a simple solution process for building ***,we demonstrate an ion exchange strategy for synthesizing an allinorganic superlattice cesium lead bromide/layered double hydroxides(CsPbBr_3/LDH)in *** room temperature,the perovskite ions diffuse into the interlayer of LDH and assemble into layered perovskite with various *** with traditional organic-inorganic hybrid perovskite superlattice,the all-inorganic perovskite superlattice CsPbBr_(3)/LDH has weak quantum confinement,which exhibits narrow emission line-widths of 20 nm,high quantum yields of 55%,and radiative lifetimes of several *** findings offer a new route to synthesize novel perovskite superlattices and enrich the perovskite supercrystal platform for electronics,photonics and optoelectronics devices.

Off-Grid Compressed Channel Estimation with Parallel Interference Cancellation for Millimeter Wave Massive MIMO

Millimeter wave(mmWave)massive multiple-input multiple-output(MIMO)plays an important role in the fifth-generation(5G)mobile communications and beyond wireless communication systems owing to its potential of high ***,channel estimation has become very challenging due to the use of massive MIMO antenna ***,the mmWave channel has strong sparsity in the spatial angle domain,and the compressed sensing technology can be used to convert the original channel matrix into the sparse matrix of discrete angle *** the high-dimensional channel matrix estimation is transformed into a sparse recovery problem with greatly reduced computational ***,the path angle in the actual scene appears randomly and is unlikely to be completely located on the quantization angle grid,thus leading to the problem of power ***,multiple paths with the random distribution of angles will bring about serious interpath interference and further deteriorate the performance of channel *** address these off-grid issues,we propose a parallel interference cancellation assisted multi-grid matching pursuit(PIC-MGMP)algorithm in this *** proposed algorithm consists of three stages,including coarse estimation,refined estimation,and inter-path cyclic iterative inter-ference *** specifically,the angular resolution can be improved by locally refining the grid to reduce power leakage,while the inter-path interference is eliminated by parallel interference cancellation(PIC),and the two together improve the estimation *** results show that compared with the traditional orthogonal matching pursuit(OMP)algorithm,the normalized mean square error(NMSE)of the proposed algorithm decreases by over 14dB in the case of 2 paths.

Enhanced remediation of chlorpyrifos-contaminated soil by immobilized strain Bacillus H27

Chlorpyrifos is a pesticide widely used in agricultural production with a relatively long residual half-life in *** the problem of residual chlorpyrifos is of universal *** this study,rice hull biochar was used as an immobilized carrier to prepare the immobilized strain H27 for the remediation of chlorpyrifos-contamination *** microorganisms after remediation were investigated by ecotoxicological *** immobilized strain H27 had the highest removal rate of chlorpyrifos when 10%bacterial solution was added to the liquid medium containing 0.075-0.109 mm diameter biochar cultured for 22 *** study on the removal of chlorpyrifos by immobilized strain H27 showed that the initial concentration of chlorpyrifos in solution was 25mg/L,and the removal rate reached 97.4%after 7 days of *** the soil,the removal rate of the immobilized bacteria group increased throughout the experiment,which was significantly higher than that of the free bacteria and biochar treatment *** Biolog-ECO test,T-RFLP and RT-RCR were used to study the effects of the soil microbial community and nitrogen cycling functional genes during chlorpyrifos *** was found that ICP group had the highest diversity index among the four treatment *** microflora of segment containing 114 bp was the dominant bacterial community,and the dominant microflora of the immobilized bacteria group was more evenly *** influence of each treatment group on ammonia-oxidizing bacteria(AOB)was greater than on ammonia-oxidizing archaea(AOA).This study offers a sound scientific basis for the practical application of immobilized bacteria to reduce residual soil pesticides.
