Management of Pregnancy with Ankylosing Spondylitis

Objective To discuss the interaction between pregnancy and ankylosing spondylitis, and the management of pregnancy with ankylosing spondylitis. Methods Twelve cases of pregnancy with ankylosing spondylitis in Peking Union Medical College Hospital from September 2004 to July 2011 were analyzed retrospectively, focusing on the arteritis condition, pregnancy complications, and outcomes. Results All the 12 patients had full-term pregnancy. Five cases gave birth naturally, and 7 cases received cesarean section for maternity factors. No adverse pregnancy outcomes were encountered. Waist pain appeared in 2 cases in the second trimester, for both of which medication failed. One of the 2 cases had natural childbirth, while the other maintained pregnancy smoothly to cesarean section. Conclusions Pregnancy monitoring can help obtain favorable pregnancy outcomes. Attention should be paid to postpartum change of the illness.

The size and shape of rice grains influence their yield and commercial *** investigated the role of OsDA1,a rice homolog of the Arabidopsis DA1 gene,in regulating grain size and ***1 was highly expressed in young spikelets and *** overexpression led to enlarged seeds with increased width and decreased length/width ratio(LWR)and knocking out OsDA1 reduced grain width and increased grain length and LWR.A R310K point mutation in the DA1-like domain is a potential target for breeding for increased grain width and ***1 interacted with TCP gene-family proteins to regulate grain size and *** findings deepen our understanding of the molecular mechanisms underlying grain size regulation and provide useful information for improving grain yield.

Phases and microstructures of three high Zncontaining Al–Zn–Mg–Cu alloys were investigated by means of thermodynamic calculation method, optica microscopy（OM）, scanning electron microscopy（SEM）energy dispersive spectroscopy（EDS）, X-ray diffraction（XRD）, and differential scanning calorimetry（DSC） analysis. The results indicate that similar dendritic network morphologies are found in these three Al–Zn–Mg–Cu alloys. The as-cast 7056 aluminum alloy consists of aluminum solid solution, coarse Al/Mg（Cu, Zn, Al）2 eutectic phases, and fine intermetallic compounds g（MgZn2）. Both of as-cast 7095 and 7136 aluminum alloys involve a（Al）eutectic Al/Mg（Cu, Zn, Al）2, intermetallic g（MgZn2）, and h（Al2Cu）. During homogenization at 450 ℃, fine g（MgZn2） can dissolve into matrix absolutely. After homogenization at 450 ℃ for 24 h, Mg（Cu, Zn, Al）2 phase in 7136 alloy transforms into S（Al2Cu Mg） while no change is found in 7056 and 7095 alloys. The thermodynamic calculation can be used to predict the phases in high Zncontaining Al–Zn–Mg–Cu alloys.

Effective bulk phase and surface charge separation is critical for charge utilization during the photo-catalytic energy conversion *** this work,the ternary Ni_(2)P-NiS/twinned Mn_(0.5)Cd_(0.5)S(T-MCS)nanohybrids were successfully constructed via combining Ni_(2)P-NiS with T-MCS solid solution for visible light photocatalytic H_(2)evolution.T-MCS is composed of zinc blende Mn_(0.5)Cd_(0.5)S(ZB-MCS)and wurtzite Mn_(0.5)Cd_(0.5)S(WZ-MCS)and those two alternatively arranged crystal phases endow T-MCS with excellent bulk phase charge separation performance for the slight energy level difference between ZB-MCS and WZ-MCS.S-scheme carriers transfer route between NiS and T-MCS can accelerate the interfacial charge separation and retain the active electrons and holes,meanwhile,co-catalyst Ni_(2)P as electron receiver and proton reduction center can further optimize the H_(2)evolution reaction kinetics based on the surface Schottky barrier *** above-formed homo-heterojunctions can establish multiple charge transfer channels in the bulk phase of T-MCS and interface of T-MCS and Ni_(2)*** the synergistic effect of twinned homojunction,S-scheme heterojunction,and Schottky barrier,the ternary Ni_(2)P-NiS/T-MCS com-posite manifested an H_(2)production rate of 122.5 mmol h^(-1)g^(-1),which was 1.33,1.24,and 2.58 times higher than those of the NiS/T-MCS(92.4 mmol h^(-1)g^(-1)),Ni_(2)P/T-MCS(98.4 mmol h^(-1)g^(-1)),and T-MCS(47.5 mmol h^(-1)g^(-1)),*** work demonstrates a promising strategy to develop efficient sul-fides photocatalyst toward targeted solar-driven H_(2)evolution through homo-heterojunction engineering.

The subsecond, temporal, vesicular exocytosis is ubiquitous, but difficult detecting in communication mechanisms of cells. A microelectrode array （MEA）, fabricated by MEMS technology, was applied successfully for real-time monitoring of quantal exocytosis from single pheochromocytoma （PC12） cell, The developed MEA was evaluated by dopamine （DA） using electrochemical methods and the results revealed that the sensitivity of DA was improved to 12659.24 p.A L mmol 1 cm 2. The modified MEA was used to detect in vitro vesicular exocytosis of DA from single PCI 2 cells stimulated by concentrated 100 mmol L-1 K＋ cell solution. A total of 592 spikes were measured and analyzed by three parameters and the statistical results revealed the population of each parameter was an approximate Gaussian distribution, and on average, 1.31 × 106 ± 9.25× 104 oxidizable molecules were released in each quantal exocytosis. In addition, results also indicate that a single PC12 cell probably releases the spikes with T ranging from 25.6 ms to 35.4 ms corresponding to/max ranging from 45.6 pA to 65.2 pA. The devices, including a homemade computer interface and the MEA modified with polymer film, provides a new means for further research on the neural, intercellular, communication mechanism.

Clinical Analysis of Placenta Previa Complicated with Previous Caesarean Section

Objective To investigate the clinical features and treatment of placenta previa complicated with previous caesarean section. Methods The clinical data of 29 patients with placenta previa complicated with a previous caesarean section (RCS group) admitted in Peking Union Medical College Hospital during a period from 2003 to 2011 were retrospectively reviewed and compared with those of 243 patients with placenta previa without a previous caesarean section (FCS group) during the same period. Results There was no difference in the mean age (28.9±3.6 vs. 28.1±4.5 years) and the average gravidity (2.35±1.48 vs. 2.21±1.53) between RCS group and FCS group (all P>0.05). The RCS group had more preterm births (24.1% vs. 13.2%), complete placenta previa (55.2% vs. 4.9%), placenta accreta (34.5% vs. 2.5%), more blood loss during caesarean section (1412±602 vs. 648±265 mL), blood transfusion (51.7% vs. 4.9%), disseminated intravascular coagulation (13.8% vs. 2.1%), and obstetric hysterectomy (13.8% vs. 0.8%) than the FCS group (all P<0.05). The preterm infant rate (30.0% vs. 13.0%), neonatal asphyxia rate (10.0% vs. 4.9%), and perinatal mortality rate (6.7% vs. 0.4%) of the RCS group were higher than those of the FCS group (all P<0.05). Conclusions More patients had complete placenta previa and placenta accreta, postpartum hemorrhage, transfusion, uterine packing, obstetric hysterectomy, and perinatal morbidity in the placenta previa patients with previous caesarean section. The patient should be informed of the risk and unnecessary first cesarean sections should be avoided.

In this study,direct numerical simulations were conducted to investigate the compressible flow around a circular cylinder near a heated wall at a Reynolds number(Re)of 500 and a Mach number(Ma)of *** heating ratio T^(*)ranging from 1.0 to 1.6 represents the different situations of a heated wall,whereas the gap ratio ranges from 0.3 to *** study analyzed the impact of heating effect and wall proximity on flow characteristics and aerodynamic *** results indicated that the stability of the flow was enhanced as the gap ratio decreased or the heating ratio *** the calculation of enstrophy,it was found that the strength of shedding vortices weakens with a decrease in gap ratio or an increase in heating ***,the mean drag coefficient decreases as the heating ratio increases or the gap ratio *** contrast,the mean lift coefficient initially decreases and then increases as the gap ratio ***,the drag reduction mechanism was analyzed by examining the pressure distribution on the surface of the cylinder.

Quantum systems are exceedingly difficult to engineer because they are sensitive to various types of *** particular,timedependent noises are frequently encountered in experiments but how to overcome them remains a challenging *** this work,we propose a flexible robust control technique to resist time-dependent noises based on inverse geometric optimization working in the filter-function *** basic idea is to parameterize the control filter function geometrically and minimize its overlap with the noise spectral *** then effectively reduces the noise susceptibility of the controlled system *** show that the proposed method can produce high-quality robust pulses for realizing desired quantum evolutions under realistic noise ***,we demonstrate this method in examples including dynamical decoupling and quantum sensing protocols to enhance their performances.
