Lithospheric dripping in a soft collision zone:Insights from late Paleozoic magmatism suites of the eastern Central Asian Orogenic Belt

The closure of Paleo-Asian Ocean is considered to have occurred along the Solonker Suture in the southernmost segment of the Central Asian Orogenic Belt(CAOB),the largest Phanerozoic accretionary orogen on the *** suture branches to the east to form the northern Hegenshan-Heihe Suture and the southern Solonker-Changchun *** Hegenshan-Heihe Suture is an ideal natural laboratory for studying the post-collisional geodynamic processes operating in a soft collision zone driven by divergent double-sided *** we report results from an integrated study of the petrology,geochronology,geochemistry,and Sr-Nd-Hf isotopic compositions of the Early Carboniferous-Early Permian mag-matic suite in the Hailar Basin of the Xing'an-Erguna *** Early Carboniferous igneous rocks are represented by 356-349 Ma andesitic tuffs,exhibiting typical subduction-related features,such as enrichment in large-ion lithophile elements and depletion in high-field-strength *** features,together with the relatively depleted Sr-Nd-Hf isotopic compositions,constant Nb/Y values,but highly variable Rb/Y and Ba values indicate that these rocks were generated by partial melting of a depleted mantle wedge metasomatized by slab-derived *** Late Carboniferous-Early Permian magmatic suite(317-295 Ma)is characterized by high Sr contents(313-1080 ppm)and low Y contents(5-13 ppm),and these can be subdivided into calc-alkaline adakitic rocks and high-K calc-alkaline adakitic *** calc-alkaline adakitic rocks have higher values of Sr/Y,(Sm/Yb)_(source normalized),and Mg#,and lower values of Y,_(Ybsource normalized),and K_(2)O/Na_(2)O than the high-K calc-alkaline adakitic rocks,which suggests that the former was generated by partial melting of foundered lower continental crust and the latter by partial melting of normal lower continental *** on our new data,in conjunction with those in previous studies,we conclude that the tectonic evolution of the Hegenshan-H

Geochronology and Geochemistry of Late Devonian I- and A-type Granites from the Xing’an Block， NE China: Implication for Slab Break-off during Subduction of the Hegenshan–Heihe Ocean

We present detailed geochronological， geochemical， and zircon Hf isotopic data for Late Paleozoic granitic rocks from Handagai and Zhonghe plutons in the Xing’an Block， NE China， with aim of providing constraints on their origin and tectonic implications. New zircon U–Pb ages indicate they were formed in the Late Devonian （ca. 379 Ma） immediately after a striking 50 million year magmatic lull （ca. 430–380 Ma） in the Xing’an Block. Petrological and geochemical features suggest that the Handagai monzogranites and Zhonghe alkali-feldspar granites are I- and A-type granites， respectively， although both of them have high-K calc-alkaline features and positive zircon εHf（t） values （+3.47 to +10.77）. We infer that the Handagai monzogranites were produced by partial melting of juvenile basaltic crustal materials under a pressure of < 8–10 kbar， whereas the Zhonghe alkali-feldspar granites were generated by partial melting of juvenile felsic crustal materials at shallower depths （P ≤ 4 kbar）. Our results， together with published regional data， indicate their generation involves a subduction-related extensional setting. Slab break-off of the Hegenshan–Heihe oceanic plate may account for the subduction-related extensional setting， as well as the transformation of arc magmatism from the Early–Middle Devonian lull to the Late Devonian–Early Carboniferous flare-up in the Xing’an Block.

The construction of metal-organic coordination clusters（MCCs） using modular secondary building units is an important method for preparing functional *** this study,two new MCCs modularly assembled from Keggin-type {SiW12O40}H4TC4A=p-tert-Butylthiacalix[4]arene(SiW12) units and thiacalixarene-supported Co4-thiacalix[4]arene(Co4-TC4A polynuclear second-building units（PSBUs,H4TC4A=p-tert-Butylthiacalix[4]arene） are *** two MCCs,abbreviated as Co4-SiW12and Co8-SiW12,were structurally characterized by single-crystal X-ray *** Co4-SiW12is a supramolecular structure involving cation-anion interactions between Co4-TC4A PSBUs and ***8-SiW12features "barbell-like" shapes with two Co4-TC4A coordinatively linked to a Keggin-type SiW12unit on opposite via W-O_t-Co *** coordination of Co4-TC4A to SiW12in Co8-SiW12resulted in significantly improved photothermal conversion performances compared with Co4-SiW12and pure SiW12or ***-gap determination and photophysical analysis combined with density functional theory calculations indicated the binding mode between Co4-TC4A PSBUs and SiW12,which considerably influences the way of electron transport and the conversion ability of visible light to heat.

Moment Redistribution Effect of the Continuous Glass Fiber Reinforced Polymer-Concrete Composite Slabs Based on Static Loading Experiment

This study aimed to investigate the moment redistribution in continuous glass fiber reinforced polymer(GFRP)-concrete composite slabs caused by concrete cracking and steel bar yielding in the negative bending moment *** experimental bending moment redistribution test was conducted on continuous GFRP-concrete composite slabs,and a calculation method based on the conjugate beam method was *** composite slabs were formed by combining GFRP profiles with a concrete layer and supported on steel beams to create two-span continuous composite slab *** methods,epoxy resin bonding,and stud connection,were used to connect the composite slabs with the steel *** experimental findings showed that the specimen connected with epoxy resin exhibited two moments redistribution phenomena during the loading process:concrete cracking and steel bar yielding at the internal *** contrast,the composite slab connected with steel beams by studs exhibited only one-moment redistribution phenomenon throughout the loading *** the concrete at the internal support cracked,the bending moment decreased in the internal support section and increased in the midspan *** the steel bars yielded,the bending moment further decreased in the internal support section and increased in the mid-span *** GFRP profiles do not experience cracking,there was no significant decrease in the bending moment of the mid-span *** test specimens experienced compressive failure of concrete at the mid-span *** results showed good agreement between the calculated and experimental values of bending moments in the mid-span section and internal support *** proposed model can effectively predict the moment redistribution behavior of continuous GFRP-concrete composite slabs.

Sodium-ion batteries have emerged as competitive substitutes for low-temperature applications due to severe capacity loss and safety concerns of lithium-ion batteries at−20°C or ***,the key capability of ultrafast charging at ultralow temperature for SIBs is rarely ***,a hybrid of bi nanoparticles embedded in carbon nanorods is demonstrated as an ideal material to address this issue,which is synthesized via a high temperature shock *** a hybrid shows an unprecedented rate performance(237.9 mAh g^(−1)at 2 A g^(−1))at−60℃,outperforming all reported SIB anode *** with a Na_(3)V_(2)(PO_(4))_(3)cathode,the energy density of the full cell can reach to 181.9 Wh kg^(−1)at−40°*** on this work,a novel strategy of high-rate activation is proposed to enhance performances of bi-based materials in cryogenic conditions by creating new active sites for interfacial reaction under large current.

Precise measurements of the spectra of secondary and primary cosmic rays are crucial for understanding the origin and propagation of those energetic *** High Energy Cosmic-radiation Detection(HERD)facility on board China's Space Station,which is expected to operate in 2027,will push the direct and precise measurements of cosmic-ray fluxes up to PeV *** this work,we investigate the potential of HERD for studying the propagation of cosmic rays using measurements of boron,carbon,and oxygen *** find that,compared with the current results,the new HERD measurements can improve the accuracy of the propagation parameters by 8%–40%.The constraints on the injection spectra at high energies will also be improved.

Predicting overlapping protein complexes in weighted interactome networks

Protein complexes play important roles in integrating individual gene products to perform useful cellular *** increasing mount of protein–protein interaction(PPI)data has enabled us to predict protein *** spite of the advances in these computational approaches and experimental techniques,it is impossible to construct an absolutely reliable PPI *** into account the reliability of interactions in the PPI network,we have constructed a weighted protein–protein interaction(WPPI)network,in which the reliability of each interaction is represented as a weight using the topology of the PPI *** overlaps are likely to have biological importance,we proposed a novel method named WN-PC(weighted network-based method for predicting protein complexes)to predict overlapping protein complexes on the WPPI *** proposed algorithm predicts neighborhood graphs with an aggregation coefficient over a threshold as candidate complexes,and binds attachment proteins to candidate ***,we have filtered redundant complexes which overlap other complexes to a very high extent in comparison to their density and size.A comprehensive comparison between competitive algorithms and our WN-PC method has been made in terms of the F-measure,coverage rate,and *** have applied WN-PC to two different yeast PPI data sets,one of which is a huge PPI network consisting of over 6000 proteins and 200000 *** results show that WN-PC outperforms the state-of-the-art *** think that our research may be helpful for other applications in PPI networks.
