BACKGROUND Fungal esophagitis(FE)is caused by fungal invasion of the esophageal *** endoscopy,the esophageal mucosa shows edema,congestion,erosion,and ulceration,and bleeds easily when touched,and the surface of the mucosa is covered with small white spots like"bean curd residue".Clinical cases showing typical FE under endoscopic imaging but negative esophageal mucosal brush(referred to as suspected FE)have increased the difficulty and challenge of clinical diagnosis and *** present,the esophageal fungal flora of suspected case has not been thoroughly *** To characterize the fungal flora in FE,suspected FE,and the esophageal normal controls(NCs),and to identify marker species to improve detection of *** This was a case-control study.A total of 19 patients with FE,16 with suspected FE,and 10 NCs were selected by *** esophageal cell brush samples of each group were sequenced by internal transcribed spacer(ITS)1 and analyzed by *** In FE and suspected FE patients,species richness,species diversity and species evenness,as measured by the Chao1 index,Shannon index and Pielou index,were lower than in the NCs,and the comparison between the FE and NCs was the most significant(P<0.05).Compared with the NCs,the relative abundance of Candida in FE and suspected FE patients was significantly increased(P<0.001),while the relative abundance of Yarrowia was significantly decreased(P<0.05).Moreover,Yarrowia abundance in the FE group was significantly lower than in the NCs and suspected FE groups(P<0.001).The area under the curve for Candida in FE and suspected FE patients was 99.5%(P<0.05)and 81.3%(P<0.05),***,compared with FE patients,the relative abundance of Ascomycota and Candida in the esophageal flora of suspected FE patients was decreased,while the relative abundance of Yarrowia,Thermomyces and Pichia was *** ITS showed that composition of the fungal community was similar in the F

AIM:To elucidate the neuropathological mechanisms underlying diabetic vitreous hemorrhage(DVH)and its correlation with clinical ***:Twenty-one individuals with DVH(male/female 12/9;mean age 52.29±11.66y)were selected,alongside 21 appropriately matched controls with diabetes mellitus(DM).Voxel-based morphometry(VBM)techniques were employed to identify aberrant functional regions in the *** operating characteristic(ROC)curves were utilized for classification based on the average VBM values of the two groups,and Pearson correlation analysis was conducted to assess the relationship between average VBM values in distinct brain regions and clinical ***:Relative to the DM controls,DVH patients exhibited reduced VBM values in the right superior temporal pole,the right superior temporal gyrus,the right medial orbital frontal gyrus,and the left superior frontal ***,ROC curve analysis of these four brain regions in DVH patients demonstrated a high degree of accuracy,as indicated by the area under the *** average VBM value in each of these regions exhibited a negative correlation with both the duration of DVH and the score on the Hospital Anxiety and Depression Scale(HADS).CONCLUSION:Pathological alterations in four distinct brain regions are observed in patients with DVH,potentially reflecting neuropathological changes associated with this condition.

We treat even-order tensors with Einstein product as linear operators from tensor space to tensor space, define the mill spaces and the ranges of tensors, and study their relationship. We extend the fundamental theorem of linear algebra for matrix spaces to tensor spaces. Using the new relationship, we characterize the least-squares （M） solutions to a multilineax system and establish the relationship between the minimum-norm （N） leastsquares （M）solution of a multilinear system and the weighted Moore-Penrose inverse of its coefficient tensor. We also investigate a class of even-order tensors induced by matrices and obtain some interesting properties.

Evaluation of abandonment and recovery operation of steel lazy-wave riser in deepwater is presented in this *** calculation procedure includes two single continuous SLWR and cable segments, which are coupled together to form the overall mathematical model. Then the equilibrium equations of SLWR and cable are established based on minimum total potential energy principle. The coupled equations are discretized by the finite difference method and solved by Newton-Raphson technique in an iterative manner. The present method is validated by well-established commercial code OrcaFlex. Recovery methods by considering different ratios of vessel’s moving velocity to cable’s recovery velocity are evaluated to optimize the abandonment and recovery operation. In order to keep the tension more stable during the recovery process, the rate ratio before leaving the seabed is increased, and the rate ratio after leaving the seabed is reduced.
