In this work, we analyzed only the patients of the NSTEMI (non ST-segment elevation myocardial infarction) who arrived at the hospital within 12 h after symptoms started. Using NSTEMI follow-up data within, the characteristics of the clinical data, the risk factor, and the blood tested in the hospital visit were analyzed for MACE (major adverse cardiac events) patients. MACE includes cardiac death, MI (myocardial infarction), Re-PCI, and CABG (coronary artery bypass graft). As a result, from the NSTEMI patients which can be followed up for over 12 m, NT-ProBNP (p=0.014) and age (p=0.045) are found to be the independent risk factors related to MACE. Accordingly, they can be useful for the diagnosis and prognosis for NSTEMI patients as a biomarker.

For optimal design of a gating system,the setting of diagnosis parameters is very *** this study,the permanent mold casting process was selected because most of the other casting processes have more complicated factors that influence the mold filling pattern compared to the permanent mold casting process,such as the surface roughness of mold,gas generation from the mold wash and binder of sand mold,and the gas permeability through a sand mold,*** diagnosis parameters(flow rate difference and arrival time difference) of molten metal flow pattern in the numerical simulation are suggested for design of an optimum casting system with a permanent *** results show that the arrival time difference can be used as one important diagnosis parameter of the complexity of the runner system and its usefulness has been verified via making aluminum parts using permanent mold casting(Fig.9).

In general,as the radio frequency(RF)power increases in a capacitively coupled plasma(CCP),the power transfer efficiency decreases because the resistance of the CCP *** this work,a parallel resonance circuit is applied to improve the power transfer efficiency at high RF power,and the effect of the parallel resonance on the electron energy distribution function(EEDF)is investigated in a 60 MHz *** CCP consists of a power feed line,the electrodes,and *** reactance of the CCP is positive at 60 MHz and acts like an inductive load.A vacuum variable capacitor(VVC)is connected in parallel with the inductive load,and then the parallel resonance between the VVC and the inductive load can be *** the capacitance of the VVC approaches the parallel resonance condition,the equivalent resistance of the parallel circuit is considerably larger than that without the VVC,and the current flowing through the matching network is greatly ***,the power transfer efficiency of the discharge is improved from 76%,70%,and 68%to 81%,77%,and 76%at RF powers of 100 W,150 W,and 200 W,*** parallel resonance conditions,the electron heating in bulk plasma is enhanced,which cannot be achieved without the VVC even at the higher RF *** enhancement of electron heating results in the evolution of the shape of the EEDF from a biMaxwellian distribution to a distribution with the smaller temperature difference between high-energy electrons and low-energy *** to the parallel resonance effect,the electron density increases by approximately 4%,18%,and 21%at RF powers of 100 W,150 W,and 200 W,respectively.

The processing of high strength Al wrought alloys does lead either to restrictions for geometrical complexity or to high production costs due to low productivity and multiple-step processes. Thixoextrusion process to overcome these difficulties has been under investigation. In the present study, the effect of thixoextrusion parameters was investigated on mechanical properties of 7003 Al wrought alloy. The maximum extrusion pressure of the thixoextrusion process is three times lower than that of the hot extrusion process. The elongated grains which have the axisymmetry with extrusion direction are generally observed during hot extrusion process, while the microstructures of the thixoextruded are isotropic. The tensile and yield strengthes of the thixoextruded bar are lower than those of the hot extruded bar, while the elongation value of the thixoextruded bar is higher than that of the hot extruded bar.

Many animal studies have reported on the neural connectivity of the vestibular nuclei（VN）.however,little is reported on the structural neural connectivity of the VN in the human *** this study,we attempted to investigate the structural neural connectivity of the VN in 37 healthy subjects using diffusion tensor tractography.A seed region of interest was placed on the isolated VN using probabilistic diffusion tensor *** was defined as the incidence of connection between the VN and each brain *** VN showed 100% connectivity with the cerebellum,thalamus,oculomotor nucleus,trochlear nucleus,abducens nucleus,and reticular formation,irrespective of *** the threshold of 5 streamlines,the VN showed connectivity with the primary motor cortex（95.9%）,primary somatosensory cortex（90.5%）,premotor cortex（87.8%）,hypothalamus（86.5%）,posterior parietal cortex（75.7%）,lateral prefrontal cortex（70.3%）,ventromedial prefrontal cortex（51.4%）,and orbitofrontal cortex（40.5%）,*** results suggest that the VN showed high connectivity with the cerebellum,thalamus,oculomotor nucleus,trochlear nucleus,abducens nucleus,and reticular formation,which are the brain regions related to the functions of the VN,including equilibrium,control of eye movements,conscious perception of movement,and spatial orientation.

We report on a stroke patient who showed delayed gait recovery between 8 and 11 months after the onset of intracerebral hemorrhage. This 32-year-old female patient underwent craniotomy and drainage for right intracerebral hemorrhage due to rupture of an arteriovenous malformation. Brain MR images revealed a large leukomalactic lesion in the right fronto-parietal cortex. Diffusion tensor tractography at 8 months after onset revealed that the right corticospinal tract was severely injured. At this time, the patient could not stand or walk despite undergoing rehabilitation from 2 months after onset. It was believed that severe spasticity of the left leg and right ankle was largely responsible, and thus, antispastic drugs, antispastic procedures （alcohol neurolysis of the motor branch of the tibial nerve and an intramuscular alcohol wash of both tibialis posterior muscles） and physical therapy were tried to control the spasticity. These measures relieved the severe spasticity, with the result that the patient was able to stand at 3 months. In addition, the improvements in sensorimotor function, visuospatial function, and cognition also seemed to contribute to gait recovery. As a result, she gained the ability to walk independently on even floor with a left ankle foot orthosis at 11 months after onset. This case illustrates that clinicians should attempt to find the cause of gait inability and to initiate intensive rehabilitation in stroke patients who cannot walk at 3-6 months after onset.

AIM:To investigate the role of glucose transporter 1 (GLUT1) expression in colorectal carcinogenesis and evaluate the correlation with clinicopathological parameters and apoptosis-activating factor-1 (Apaf-1) expression in colorectal adenocarcinomas. METhoDS:We used tissue microarrays consisting of 26 normal mucosa,50 adenomas,515 adenocarcinomas,and 127 metastatic lesions. Medical records were reviewed and clinicopathological analysis was performed. RESULTS:GLUT1 expression was absent in normal mucosa and low or moderately apparent in 19 cases (38.0%) of 50 adenomas. however,GLUT1 expression was detected in 423 (82.1%) of 515 adenocarcinomas and in 96 (75.6%) of 127 metastatic lesions. GLUT1 expression was significantly correlated with female gender (P = 0.009),non-mucinous tumor type (P = 0.045),poorer differentiation (P = 0.001),lymph node metastasis (P hologic phenotypes and survival of patients with colorectal adenocarcinomas.

An object segment similarity function is taken into account from the continuous media frames to measure the individual streaming profit of certain segment versions of a media ***,a new segment version-based transcoding(SVT)mechanism is derived for a quality of service(QoS)of client-centric media streaming in wireless mobile *** derived function utilizes the fuzzy similarity of certain segment versions of an *** mechanism provides the effectiveness of reduction of the stream startup latency among segment versions,and the average access of each ***,the proposed segment version transcoding mechanism reduces packet loss which in turn increases streaming performance and *** performance of the partitioned segment versions is simulated and some segment versions are *** simulation results show that the proposed mechanism outperforms the other mechanisms in average cache hit ratio and in average startup latency ratio.

Fritless packed silica gel columns were prepared using sol-gel technology, The part of a 75 μm i.d. capillary was filled with a mixture of methacryloxypropyltrimethoxysilane, toluene and hydrochloric acid. Four different photoinitiators such as benzoin methyl ether, Irgacure 819, Irgacure 1700 and Irgacure 1800 were added in the presence or absence of sodium dodecyl sulfate during the polymerization process. The above eight solutions were irradiated at 365 nm about 5-10 min to prepare the porous monolithic sol-gel columns by a one-step process.

A mathematical model and finite element model for analysis of temperature rise of the hoisting machine brake sys- tem was constructed, limit conditions were defined, and the law of temperature rise of brake shoes during emergent brake course was analyzed and calculated by using finite element software. By analyzing the calculation results, the law of tempera- ture change of surface of brake disk and shoes during the braking process was found. The law of brake shoes surface tempera- ture distribution and the law of temperature change along with thickness of brake shoes at brake time 0.5 s, 1.0 s and 1.5 s was analyzed. A hoisting machine emergent braking test was carried out. Finally, the author concluded that velocity rebound in the process of hoisting machine emergent brake is due to decreased friction coefficient caused by the temperature rise of the brake shoes surface.
