High spatiotemporal resolution radiances from the advanced imagers onboard the new generation of geostationary weather satellites provide a unique opportunity to evaluate the abilities of various reanalysis datasets to depict multilayer tropospheric water vapor(WV),thereby enhancing our understanding of the deficiencies of WV in reanalysis datasets.Based on daily measurements from the Advanced Himawari Imager(AHI)onboard the Himawari-8 satellite in 2016,the bias features of multilayer WV from six reanalysis datasets over East Asia are thoroughly evaluated.The assessments show that wet biases exist in the upper troposphere in all six reanalysis datasets;in particular,these biases are much larger in summer.Overall,we find better depictions of WV in the middle troposphere than in the upper troposphere.The accuracy of WV in the ERA5 dataset is the highest,in terms of the bias magnitude,dispersion,and pattern similarity.The characteristics of the WV bias over the Tibetan Plateau are significantly different from those over other parts of East Asia.In addition,the reanalysis datasets all capture the shift of the subtropical high very well,with ERA5 performing better overall.

Prevalence of prolonged grief disorder and its symptoms among bereaved individuals in China: a systematic review and meta-analysis

Background The prevalence of prolonged grief disorder (PGD) and its symptoms among the bereaved population in China vary considerably.Aims This meta-analysis aims to estimate the prevalence of PGD and its symptoms among bereaved individuals in China.Methods We conducted a literature search in major Chinese and English databases from their inception to 4 October 2023, for cross-sectional studies on the prevalence of PGD or its symptoms in bereaved Chinese individuals. The risk of bias of the included studies and certainty of the evidence were assessed using the Joanna Briggs Institute Critical Appraisal Checklist for Studies Reporting Prevalence Data ('JBI checklist') and the Grading of Recommendations, Assessment, Development and Evaluations (GRADE), respectively. The 'metaprop' package in R V.4.1.2 was used to synthesise the prevalence.Results A total of 28 studies involving 10 994 bereaved individuals were included in the analysis, with JBI checklist scores between 3 and 7. The combined prevalence (95% confidence interval) of PGD and its symptoms was 8.9% (4.2% to 17.6%) and 32.4% (18.2% to 50.8%), respectively. PGD and its symptoms were most prevalent among those who had lost their only child (22.7%) and those bereaved by earthquakes (80.4%), respectively. The GRADE system assigned a very low certainty level to the evidence for the pooled prevalence of PGD and its symptoms.Conclusions The pooled prevalence of PGD and its symptoms indicate a potential high need for grief counselling services among bereaved individuals in China. This need is particularly pronounced in those who have lost their only child and those bereaved due to earthquakes. Further methodologically rigorous studies are needed to provide more accurate prevalence estimates.PROSPERO registration number CRD42023432553.

Defect engineering has been demonstrated to be an appealing strategy to boost the photocatalytic activity of materials.However,can higher defect concentration bring about higher photocatalytic activity?This is an open question.In this work,BiPO_(4)photocatalysts with controllable oxygen vacancy concentrations were successfully synthesized.The photocatalytic activity of the obtained BiPO_(4)photocatalysts was determined by the removal of ciprofloxacin and 4-chlorophenol,as well as CO_(2)photoreduction.The BiPO4materials with lower oxygen vacancy concentration could display unexpected higher photocatalytic efficiency.Through the investigation of different factors which may affect the photocatalytic performance,such as crystal structure,morphology,specific surface area,defect,and energy band structure,it can be found that the energy band structure difference was responsible for the enhanced photocatalytic activity.

Two-weight Norm Inequalities for Local Fractional Integrals on Gaussian Measure Spaces

In this paper,the authors establish the two-weight boundedness of the local fractional maximal operators and local fractional integrals on Gaussian measure spaces associated with the local weights.More precisely,the authors first obtain the two-weight weak-type estimate for the locala fractional maximal operators of orderαfrom L^(p)(v)to L^(q,∞)(u)with 1≤p≤qdition of(u,v)∈∪b>a A_(p,q,a)^(b') ,and then obtain the two-weight weak-type estimate for the local fractional integrals.In addition,the authors obtain the two-weight strong-type boundedness of the local fractional maximal operators under a condition of(u,v)∈M_(p,q,a)^(6a+9√da^2) and the two-weight strong-type boundedness of the local fractional integrals.These estimates are established by the radialization method and dyadic approach.

Objective:The nuclear factor erythroid 2(NFE2)-related factor 2(Nrf2)is associated with doxorubicin(DOX)-induced cardiac injury.It has been reported that microRNA-24-3p(miR-24-3p)may regulate the Keapl by mRNA degradation,whereas Keapl can suppress the activation of Nrf2.However,the role of miR-24-3p in DOX-related cardiotoxicity remains unclear.

dichloromethane(DCM)has been listed as a toxic and harmful water pollutant,and its re moval needs attention.Microbial electrolysis cells(MECs)are viewed as a promising alterna tive for pollutant removal,which can be strengthened from two aspects:microbial inocula tion and acclimation.In this study,the MEC for DCM degradation was inoculated with the ac tive sludge enhanced by Methylobacterium rhodesianum H13(strain H13)and then acclimated in the form of a microbial fuel cell(MFC).Both the introduction of strain H13 and the initi ation in MFC form significantly promoted DCM degradation.The degradation kinetics were fitted by the Haldane model,with V_(max),K_(h),K_(i)and v_(max)values of 103.2 mg/L/hr,97.8 mg/L268.3 mg/L and 44.7 mg/L/hr/cm^(2),respectively.The cyclic voltammogram implies that DCM redox reactions became easier with the setup of MEC,and the electrochemical impedance spectrogram shows that the acclimated and enriched microbes reduced the charge transfe resistance from the electrode to the electrolyte.In the biofilm,the dominant genera shifted from Geobacter to Hyphomicrobium in acclimation stages.Moreover,Methylobacterium played an increasingly important role.DCM metabolism mainly occurred through the hydrolytic glutathione S-transferase pathway,given that the gene dcmA was identified rather than the dhlA and P450/MO.The exogenous electrons facilitated the reduction of GSSG,directly o indirectly accelerating the GSH-catalyzed dehalogenation.This study provides support fo the construction of an efficient and stable MEC for DCM removal in water environment.

Novel graphene-like boron nitride(BN)/Bi_(3)O_(4)Br photocatalysts have been controllably synthesized through a facile solvothermal method for the first time. Layer contact stacking between graphene-like BN and ultrathin Bi_(3)O_(4)Br was achieved with strong interaction. Dehalogenation is designed to harvest more visible light, and the ultrathin structure of Bi_(3)O_(4)Br is designed to accelerate charge transfer from inside to the surface. After graphene-like BN was engineered, photocatalytic performance greatly improved under visible light irradiation. Graphene-like BN can act as a surface electron-withdrawing center and adsorption center, facilitating molecular oxygen activation. O_(2)^(·-)was determined to be the main active species during the degradation process through analyses of electron spin resonance and XPS valence band spectra.

Air concentration distribution in the impact zone of spillway aerator

The chute aerators separate the flow from the chute bottom,and the violent turbulence is generated after the flow impacts the bottom.Although the chute aerators were widely investigated experimentally,the air concentration distribution of the lower jet in the impact zone remains to be explored systematically.In the impact zone,it is observed that a portion of the air stays in the rollers instead of traveling with the flow,decreasing the air transportation capacity.Based on extensive tests,a comprehensive formula is developed to compute the air concentration distribution in the impact zone,with results in good agreement with the model tests.
