The petroleum geological features of hydrocarbon source rocks in the Oriente Basin in Ecuador are studied in detail to determine the potential of shale gas resources in the basin. The favorable shale gas layer in the vertical direction is optimized by combining logging identification and comprehensive geological analysis. The thickness in this layer is obtained by logging interpretation in the basin. The favorable shale gas accumulation area is selected by referring to thickness and depth data. Furthermore, the shale gas resource amount of the layer in the favorable area is calculated using the analogy method. Results show that among the five potential hydrocarbon source rocks, the lower Napo Formation is the most likely shale gas layer. The west and northwest zones, which are in the deep-sea slope and shelf sedimentary environments, respectively, are the favorable areas for shale gas accumulation. The favorable sedimentary environment formed thick black shale that is rich in organic matter. The black shale generated hydrocarbon, which migrated laterally to the eastern shallow water shelf to form numerous oil fields. The result of the shale gas resource in the two favorable areas,as calculated by the analogy method, is 55,500×10;m;. This finding shows the high exploration and development potential of shale gas in the basin.

Industrial solid waste flow analysis of eco-industrial parks： implications for sustainable waste management in China

Sustainable waste management in the industrial ecology perspective brings enormous challenges to the existing methodology of waste analysis at the industrial park （IP） scale. In this study, a four-step method was proposed for industrial solid waste （ISW） flow analysis of eco-industrial parks （EIPs） and applied to two IPs in eastern China. According to a park-wide census of 619 industrial enterprises and 105 questionnaires by a survey from 2006 to 2008, the results indicated that： 1） at the enterprise scale, more than 60% of enterprises were small- ISW-generation enterprises which encountered great difficulties on effective waste management; 2） at the IP scale, though the two IPs have set up their own environmental management systems and passed the ISO 14001 certification, the efficiencies of the ISW manage- ment systems have yet to be improved in the industrial ecology perspective; and 3） at the regional scale, more than 97% of ISW flowed within the provincial region, indicating that the provincial governments prevented the wastes from flowing into their own ＂back yard＂. Effective waste management should be placed in a broader perspective. Approaches to sustainable waste management may include wastes exchange, efficient waste and information flow, virtual EIP, waste minimization clubs and regionalization of waste management.

In this work,a flowing material balance equation(FMBE) is established for under saturated coalbed methane(CBM) reservoirs,which considers immobile free gas expansion effect at the dewatering *** on the established FMBE,five straight-line methods are proposed to determine the control area,initial water reserve,initial free gas reserve,initial adsorbed gas reserve,original gas in place,as well as permeability at the same ***,the proposed FMBE methods for undersaturated CBM reservoirs are validated against a reservoir simulation software with and without considering free gas ***,the proposed methods are applied in a field case when considering free gas expansion *** cases show that the straight-line relationships for the proposed five FMBE methods are excellent,and good agreements are obtained among the actual reserves and permeabilities and those evaluated by the proposed five FMBE methods,indicating the proposed five FMBE methods are effective and rational for CBM *** show that a small amount of free gas will result in a great deviation in reserve evaluation;hence,the immobile free gas expansion effect should be considered when establishing the material balance equation of undersaturated CBM reservoirs at the dewatering stage.

A sensitive and selective liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometric（LC —MS/MS）method was established to determine 2-oxo-clopidogrel,a crucial intermediate metabolite in human plasma.A chromatographic separation was performed on a Sapphire C_（18） column following a liquid-liquid extraction sample preparation with methyl t-butyl *** was carried out on a triple quadrupole mass spectrometer operated in multiple reaction monitoring（MRM） with an electrospray ionization（ESI）*** method was validated in terms of specificity,accuracy,precision and limit of *** calibration curves ranged from 0.50 to 50.0 ng/mL with good *** stability was fully validated with addition of 1,4-dithio-DL-threitol（DTT） into the plasma sample prior to and in the preparation *** validated method was proved to be suitable for use in pharmacokinetic study after single oral administration of 75 mg clopidogrel tablets in human subjects,which could make contribution to intensive study of the clinical drug-drug interactions of clopidogrel and individual treatment.

An idea of estimating the direct sequence spread spectrum（DSSS） signal pseudo-noise（PN） sequence is presented. Without the apriority knowledge about the DSSS signal in the non-cooperation condition, we propose a self-organizing feature map（SOFM） neural network algorithm to detect and identify the PN sequence. A non-supervised learning algorithm is proposed according the Kohonen rule in SOFM. The blind algorithm can also estimate the PN sequence in a low signal-to-noise（SNR） and computer simulation demonstrates that the algorithm is effective. Compared with the traditional correlation algorithm based on slip-correlation, the proposed algorithm＇s bit error rate（BER） and complexity are lower.

A simple surface treatment was used to develop photocatalytic activity for stainless steel. AISI 304 stainless steel specimens after anodization were implanted by Ti ions at an extracting voltage of 50 kV with an implantation dose of 3 × 10^15 ***-2 and then annealed in air at 450℃ for 2 h. The morphology was observed by scanning electron microscopy. The microstructure was characterized by X-ray diffraction and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy. The photocatalytic degradation of methylene blue solution was carried out under ultraviolet light. The corrosion resistance of the stainless steel was evaluated in NaCl solution （3.5 wt%） by electrochemical polarization curves. It is found that the Ti ions depth profile resembles a Gaussian distribution in the implanted layer. The nanostructured Fe203/TiO2 composite film exhibits a remarkable enhancement in photocatalytic activity referenced to the mechanically polished specimen and anodized specimen. Meanwhile, the annealed Ti-implanted specimen remains good corrosion resistance.

The effect of various retrogression and re-aging(RRA)treatments on mechanical properties and corrosion behavior of a new type Al-Zn-Mg-Cu-Er-Zr alloy was investigated by microhardness testing,tensile testing,intergranular corrosion(IGC)and exfoliation corrosion(EXCO)*** results show that the RRA treatment can effectively improve the IGC and EXCO resistance with less strength sacrificing because the grain interior precipitates and the grain boundary precipitates are similar to that of T6 temper and T73 ***,as the microhardness of the retrogressed alloy reaches the peak value during the retrogression at 170℃,the corresponding RRA-treated alloy possesses the better strength,but the corrosion resistance is poor in comparison with that of the retrogression at 190℃.The optimal combination of strength,IGC and EXCO resistance is obtained after retrogression at 180℃for 60 ***,for different heat treatment tempers,the corresponding micros true tural evolution of the precipitates including Al_(3)(Er,Zr)particles was also discussed in detail.

The morphologies of alveolar rhabdomyosarcoma(ARMS) are various. Some cases entirely lack an alveolar pattern and instead display a histological pattern that overlaps with embryonal rhabdomyosarcoma(ERMS). The method of pathological diagnosis of ARMS and ERMS has been updated in the 4th edition of the World Health Organization's guidelines for classification of skeletal muscle tumors. Under the new guidelines, there is still no molecular test to distinguish between these two subtypes of rhabdomyosarcoma(RMS). In the present study, we applied fluorescent in situ hybridization(FISH) and found that the Forkhead box O1(FOXO1) gene broke apart, amplified, and displayed an aneuploid signal that was related to the RMS pathological *** from the fact that FOXO1 break-apart and its amplification were correlated with atypical ARMS, aneuploidies were usually found in atypical ERMS. In conclusion, our results detail a potential biomarker to improve the accuracy of pathological diagnosis by discriminating between atypical ARMS and atypical ERMS.

Correlation between TERT C228T and clinic-pathological features in pediatric papillary thyroid carcinoma

The aims of the present study were to reveal the prevalence of the TERT C228 T mutation in pediatric papillary thyroid carcinoma(PPTC) and to further investigate the role of the TERT C228 T mutation in PPTC. We also tested another TERT mutation, TERT C250 T, although this was not detected in PPTC patients. In this study, 48 patients with PPTC(41 with classic PPTC) were enrolled. DNA was extracted from PPTC tissues and TERT C228 T mutation analysis was performed. Chi-squared analysis,Fisher’s exact test, and a t-test were applied to test the significance of differences. The TERT C228 T mutation presented in 13(27.1%) of the 48 PPTC patients and 10(24.4%) of the 41 classical PPTC patients. There were significant differences between PPTC patients with the TERT C228 T mutation and those without in terms of modified radical neck dissection, multifocality,capsular invasion, extrathyroidal invasion, and American Joint Committee on Cancer(AJCC) tumor stage(Ptain aggressive clinic-pathological features of PPTC.
