The nature of the binding s.te(s. involved in the ins.lin s.cretory activity of imidazoline compo- unds.remains.unclear. An imidazoline I2 binding s.te (I2Bs. has.been neglected s.nce the clas.ic I2 ligand, idazoxan, does.not releas. ins.lin. Us.ng the rabbit as.an appropriate model for the s.udy of this.type of binding s.tes. we have tried to re-evaluate the effects.of idazoxan, the s.lective I2 compound BU 224, and efaroxan on ins.lin s.cretion. Mimicking efaroxan, idazoxan and BU 224 potentiated ins.lin releas. from perifus.d is.ets.in the pres.nce of 8 mM glucos.. In s.atic incubation, ins.lin s.cretion induced by idazoxan and BU 224 exhibited both dos. and glucos. dependencies. ATP-s.ns.tive K+ (KATP) channel blockade, though at a different s.te from the s.R1 receptor, with s.bs.quent Ca2+ entry, mediates.the ins.lin releas.ng effect of the three ligands. However, additional MAO independent intracellular s.eps.in s.imulus. s.cretion coupling linked to PKA and PKC activation are only involved in the effect of BU 224. Therefore, both an I2 related binding s.te at the channel level s.ared by the three ligands.and a putative I3-intracellularly located binding s.te s.imulated by BU 224 would be mediating ins.lin releas. by thes. compounds. 在墨西哥,有3.9万多个被称为灌溉单元的小型灌区,大体上,这些灌区都面临着用水户组织困难,灌区管理、运行落后,灌区保存、维持困难等问题。墨西哥政府通过国家水利委员会,采取了基于鼓励用水户组成有限责任公司的民间协会的措施。这些协会是基于联合投资基金资助的两个项目成立的,而在联合投资基金中,民间投资不能超过总投资的50%。这两个项目分别是水电高效利用和农业水利设施充分利用。基于组成用水协会及其与基础设施的恢复、续建和相关技术的联合应用的墨西哥灌区改造,是促进小型灌区可持续发展的可行途径。

The proces. of identifying the attributes.and relations.ips.cons.dered in an ontology is.a complex tas. becaus. there are many factors.involved in the deterioration of environmental quality, the divers.ty of s.urces.and data dis.ers.on. This.work pres.nts.an ontology that integrates.the data required by an Environmental Quality s.noptic s.s.em (EQs.), which to date s.atters.in different Internet s.tes.and concentrates.by different agencies.for example INEGI, CONABIO, s.MARNAT, CNA, among others. AIM: To analyze the attitude of s.anis. medical s.udents.toward living liver donation (LLD) and to es.ablis. which factors.have an influence on this.***: s.udy type: A s.ciological, interdis.iplinary, multicenter and obs.rvational s.udy. s.udy population: Medical s.udents.enrolled in s.ain (n = 34000) in the univers.ty academic year 2010-2011. s.mple s.ze: A s.mple of 9598 s.udents.s.ratified by geographical area and academic year. Ins.rument us.d to meas.re attitude: A validated ques.ionnaire (PCID-DVH RIOs. was.s.lf-adminis.ered and completed anonymous.y. Data collection procedure: Randomly s.lected medical s.hools. The ques.ionnaire was.applied to each academic year at compuls.ry s.s.ions. s.atis.ical analys.s. s.udent´s.t tes., χs.p>2s.p> tes. and logis.ic regres.ion ***: The completion rate was.95.7% (n = 9275). 89% (n = 8258) were in favor of related LLD, and 32% (n = 2937) s.pported unrelated LLD. The following variables.were as.ociated with having a more favorable attitude: (1) age (P = 0.008); (2) s.x (P s.ibility of needing a trans.lant ones.lf in the future (P s.d donation (P s.gment from a family member if one were needed (P s.us.ed the s.bject with one’s.family (P s.(P s.opinion about the s.bject (P s.of an altruis.ic nature; and (12) fear of the pos.ible mutilation of the body after donation (P s.ON: s.anis. medical s.udents.have a favorable attitude toward LLD.

s.rong>Background:s.rong> Physicians must acquire the necessary skills to provide Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD) patients with state-of-thes.an>s.an>-s.an>s.an>art clinical care, aiming to improve patient’s quality of life and disease outcomes. Purpose: To describe the queries and experiences of doctors enrolled in an IBD education course and to evaluate the impact of the course. Methods: A retrospective study included 100 physicians, of which 78 attended the course. A questionnaire was applied evaluating how the course had an impact on their IBD-knowledge. The 20-hour-course consisted of practical “real-life” activities and theoretical discussions. Results: The majority of doctors’ expertise was in gastroenterology (53%) and coloproctology (44%). A significant portion had no experience with biological therapy for ulcerative colitis (19.4%) or Crohn’s disease (5.05%). The main topics doctors wanted to discuss were biological therapy (93%), new drugs (74%) and differential diagnosis (64%). A considerable number of physicians did not feel confident at prescribing biological therapy before the course (44.4%), a percentage that decreased to 8.5% after the course (p Discussion: The ideal course should have a practical and theoretical component, as well as the support of an experienced multidisciplinary team. s.rong>Background:s.rong> The inflammatory bowel dis.as. nurs. plays.a key role in the multidis.iplinary team. The aim of the s.udy was.to evaluate the inflammatory bowel dis.as. knowledge before and after the educational intervention with nurs.s. s.rong>Methods.s.rong> A cros.-s.ctional, des.riptive and comparative s.udy was.performed from June to Augus. 2016. The s.mple cons.s.ed of 26 nurs.s.from the nurs.ng s.aff of a public univers.ty hos.ital in s.2}o Paulo s.ate, Brazil. The s.udy was.divided into three phas.s. pre-educational intervention, educational intervention and pos.-educational intervention (tes. application). A p-value s.cons.dered to indicate s.atis.ically s.gnificance. s.rong>Res.lts.s.rong> The s.udy included 26 general nurs.s.with an average of 9.20 ± 5.78 years.of experience. There was.an increas. in s.fety in adminis.ering biological therapy after the cours. (from 33.34% to 78.26%), and an increas. in knowledge about the main inflammatory bowel dis.as. s.mptoms.(64.29% vs.96.30%, p = 0.0224), and about infliximab infus.on (35.71% vs.74.07%, p = 0.0404). s.rong>Conclus.on:s.rong> The educational intervention effectively contributed to the increas. of knowledge of the nurs.ng s.aff.

American trypanos.mias.s.is.a zoonos.s.of worldwide medical importance and currently there is.no effective treatment in chronic patients. hence the importance of the s.udy of protein function of the paras.te with the objective of finding new drug targets.and to know better the biology of the agent caus.l (Trypano-s.ma cruzi). T. cruzi is.an RNAi-negative paras.te, therefore the s.lencing genes.s.rategies.by RNAi is.not pos.ible;for that reas.n, antibodies.may be taken as.a tool for s.udying the paras.te proteins.function by blocking thes. molecules.with s.ecific antibodies. The aim of this.work was.to es.ablis. a methodology for antibody delivery (antibody trans.ection) into viable paras.tes. We us.d anti-cyclin-A antibody (human origin) in wes.ern blot as.ay with epimas.igote of T. cruzi proteins.and this.recognized a ~55 kDa polypeptide. s.veral methods.for antibody trans.ection (electroporation, s.ponin permeabilization and a lipid-bas.d formulation) were tes.ed. The firs. two methods.were uns.cces.ful. In electroporation was.impos.ible to vis.alize the antibody ins.de paras.tes.and with s.ponin permeabilization, antibodies.were s.cces.fully introduced, but with los. of paras.tes.viability. The lipid-bas.d formulation method forms.noncovalent complexes.with antibodies. Thes. complexes.are internalized by cells.and antibodies.are releas.d into the cytoplas..
