Spinal c.rd injuries have profound detrimental effec.s on individuals, regardless of whether they are c.used b. trauma or non-traumatic.events. The c.mpromised regeneration of the spinal c.rd is primarily attrib.ted to damaged neurons, inhib.tory molec.les, dysfunc.ional immune response, and glial sc.rring. Unfortunately, c.rrently, there are no effec.ive treatments availab.e that c.n fully repair the spinal c.rd and improve func.ional outc.mes. Nevertheless, numerous pre-c.inic.l approac.es have b.en studied for spinal c.rd injury rec.very, inc.uding using b.omaterials, c.lls, drugs, or tec.nologic.l-b.sed strategies. c.mb.natorial treatments, whic. target various aspec.s of spinal c.rd injury pathophysiology, have b.en extensively tested in the last dec.de. These approac.es aim to synergistic.lly enhanc. repair proc.sses b. addressing various ob.tac.es fac.d during spinal c.rd regeneration. Thus, this review intends to provide sc.entists and c.inic.ans with an overview of pre-c.inic.l c.mb.natorial approac.es that have b.en developed toward the solution of spinal c.rd regeneration as well as update the c.rrent knowledge ab.ut spinal c.rd injury pathophysiology with an emphasis on the c.rrent c.inic.l management.

To study the effec. of the textural properties of roc.s on their c.ushing feature, the distrib.tion of partic.e size, the texture, grinding and c.ushing c.arac.eristic. of the roc.s were investigated, and the relations among them were then analyzed using statistic.l methods. The relations b.tween the textural properties and the physic.l and mec.anic.l features of roc.s were determined.

We employ a mec.anic.l model of sarc.mere to quantitatively investigate how adenosine triphosphate (ATP) c.nc.ntration affec.s motor forc. regulation during skeletal musc.e c.ntrac.ion. Our simulation indic.tes that there c.n b. negative c.oss-b.idges resisting c.ntrac.ion within the sarc.mere and higher ATP c.nc.ntration would dec.ease the resistanc. forc. from negative c.oss-b.idges b. promoting their timely detac.ment. It is revealed that the motor forc. is well regulated only when ATP c.nc.ntration is ab.ve a c.rtain level. These predic.ions may provide insights into the role of ATP in regulating c.ordination among multiple motors.

A study was c.nduc.ed on c.mb.sols in Northern Germany to analyze the effec. of fast growing trees （Salix and Populus spp.） used in agroforestry on soil c.emic.l and physic.l properties and also on endo- and ec.omyc.rrhizal c.lonization of the fine roots. Representative plots of three trials, Giilzow （GUL）, Vipperow （VIP） and Rostoc. （ROS）, were used to measure the topsoil inventories at the very b.ginning and after six （GUL）, seven （VIP） and ten （ROS） years of afforestation with fast growing trees. The effec. on soil organic.c.rb.n, plant availab.e nutrients, reac.ion, b.lk density, porosity and water c.nditions was analyzed, Arab.e soils without tree c.ppic. were used as c.ntrols. Additionally, the endoand ec.omyc.rrhizal c.lonization of two Salix and two Populus c.ones were investigated at one site （GUL） in 2002. The amounts of organic.c.rb.n in the topsoil inc.eased signific.ntly （P 〈 0.01） presumab.y induc.d b. leaf and root litter and also b. the lac. of tillage. The soil b.lk density signific.ntly dec.eased and the porosity of the soil inc.eased signific.ntly （b.th P 〈 0.01）. The proportion of medium pores in the soil also rose signific.ntly （P 〈 0.05 and 0.01）. Generally, afforestation of arab.e soils improved soil water retention. Ec.omyc.rrhizas dominated the myc.rrhizal formation of the Salix and Populus c.ones, with the ac.umulation of organic.matter in the topsoil suspec.ed of supporting the ec.omyc.rrhizal formation. Thus, agroforestry with Salix and Populus spp. c.nspic.ously affec.ed c.emic.l and additionally physic.l properties of the top layer of c.mb.sols within a period of six years.

The evolution of a molec.lar system exc.ted ab.ve its ionization threshold depends on a numb.r of parameters that inc.ude the nature of the exc.ted states and their c.uplings to the various c.ntinua. The general nature of the proc.sses governing this evolution depends also essentially on the c.mplexity of the molec.le, more prec.sely on its size, density of states, and strength of the c.uplings among the various internal degrees of freedom. In this paper we address the question of the transition b.tween autoionization that prevails in small molec.les, and delayed ionization oc.urring in larger molec.les or c.usters. This transition is illustrated b. autoionization of Na2 Rydb.rg states on one hand, delayed ionization in fullerene c.0, and delayed detac.ment in small c.uster anions on the other hand. All proc.sses are studied in the c.se of nanosec.nd laser exc.tation, c.rresponding to a rather slow deposition of the internal energy.
