The production of invertases by anamorph (A. nidulans) and teleomorph (e. nidulans) was investigated. The best level of extracellular enzymatic production for anomorph was obtained in Khanna medium containing sucrose as carbon source, whereas for teleomorph the best production was archived using M5 medium containing inulin as carbon source. Despite this, rye flour was selected as carbon source. The extracellular enzyme production was higher for teleomorph than that observed for anomorph for all carbon sources used. The enzyme production was inhibited by the addition of fructose and glucose in the medium containing rye flour as carbon source. The best conditions to recover the higher enzymatic activity were temperature of 54℃ - 62℃ and pH of 4.8 5.6 for both enzymes determined by experimental design (CCRD). The stability of the temperatures at 40℃ and 50℃were similar for both enzymes. The invertases from the anomorph and teleomorph were activated by Mn2+, but the response of each one towards the presence of this cation was different with best activation observed for the anomorph enzyme (+80%). The extracellular enzymes were able to hydrolyze inulin, sucrose and raffinose. However, the affinity was higher for sucrose than inulin. In conclusion, the carbon source assimilation and the invertase production, as well as the enzymes properties, were different for the anomorph and teleomorph mycelia.

In eastern South America, high altitude grasslands represent a mountain system that has a high number of endemic species. However, studies on the ecology of plant communities in these environments remain scarce. We aimed to evaluate the patterns of biodiversity and structure of plant communities from rocky outcrops in high altitude grasslands of three areas at the Caparaó National Park, southeastern Brazil, by sampling 300 randomly distributed plots. Then, we compared the floristic composition, relative abundance, and biological and vegetation spectra among areas. We classified species as endemic and non-endemic and verified the occurrence of endangered species. Species richness was evaluated by rarefaction analysis on the sampling units. The importance value and species abundance distribution(SAD) models were assessed. We also performed an indicator species analysis. We sampled 58 species belonging to 49 genera and 32 families. The number of species decreased with increasing altitude, with significant differences being observed among areas regarding richness, abundance, and cover. Of the total number of species, 10 are endemic to the Caparaó National Park and 17 are listed on the Brazilian Red List of endangered species. The dominant families on all peaks were Asteraceae and Poaceae. The SAD models showed lognormal and geometric distributions, corroborating the fact that 10 species that were common to all three areas were also the most dominant ones in the communities and showed the highest importance values, which ranged between 35% and 60%. Indicator species analysis revealed that 28 species(48.27%) were indicators. Of these, 42.85% had maximum specificity, meaning that they occurred only in one area. Thus, the number of species per life form ratio was similar among areas, yet vegetation spectra differed, especially for hemicryptophytes. We report here the activated carbon and cobalt hexacyanoferrate composite,which is applied as the electrode materials in symmetric supercapacitors containing a 1.0 M Na_(2)SO_(4) aqueous *** novel material combines high specific surface area and electrochemical stability of activated carbon with the redox properties of cobalt hexacyanoferrate,resulting in maximum specific capacitance of 329 F g^(-1) with large voltage working window of 2.0 *** studies indicated that cobalt hexacyanoferrate introduces important pseudocapacitive properties accounting for the overall charge-storage process,especially when Ier gravimetric currents(e.g.,0.05 A g^(-1))and up to 1.0 V,the presence of cobalt hexacyanoferrate improves the specific energy for more than 300%.In addition,to better understanding the energy storage process we also provided a careful investigation of the electrode materials under dynamic polarization conditions using the in situ Raman spectroscopy and synchrotron light Xray diffraction *** complementary findings were obtained in these *** believe that this novel electrode material is promising for applications regarding the energy-storage process in pseudocapacitors with long lifespan properties.

The current study set out to find out how shrimp quality in cold storage(4°C)for 21 d was impacted by antimelanosic treatments(10%acerola fruit extract(AF)and 1.25%sodium metabisulphite(SMS)solutions for 10 min)in combination with modified atmosphere packaging(MAP,including vacuum):Atmospheric air(AIR),MAP1[70%N_(2):25%CO_(2):5%O_(2)],MAP2[25%N_(2):70%CO_(2):5%O_(2)],and vacuum(VAC).Untreated samples were considered as Control(C).every three days,microbiological,physicochemical,and sensory investigations were ***,the findings show that MAP improve the shelf-life of shrimp stored under 4°*** the battle to control melanosis,SMS's effectiveness–either alone or in combination with MAP–was ***,the AF was also efficient and can be an effective and a natural substitute in the control of *** considering the results of the physico-chemical and microbiological results,the SMS often did not differ from the treatment with AF,demonstrating the excellent viability of the AF on the quality of the shrimp stored under ***,given that acerola's high levels of vitamin C and phenolic compounds are known to have antioxidant activity,it is advised that additional studies be ***,these studies should aim to isolate specific fruit parts(peel,pulp,seeds)to determine where the highest concentration of phenolic compounds is found,or even to purify acerola extracts to comprehend the fruit's true antimelanosic potential.

Interest in renewable energy sources has increased in recent years due to environmental concerns about global warming and air pollution,reduced costs and improved efficiency of *** the european Union（eU）energy directive,biomass is a suitable renewable *** aim of this study was to experimentally quantify and characterize the emission of particulate matter（PM（2.5））resulting from the combustion of two biomass fuels（chipped residual biomass from pine and eucalypt）,in a pilot-scale bubbling fluidized bed（BFB）combustor under distinct operating *** variables evaluated were the stoichiometry and,in the case of eucalypt,the leaching of the *** CO and PM（2.5）emission factors were lower when the stoichiometry used in the experiments was higher（0.33±0.1 g CO/kg and 16.8±1.0 mg PM（2.5）/kg,dry gases）.The treatment of the fuel by leaching before its combustion has shown to promote higher PM（2.5）emissions（55.2±2.5 mg/kg,as burned）.Organic and elemental carbon represented 3.1 to 30 wt.% of the particle mass,while carbonate（CO3^（2-））accounted for between 2.3 and 8.5 wt.%.The particulate mass was mainly composed of inorganic matter（71% to 86% of the PM（2.5）mass）.Compared to residential stoves,BFB combustion generated very high mass fractions of inorganic *** was the water soluble ion in higher concentration in the PM（2.5）emitted by the combustion of eucalypt,while calcium was the dominant water soluble ion in the case of pine.

Recent data indicate that IGF1R/IRS signaling is a potential therapeutic target in BCR-ABL1-negative myeloproliferative neoplasms(MPN);in this pathway,IRS2 is involved in the malignant transformation induced by JAK2^(V617F),and upregulation of IGF1R signaling induces the MPN ***157,a synthetic compound designed as an IGF1R-IRS1/2 inhibitor,has been shown to induce antineoplastic effects in solid ***,we aimed to characterize the molecular and cellular effects of NT157 in JAK2^(V617F)positive MPN cell lines(HeL and SeT2)and primary patient hematopoietic *** JAK2^(V617F)cell lines,NT157 decreased cell viability,clonogenicity,and cell proliferation,resulting in increases in apoptosis and cell cycle arrest in the G2/M phase(peatment inhibited IRS1/2,JAK2/STAT,and NFκB signaling,and it activated the AP-1 complex,downregulated four oncogenes(CCND1,MYB,WT1,and NFKB1),and upregulated three apoptotic-related genes(CDKN1A,FOS,and JUN)(ped genotoxic stress in a JAK2/STAT-independent ***157 inhibited erythropoietin-independent colony formation in cells from polycythemia vera patients(pese findings further elucidate the mechanism of NT157 action in a MPN context and suggest that targeting IRS1/2 proteins may represent a promising therapeutic strategy for MPN.

AIM To determine the prevalence of epstein-barr virus(eb V)-associated gastric carcinomas in the North Region of Portugal and to study its clinicopathological characteristics. MeTHODS We have performed a retrospective study including a total of 179 consecutive patients with gastric cancer(GC) submitted to gastrectomy during 2011 at the Portuguese Oncology Institute of Porto. Clinical and pathological data was collected from individual clinical records and inserted on a database with unique codification. Tumour tissues were collected from the institutional tumour bank. eb V was detected by in situ hybridization for the detection of eb V-encoded small RNAs(ebe Rs) and eb V latent proteins(LMP1 and LMP2 A) were detected by *** The analysis showed that eb V-associated gastric carcinomas(eb Va GC) represents 8.4%(15/179) of all GC cases, with a significant differential distribution among histological types(P edullary carcinomas, 100%(1/1) of adenosquamous carcinoma, 8.7%(8/92) of tubular adenocarcinomas, 8.0%(2/25) of mixed carcinomas and 2%(1/51) in poorly cohesive carcinomas. The analysis revealed a higher predominance of eb Va GC in the upper third and middle(cardia, fundus and body) of the stomach(P = 0.041), a significant lower number of regional lymph nodes invasion(P = 0.025) and a tendency for better prognosis(P = 0.222). eb V latent protein expression revealed that all eb Va GC cases were LMP1-negative, nevertheless 6 cases(40%) expressed LPM2 A, which reveals that these cases show a distinct eb V-Latency profile(latency II-like).CONCLUSION eb Va GC represents 8.4% of all GC in the North Region of Portugal. The eb V-infected patients have specific clinic-pathological features that should be further explored to develop new strategies of management and treatment.
