With the aging population,intertrochanteric femur fracture in the elderly has become one of the most serious public health issues and a hot topic of research in trauma *** to the limitations of internal fixation techniques and the insufficient mechanical design of nails,the occurrence of complications delays patient recovery after surgical *** of a proximal femur bionic nail(PFBN)based on Zhang’s N triangle theory provides triangular supporting fixation,which dramatically decreases the occurrence of complications and has been widely used for clinical treatment of unstable intertrochanteric femur fracture *** this work,we developed an equivalent biomechanical model to analyze improvement in bone remodeling of unstable intertrochanteric femur fracture through PFBN *** results show that compared with proximal femoral nail antirotation(PFNA)and InterTan,PFBN can dramatically decrease the maximum strain in the proximal *** on Frost’s mechanostat theory,the local mechanical environment in the proximal femur can be regulated into the medium overload region by using a PFBN,which may render the proximal femur in a state of physiological overload,favoring post-operative recovery of intertrochanteric femur fracture in the *** work shows that PFBN may constitute a panacea for unstable intertrochanteric femur fracture and provides insights into improving methods of internal fixation.

Siliceous diatoms are one of the most prominent actors in the oceans,and they account for approximately 40%of the primary production and particulate organic carbon export *** is believed that changes in carbon flux caused by variations in diatom distribution can lead to significant climate *** the fundamental pathways of diatom-driven carbon sequestration have long been established,there are no reports of cacO_(3) precipitation induced by marine diatom *** manuscript introduces novel details regarding the enhancement of aragonite precipitation during photosynthesis in Skeletonema costatum in both artificial and natural *** direct measurements of cell surfaces via a pH microelectrode and zeta potential analyzer,it was determined that the diatom-mediated promotion of cacO_(3) precipitation is achieved through the creation of specific microenvironments with concentrated[cO_(3)^(2-)]and[ca^(2+)]and/or the dehydrating effect of adsorbed ca^(2+).Based on this mechanism,it is highly plausible that diatom-mediated calcification could occur in the oceans,an assertion that was supported by the significant deviation of total alkalinity(TA)from the conservative TA-salinity mixing line during a Skeletonema costatum bloom in the East china Sea and other similar *** newly discovered calcification pathway establishes a link between particulate inorganic and organic carbon flux and thus helps in the reassessment of marine carbon export fluxes and cO_(2) sequestration *** discovery may have important ramifications for assessing marine carbon cycling and predicting the potential effects of future ocean acidification.

cu-rich cell boundary phase is difficult to precipitate evenly,resulting in a generally poor demagnetization curve squareness for Fe-rich Sm_(2)co_(17)-type magnet,which is a key factor limiting the further improvement of magnetic energy *** this study,we report that nanoscale strip-like ordered micro-domains distributed in1:7H disordered matrix phase of the solid solution precursor is a new factor significantly affecting the precipitation and distribution of the cell boundary *** strip-like and continuous micro-twin structure with twin boundaries neatly perpendicular to the c-axis is observed after sintering *** solution treatment,sequential and long strip-like micro-twins gradually transform into disordered state along the basal plane,forming narrow disordered 1:7H(Tbcu_(7)-type structure)phase between the separated strip-like ordered *** disordering transformation takes place via broken down of the long strip-like ordered micro-domains,which is accomplished by narrowing along the width direction followed by reduction of the ***,a new model revealing the effect of the ordered micro-domains on the formation of the cell boundary phase is *** boundaries enriched in cu have already existed in the precursor with long strip-like ordered ***,the cu-rich cell boundary phase acting as strong pinning centers cannot be precipitated homogeneously and distributed continuously after aging,resulting in a poor demagnetization curve squareness of Sm_(2)co_(17)-type *** results indicate that significant broken down of the nanoscale ordered micro-domains in solution precursor is the key factor improving the distribution of cell boundary phase in Sm_(2)co_(17)-type magnets.

In this paper,we study the semilinear subelliptic equation{−△Xu=f(x,u)+g(x,u)inΩ,u=0 on∂Ω,where△X=−∑m i=1 Xi∗Xi is the self-adjoint Hormander operator associated with the vector fields X=(X_(1),X_(2),...,X_(m))satisfying the Hormander's condition,f(x,u)∈c(Ω×R),g(x,u)is a carathéodory function onΩ×R,andΩis an open bounded domain in R~n with smooth *** the perturbation from the symmetry method with the approaches involving the eigenvalue estimate and the Morse index in estimating the minimax values,we obtain two kinds of existence results for multiple weak solutions to the problem ***,we discuss the difference between the eigenvalue estimate approach and the Morse index approach in degenerate *** with the classical elliptic cases,both approaches here have their own strengths in the degenerate *** new phenomenon implies that the results in general degenerate cases would be quite different from the situations in classical elliptic cases.

Androgenetic alopecia(AGA)is a chronic and progressive form of hair loss characterized by vascular degeneration in the perifollicular microenvironment,leading to cell apoptosis and eventual loss of hair follicles(HFs).Traditional therapeutic formulations,such as Minoxidil(MXD)tincture,have limitations in reshaping the perifollicular microenvironment and exhibit limited ***,we report a multi-synergistic therapeutic platform for high-performance hair regeneration *** platform combines microneedle(MN)patches loaded with MXD-encapsulated nanostructured lipid carriers(MXD-NLc-MNs)and cold atmospheric plasma(cAP).The MNs’mechanical strength enables efficient transdermal delivery of MXD to the targeted dermal papilla cells,promoting cell ***,in collaboration with MXD,the mechanical stimulation exerted by MN application synergistically upregulates the expression of vascular endothelial growth factor,leading to ***,the transient microchannels in the skin created by MNs facilitate the transdermal delivery of cAPgenerated nitric oxide(NO)to the sites of HF lesions,whereby the synergistic interaction between MXD and NO boosts perifollicular ***,the perifollicular microenvironment can be effectively reshaped to accelerate hair regeneration in AGA murine *** multi-synergistic combination therapy strategy would hold great promise for effectively treating AGA and promoting hair regrowth.
