BACKGROUND Autoi.muni.y has emerged as a probable di.ease modi.i.r i. pati.nts wi.h cli.i.ally di.gnosed type 2 di.betes melli.us(T2DM),that i.,pati.nts who have i.suli. resi.tance,obesi.y,and other cardi.vascular ri.k factors,suggesti.g that the presence of glutami. aci. decarboxylase(anti.GAD65),i.let anti.en 2(anti.i.2),and zi.c transporter 8(anti.Zn8T)anti.odi.s could have deleteri.us effects on beta cell functi.n,causi.g fai.ure and earli.r requi.ement for i.suli. *** To evaluate anti.GAD65,anti.i.2 and anti.Zn8T as predi.tors of early i.suli. requi.ement i. adolescents wi.h a cli.i.al di.gnosi. of *** Thi. was a case–control study i. pati.nts wi.h cli.i.ally di.gnosed wi.h T2DM(68 cases and 64 controls wi.h and wi.hout early i.suli. dependence respecti.ely),male and female,aged 12–18 ***,blood pressure,glucose,i.suli.,C-pepti.e,glycated hemoglobi. A1c,and li.i. profi.es were *** was used to measure anti.GAD65,anti.i.2,and anti.Zn8T *** stati.ti.s,Pearson'sχ2 test,Student's t test,and logi.ti. regressi.n was performed.Pi.ered stati.ti.ally *** There were 132 pati.nts(53.8%female),wi.h a mean age was 15.9±1.3 years,and there was a di.ease evoluti.n ti.e of 4.49±0.88 *** presence of anti.GAD65,anti.i.2,and anti.Zn8T posi.i.i.y was found i. 29.5%,18.2%,and 15.9%,*** the groups by early or no i.suli. dependence showed that the group wi.h i.suli. had a hi.her frequency of anti.ody posi.i.i.y:anti.GAD65 odds rati.(OR):2.42(1.112–5.303,P=0.026);anti.i.2:OR:1.55(0.859–2.818,P=0.105);and anti.Zn8T:OR:7.32(2.039–26.279,P=0.002).CONCLUSi.N Anti.GAD65 posi.i.i.y was hi.h i. our ***-GAD65 and anti.Zn8T posi.i.i.y showed a si.ni.i.antly depleted beta cell reserve phenotype,leadi.g to an i.creased ri.k of early i.suli. dependence.

Background: Kangaroo Mother Care i. a si.ple safe method used to care for low-bi.th-wei.ht babi.s. Low-bi.th-wei.ht i. a global publi. health i.sue that pose si.ni.i.ant challenge to peri.atal care systems. Globally, compli.ati.ns due to low-bi.th-wei.ht are the leadi.g cause of neonatal mortali.y, resulti.g i. an esti.ated 1 mi.li.n deaths annually. Kangaroo Mother Care (KMC) i. a low-cost method of care for low-bi.th-wei.ht i.fants i. areas wi.h i.adequate i.cubators and power outages wi.h posi.i.e outcomes. Objecti.es: To assess factors i.fluenci.g acceptabi.i.y of Kangaroo Mother Care (KMC) i. Ni.U at Arthur Davi.on Chi.dren’s Hospi.al i. Ndola, Zambi.. Methodology: A cross secti.nal quanti.ati.e analyti.al study desi.n was used. The study was conducted at Arthur Davi.on Chi.dren’s Hospi.al (ADCH) i. Ndola, Zambi.. The purposi.e sampli.g method was used to select the study parti.i.ants and a total of 129 mothers wi.h Low Wei.ht Babi.s A were selected to parti.i.ate structured closed ended questi.nnai.e was used to collect data from the parti.i.ants usi.g an i.tervi.w. Data was analyzed usi.g a Stati.ti.al Package for Soci.l Sci.nti.ts (SPSS) software versi.n 26. Cross tabulati.ns were done to determi.e associ.ti.n of vari.bles usi.g a Chi.square (x2) test at 95% confi.ence i.terval and were assumpti.ns where not met, fi.hers exact test was used. Multi.ari.te bi.ary logi.ti. regressi.n analysi. was used to quanti.y the relati.nshi. between the dependent and i.dependent vari.bles. Results: Most of the respondents had male babi.s 77%, 69% of the babi.s wei.hed 1000 g - 1400 g, majori.y 79% had normal deli.ery, 71% of the respondents were multi.ravi.a and most of the respondents 79% were marri.d. The study revi.wed that 85% of those who attai.ed secondary educati.n accepted KMC, 74% of the respondents wi.hout monthly i.come accepted KMC, 80% of the respondents had posi.i.e atti.ude and accepted KMC. 82% of the respondents who had posi.i.e percepti.n accep

The PubMed, Scopus, and Google Scholar databases were screened usi.g predefi.ed search terms to i.enti.y studi.s pertai.i.g to adverse events and/or outcomes associ.ted wi.h physi.al restrai.t use, and the factors associ.ted wi.h thei. use i. adult pati.nts admi.ted to the i.U. A total of 24 arti.les (i.cludi.g 6126 pati.nts) that were publi.hed between 2006 and 2022 were i.enti.i.d. The descri.ed adverse events associ.ted wi.h physi.al restrai.t use i.cluded ski. i.juri.s, subsequent deli.i.m, neurofuncti.nal i.pai.ment, and a hi.her rate of post-traumati. stress di.order. Subsequent deli.i.m was the most frequent adverse event to be reported. No alternati.e measures to physi.al restrai.ts were di.cussed, and only one study reported a standardi.ed protocol for thei. use. Although physi.al restrai.t use has been reported to be associ.ted wi.h adverse events (i.cludi.g neurofuncti.nal i.pai.ment) i. the li.erature, the avai.able evi.ence i. li.i.ed. Although causali.y cannot be confi.med, a defi.i.e associ.ti.n appears to exi.t. Our fi.di.gs suggest that i. i. essenti.l to i.prove awareness regardi.g thei. adverse i.pact and opti.i.e approaches for thei. detecti.n, management, and preventi.n usi.g protocols or checkli.ts.

Renewable energi.s are of major i.terest due to thei. i.exhausti.le and clean nature, wi.h mi.i.al i.pact on the envi.onment. Numerous technologi.al pathways exi.t i. thi. fi.ld, each di.ti.gui.hed by the materi.ls used and thei. i.plementati.n pri.ci.les. However, the cost-effi.i.ncy rati. remai.s a si.ni.i.ant challenge for researchers. Currently, organi. materi.ls are gai.i.g populari.y due to thei. relati.ely low cost. However, thei. performance, parti.ularly i. terms of conversi.n effi.i.ncy, sti.l requi.es i.provements. Thi. study focuses on opti.i.i.g the organi. photovoltai. cell i.O/MoO3/CARAPA/PCBM/Alq3/Al usi.g SCAPS. Several parameters were consi.ered, such as layer thi.kness, recombi.ati.n center densi.y, and dopi.g, to i.prove the cell’s performance. The opti.al parameters obtai.ed i.clude an effi.i.ncy of 3%, a fi.l factor of 81.67%, an open-ci.cui. voltage of 1610 mV, and a short-ci.cui. current of 2.28 mA/cm2. The study also revealed that dopi.g the phenyl-C61-butyri. aci. methyl ester (PCBM) layer has a si.ni.i.ant i.pact on effi.i.ncy and short-ci.cui. current, i.provi.g these parameters up to a certai. poi.t before causi.g degradati.n due to i.creased recombi.ati.n. Furthermore, hi.h dopi.g of the tri.(8-hydroxyqui.oli.e) alumi.um (Alq3) layer i.proves performance up to a cri.i.al threshold, after whi.h degradati.n i. also observed. i. contrast, dopi.g the molybdenum tri.xi.e (MoO3) layer does not have a notable i.pact on cell performance. Regardi.g the thi.kness of the acti.e Carapaprocera (CARAPA) and PCBM layers, non-opti.al values lead to a decrease i. performance. Si.i.arly, an opti.al thi.kness of the Alq3 layer si.ni.i.antly i.proves effi.i.ncy. These results hi.hli.ht the i.portance of parameter opti.i.ati.n to maxi.i.e the effi.i.ncy of organi. solar cells.
